Check the "Outlaws Live at the Record Plant "circa 1976. No video only audio. The best "live" Outlaws recordings that I have ever heard!. Has a 15 minute version of Green Grass and High Tides. Sounds like a very, very small venue.
Thanks for the reply "LynSkyn1981". We used to play Outlaws, Skynrd, ZZ...ect. in the 70's and 80's before we all got involved and had families. Check out Suffrin Blye on youtube. We still get together to do benefits and parties for fun even though we are all in our mid to late player, but I don't think that he ever really fit in with the Outlaws. Check out "No Reply" band Regards, Steve
This is not an "Outlaws" song ! It's a Henry Paul Band tune,..and the name they should be using now instead, the are sueing Hughie's Widow. IT'S A DISGRACE.
HUGHIE,, WITH CRISS AND BB FROM HATCHET,,, I THINK HAD A BETTER LINE UP IN THE 90S,,,BEFORE HUGHIE WENT TO SKYNYRD,,,MY FRIENDS OPENED FOR THE OUTLAWS,,,,LOOK UP[ THE BONG SONG] FROM COTTONMOUTH.. I HAVE PICS OF HUGHIE ON THE TOUR BUS,,,DAMN NICE GUY RIP HUGHIE
I think that Henry is a shit bag! Played the first three albums with the Outlaws, went out on his own, came back for a short while, and then went back on his own again, Now with Billie and Hughie gone. he tries to profit from their hard work. Chris Anderson is a pretty good guitar player, but he should stay with Les Pauls. Henry, you're a loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Caught their show during the summer in VA and again in Nov in OH. I'm going to see them again in the Spring in Annapolis. Can't get enough of these guys - they haven't missed a step. Billy Crain, Chris Anderson, and Randy Threet are an incredible guitar combination - great energy in live performance. And Henry Paul brings them all together. With Monty Yoho playing w/them, they give a vibe like they really enjoy playing together - they put on a great show. Catch them when they come your way
It irks me a little and it seems a little 'after the fact that Henry Paul would rejoin AFTER Hughie dies. I know they did a tour together and went separate ways when it was over, but i never understood why he wouldn't have just stayed. Blackhawk was washed up, and Outlaws awareness was enjoying a cool resurgence. It seems pointless to me now that Henry rejoins after Hughie's no longer with us.
Yes, same band, but with a line-up that is different. Frank O'Keef (original bassist) died in '95, Billy Jones (one of the original guitarist) committed suicide in '95, Hughie Thomasson, original guitarist/vocalist and founding member, died in 2007
@FFppppff It's incredibly sad. Seems like the Southern Rock guys all burned out and left us way too soon. Jackson Spires of Blackfoot, Duane and Barry of Allmans, Toy, Tommy and George from Marshall Tucker, not to mention 6 of the Skynyrd guys, Danny Joe and duane from molly hatchet, all gone now.
@FFppppff ~ Yeah - Steve and Cassie Gaines and Ronnie Van Zant in the plane crash 33 yrs ago yesterday, Allen Collins (who was wheelchair bound from a car accident in '86) died in 1990, bassist Leon Wilkerson died in 2001, and keyboardist Billy Powell died in January of 2009. But anyway...Long Live the original Guitar Army: The Outlaws!
@TheHammerheart WoW I didn't knew any of that.... well, you are right on one thing " LONG LIVE TO THE OUTLAWS " WOOOOOOOW :P thanks for all the info. you gave me! I guess I felt stupid for some hours :S XD Thanks!
@txlastrebel I went & saw this line up of the Outlaws earlier this year. By far it was the best concert I've seen in awhile. I go to alot of concerts & this line up destroyed every other band I've seen lately. I've seen them 4 more times since then. Can't get enough! The vocal harmonies were extraordinary & the guitar work was unbelievable. Keep an open mind & go see for yourself. I loved Hughie too but I want the music of the Outlaws to live on.
Henry Paul is back with the band after Hughie's passing. Monte Yoho has been back on drums since 2005, and 80's Outlaws guitarist Chris Anderson is playing guitar again (since 2005). They've added Billy Crain (Henry Paul Band) and Jon Coleman (keyboard). Randy Threet (ex-Blackhawk w/Henry) joined up with The Outlaws in 2005 as well.

They were not suing Mary Thomasson. She sued the band and lost the suit. It is public record - go look it up - I have.

@TheHammerheart Henry Paul didnt need anyone to front him. He kicked ass with his own band.

@detroitchuckie ~ I agree, but man wasn't it great when it was both Henry and Hughie BOTH up there fronting the band?
