  • Hi great demo. What was the vol. level on the amp?

  • @LesterPaul01 The amp volume was on 5.

  • Thanks!

  • Can anybody tell me how exactly this is different from the actual 1965

  • @JamesCornelisonMusic The original 1965 would be a hand wired amp as opposed to a reissue that would be circuit board amp. The sound is very similar between the two. the 65 Super Reverb is $1293.49 at nstuffmusic with coupon code: FENDER35

  • I love the sound of this amp!

  • my fender super reverb amp has a horrible ringing sound when i turn it on, should i take it back to the shop to get it checked out or is this normal?

oh and also the red light that comes on flickers a lot :P is this a problem to?

  • @ant15wolves I would get it checked out for sure could be a microphonic tube...and I am not sure what the red light issue is.If you are talking about the power light than it is most likely the socket the bulbs sits in is bad.

  • im 16. 17 in a month. im going to get a job, save up for this, and some earplugs.

  • if this amp had not distortion it will be the same as the 65 deluxe reverb?

  • There is a BK Butler real tube reverb on ebay right now.

  • You are the best demonstrator on the net. Best tone. Great playing. No 5 minutes talking before playing.

  • So is the only difference between this and a deville just the overdrive channel?

  • @lutecore Gosh no...They are differently voiced amps. As awesome as the clean channels are, the do have different tonality to them, same with the gain stages.

  • @NstuffMusic

You look like your really enjoying playing throught his amp mark..Im considering buying one of these for that big clean sound thats got that stereo quality about it..

Would i be right on the money here?

  • run at 3:25 made me smile !

  • I'm thinking about buying a new Fender amp but I cant decide between this or the Bassman. I use various gain pedals. What would work better?

  • @qaws12321able The Bassman is a cleaner amp overall, a little warmer. The 65 has a hotter gain circuit and is brighter in tone. If you want you pedals to do the work, then get the Bassman.

  • @NstuffMusic

    Hi Mark,

Can you get Mark Knopfler tones with this amp ? Im looking for soft cleans that can be managed on a big amp

  • @qaws12321able bassman's rock with pedals, the bassman has an awesome clean sound, not as sparkle as the super reverb, but nice, on the other hand the super reverb can not get that awesome bassman tone, so it is 6 and 2 3s depending what U want, I have a silverface bassman 100 and it rocks big time, tryed a twin last night, which was spankier, but not as nice a clean sound to me like, may get a silverface super as well, just to have both great cleans, what did U get ?

  • Finally a great player demoing a great amp...thanks, your playing skills do justice to the gear you show in your vids!

  • Does anyone know if you can plug a head into this and use it as a cabinet??????

  • Mark, I could listen to you play all day. Always smooth, always tasty, always interesting. Love it.

  • @NstuffMusic Thank you for the fast answer!!

No I have not, but I am gonna bring it to one as fast as I can.

I talked with the shop who sold me the amp! they said I should bring it there too!

Yes I have single coil pickups! But I just ordered my a Gibson ES339, and the amp has to be ready for that

    guitar ;)

But I don't have a contrast you know, I don't know how much the amp "noises" normally....

In your video it's very quiet!!

  • PLEASE HELP ME!!

I have the super reverb in the studio and I cant use it for recording because

it is hissing like crazy!! so I always have a noise even if volume,eq,reverb and vib. is down to 1!!

    Please I need help!!

What can i do?, is it because of the tubes or what?

  • i wanna hear the reverb on this amp turned all the way up...

  • What is in this gentleman's ear? It's freaking me out.

  • @Wodey25 dude its his microphone

  • @Wodey25 a mic

  • Nice demo! And thanks for the great playing!!

  • that run you do at 4:16 is insane !

  • is it loud enough for a live performance.....and when cranked up does it lose the quality of the clean tone

  • @ihaveaverybadcold It's definitely loud enough for live performance. It stays tight and doesn't mush up. It has that Keith Richards clean tone.

  • @NstuffMusic cool thx

  • @NstuffMusic hey! i just bought this amp!! and umm yeah wow!!....but i got a question....i bought it used and it didnt have the switch pedal for the vibrato....so i went to go buy one and when you plug it in the reverb shuts off and only the vibrato cuts on and off with the pedal...it is a fender one knob pedal....its black and round....whats goin on here....i kinda dont think its suppose to do that....but it is the best sounding amp i have ever had....i love it....cant wait to mod it up!!!

  • @ihaveaverybadcold It should be a 2-button footswitch vintage style.

  • @NstuffMusic hey i got a question....if you plug a 4 12 cab in this amp does it get louder per say or does it just spread the sound??

  • @ihaveaverybadcold ... hahahaha Loud? That Thing will blow the ears off you... IT IS VERY VERY LOUD! so loud the drummer might need to mic up even if your jamming in your basement :p

  • @jon109kick Can't touch a twin loud.

  • I had a 70s silver face one best clean sound I ever owned and very musical and notes bloom really nice something thats hard to describe in words alone. Not the same as say the clean channel on a hotrod deluxe and why that is I don't know but not to take away from the overall value of the hotrod.

  • basically the super is more a blues, jazz, country and R&B amp.. the best as far as heavy it will get is cranking it to 7, which with a strat or tele will get a great Keith Richards sound and with a les paul you can get a great sound sort of like Claptons Creme era, works great with pedals

  • I really wish I could find unbluesy demos of this amp

  • @MrNonoz haha Yes

  • have you guys got a chance to play the fender twin 15"?

  • I really like your playing style, very tasteful. What part of the world are you based in?

  • i like this better than the bassman

  • Painful

  • I just bought one of these and so far, so good. But I just wanted to say that aside from the great tone, this demo was great. Great playing, guy. You should do some jazz recordings.

  • Can i use the normal channel with reverb?Because i don't want vibrato all time but reverb is must for my playing.

    Thanks

I used a Gibson LP and a VOX Tonelab LE

  • @sakourtele You have to use the vibrato channel to get reverb but the amp comes with a 2 button footswitch to turn the tremolo and reverb of and on.

  • does it break up like a 59 bassman around midway?? how many watts is it?

  • @FahQposeurfag The 65 Super Reverb is 45 watts. It does break up like the Bassman but has more punch.

  • @NstuffMusic that's cool, thanks...must be a kick ass amp.

  • Nice demo, and playing. This is a great example.

  • I REALLY WANT ONE OF THIS BAD BOYS!!!!!!
