just thought id ask, does it matter where the rope is tied up at? i don't have the kind of boat i see in a lot of these videos so my rope is tied up low close to the engine. please get back at me about this, just curious if it makes a difference.
@XploydedH2O difference yes, if the rope is tied almost at water level, it will drag you down as soon as you leave the wake and can also make you lose balance by pulling on your arms vertically instead of horizontally. so try to tie your rope approximately at the height you jump (6-9' from the water, not the boat's floor!). The rope will then drag you up and might get a few more feet each jump. Finally make sure you have a wakeboard specific line (spectra) with very little stretch. hfn
Hey! I really like your video. You should think about submitting it to the Mercury Film Festival, starting June 3rd. You could win a free outboard or a fishing trip. You can find more information about rules, prizes, and eligibility at the Mercury Marine website. Good luck!
@ScreamForYourMuse Check out 1:27 as well. That is also letting go of the handle (osmosis in wakeboarding). The 009 is an osmosis 540 into an ole (handle overhead) 360. I have never ridden with Matt Simms but I know of people that has and he apparently used to throw that as his first trick in competition runs. The 009 was landed quite a while ago also! I don't believe anyone else has/can do it.
sick vid... i dont know how much i agree with the order and what not though... i think the double roll mobe should be before the nose grab osmosis 7, and you already mentioned it but rathys backside 10should be up there too... other than that nice job

Yeah it does, having a tower or a pole makes a huge difference when your trying to jump or doing tricks.
