  • best version of this song ever

  • xXTheOwnerXx its preference you cant say ones better. ingnorance sux dont it

  • ''The acoustic guitar represents the relationship of the guitar player with the chords, because its pure. Eletric guitar needs eletrecity, cables, and amps. With the acoustic guitar, its only you and the instrument. Its organic and you cannot pretend. For me, its essential to the prosses of writing and create. If the music is good, it can be played in the acoustic or in the eletric.''

    Nuno Bettencourt - Extreme

  • @mmrrjjoohhnnyy Tabs are pretty hard to find for this, because Eric copyrighted all of the tabs, meaning sites such as Ultimate Guitar can't post them. The way i learned the song is by looking at instructional videos. A great one i found was by Justinguitar. Hope this helped (:

  • I've gotta admit, i love both original and acustic versions of this song, but i am a sucker for acustic guitars, and i love this song!!!!

  • You know, I love "songs made by computers". But yet I admit, that THIS is real music!

  • @jacobwaxman By "this" you mean by ear from this video?

  • Ah here it is, my fav version of the song! STUNNING!

  • I don't know why, but whenever I hear this version of Layla, I always imagine old men in the park playing this song, minus the keyboards and drums, but as they play it they're laughing and smiling. Heck, it makes me smile too.

  • @weipax Greg Phillinganes; Clapton mumbles his name right before the solo

  • there is good songwriter music today as well, don't be so blindly conservative...

  • @haingoccu agreed, all music is good (well most) , it just keeps changing

  • @haingoccu if thats in reply to my comment, I do hold my hands up, there are some good musicians these days but it seems like the older music has had more thought put into it than most of the mainstream bands these days.

  • @Danibanez600 thats true, music field has widen, most of stupid mainstream music is present in the charts. i recommend u "amsterdam acoustic" , just type it in the search field. great artist performing their songs in amsterdam :)

  • I love this song, and even more over the electric version, Eric should make more music :) :) :)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm on my knees...

  • my father was a guitar player from georgia, he named my sister's layla and lisa anfter this song

  • I love that two-tone Daytona Clapton has

  • who's keying the hammond? damn he's sweet!

sounds bit like pj morgan, but it ain't... -.- help me out here

  • fuck those songs made by computer. this is what you call real music

  • @davidcotestratton

    daaaaaaamn straight!!!!

  • @davidcotestratton OUTSTANDING COMMENT! I cannot believe how many acts are computer generated and they win friggen grammy's for it!? WTF is that all about? Hit a few keys on a program, it keeps perfect time for you, add percussion, add a bass line and select the chords you want...here is your grammy! 100% Absolutely pathetic and I refuse to listen or even acknowledge them as valid musical groups! Clapton is blues royalty and shows everyone how to do it the right way!!!

  • @plochman30 thanks man i cant wait to get my band going :) gotta stay true to the music

  • @plochman30 I disagree a bit. I LOVE the classics. But making good music on a computer isnt as easy as everyone thinks. You still have to be talented as a musician to create GOOD electronica and such. Definitely more to it than a few key strokes.

  • @18banderson Computer music sucks. Deal with it.

  • @denizoniiix No reason to be disrespectful. I make music on my guitar and on my computer. I love the classics and am not disrespecting clapton at all, why would i be watching the video if i didnt like it. I was simply commenting that there is more to making "computer music" than a few keystrokes. You still require talent. Sheesh.

  • @davidcotestratton that is real talk right there.

  • @davidcotestratton your wrong, things made by a computer shouldn't be called songs. They should be called... disgrace to human kind?

  • @LightbikeOnline Its still "thinking noise", so its music according to V. Hugo.

Also, a computer doesn't make music. Human does. It's just an instrument, like a guitar, a violin, a theremin or anything else.

At least try to understand how it works instead of telling some stupid prejudices

  • @Medioda A computer is not an instrument. The computer is used to process, change, create, and/or replicate sounds. You cant "play" a computer like you can with other instruments.

  • @LightbikeOnline

You can play it differently. And what is it if it's not an instrument ?

  • nice song ;)

  • Ive been asked why at the age of 21, I listen to "Old", my answer is because "New" music is all done by computers, this is a natural born raw talented musician that makes beautifull music. I am happy to say I can now play this on my new acoustic :)

  • @Danibanez600

    That's exactly what I'd say!

I'm just listening to "old" music, like Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, etc.

THIS is true music! Shit of today is shit! ;D

  • @Danibanez600

I'm sorry but that's bullshit. Some of it is done all by computers, sure, but there are musicians like you describe being born every day.

Old stuff is usually better though :p

  • @EquinoxOfTheGods I've already held my hands up to someone else and realised i made a boo boo in my comment haha, knew I wouldnt be scrutinised for it. yeah your right there are some good bands these days.

  • @Danibanez600

Aight. I do agree though that the old mainstream seemed to have more thought and soul to it than new mainstream music. That's what I feel anyways, and that's why I stay away from it :)

  • @Danibanez600 When "they" say 'old", ask them if songs came with expiry dates.

This is one of my favorites, and I wouldn't like someone criticizing it.

  • @StonedRebel89 haha I like that one. very true though

  • @Danibanez600 Thanks man.

  • @Danibanez600 This isn't talent. He wasn't born that way. Practice made him the skilled genius he is now.

  • @Danibanez600 doesn't mather it's computer or not as long they put all there feelings and soul in they make good music ;-) Lamb use a computer but makes super music ;-)

  • @Danibanez600 Good to hear^^ Just keep up practicing the guitar and you can maybe almost reach Clapton's level :)

    Peace!!!!

  • @klodser9090 haha i dont know about that mate

  • @Danibanez600 Yea, you're right. NOONE will ever achieve his level :)

  • @Danibanez600 Yea, you're right. NOONE will ever achieve his level :D

  • @Danibanez600 ive been asked the same question and im 14

  • @sethypoo727 Douchebag....

  • @Danibanez600

hey hey hey...easy on digital music, till u can play that too.. then comment on it.

  • @Danibanez600 haha shut up bruv

  • @Danibanez600 I get asked the same, but i am 13 :) I couldnt agree more with what you say....the music back then, the people could actually sing, and not have there terrible voices autotuned to make it seem like they can

  • @Danibanez600 i love all music including dance music but this is raw talent

  • @Danibanez600

wow cool dude to tell me that, how do you feel now... show off

  • @Danibanez600

    nicely said...

new music is so crap, and good new music is so rare....
