@boblabon I can't obtain any water types other than magikarp and maybe tantacool. When I get a super rod (within the next few episodes) I will be getting a shellder, evolving it to a cloyster and will eventually be replacing it with lapras. In terms of fire types, I have very little use for them because they don't match up well against Gen I's elite 4, if my memory serves me correctly.
For some reason it bothers me you don't have a fire or a water type in your party. I'd recommend Starmie and Ninetails to be added but you don't really have room and probably don't have my particular brand of pokemon OCD.

It really helps that Dig was just as powerful as Earthquake in the first gen. 100 base power. Yup. Dig got nerfed later on.

Tentacools have good special a good way to take them out in gen 1 is with a ground type move or a phys move in later gens.
