That "reading rainbow" intermission really cracked me up.
I love Kathy Love's book, Not a huge fan of Barron's publications. That was really helpful though, I recently bought a Brazilian rainbow boa. Still have my snow and amel motley corns. =)
i rly want a pet snake and my mom says shes okay as long as it dusnt get 2 big, what snakes would u recommend? i heard about a rubber boa do those grow pretty big?and also what is the snake ur holding during this vid?
but can be problematic feeders, which is a real bitch, especially if your inexperienced! But yeah they are docile, inquisitive, chunky, beautiful snakes! They live about 2x longer than corns though, so it is a commitment when you get one!
Good Job! yes there are alot of people who want info ... and usally ask the wrong person and get bad advice (cough)(pet stores)(cough)/ they should have did research themselves and read the manual.
do boas and pythons grow huge!? i really want them too look 4-5 feet forever bekus deir more handelble apperntly and llok better. i dont like big snakes
i also read alot... & have a few books on the snakes we have in are collection, or snakes that we intend on adding to are collection. i just like to watch the awesome vids we all put out. niiice vid!!! letting everyone know they can learn from here & other places!

I am holding a boa.
For a beginner snake I would shoot for a Sand boa maybe or a cornsnake!

turtlekid8 3 years ago

Some boas and pythons grow big, others don't. sand boas are small, check them out.

there are several boas that are small and pythons but some are harder to keep than others

sands and rosy boas dont grow too big ball pythons can grow up to 5 feet depends on if you get a male or female females tend to be larger than males
