@mtp15481:It wasn't any weak team like ZIM or kenya.Moreover, when G'uly came out to bat in this innings,India were already 3 wickets down.It was an immense pressure situation & over here G'uly showed his class by scoring a century.This innings against the aussies set the tone for India for the rest of the series as it showed his fellow team members that India CAN fight back.Also,what is important is the context in which the runs r scored.So,again it was DADA who came to India's RESCUE ACT.

@majantali , In kumble's time, we were winning the second test in sydney (remember andrew 'the monkey' symonds) when Bucknor showed the exact meaning of the word 'pathetic'....and Kumble had enough nerve to tell the whites that only one team had played it well....yes Ganguly brought some good faces into the team but it more or less was the policy of bringing in 'his chaps' versus what the selectors deemed fit. And without Jagmohan Dalmiya, Ganguly could have well been gone as early as possible.
