  • All these peanut bans are ridiculous! people with peanut allergies should be isolated from the normals

  • exposure is the cure

  • If banning peanut butter for school children is reasonable to prevent some number less than 100-150 deaths, why don't we save more than 54 - 76 times that number by banning all 73.7 million children in the United States from riding in cars?

  • @kimmykola "children" are defined as someone under the age of 18. 15 is usually the age for a learners permit and 16 is the driving age, shit do i have to spell it out for you? This video mentions little kids in kindergarteners who are exposed to peanut which is EXTREMELY dangerous if it so so severe to the point to where they could suffer anaphylaxis which is defined as a rapidy occuring and life threatening allergic reaction.

  • @reptile1104 Struck a nerve??????

  • @kimmykola just using common sense

  • @reptile1104 ME TOO. Stay well.

  • @kimmykola there is obviously a huge difference between letting a 16 year old drive by his own and making a stupid decision and a kid who is born with something he/she cannot control. These 2 things have complete differences. One is allowing someone to make the choice to drive where they also have the choice to drive irresponsibly and someone who develops something potentially deadly out of their control. Your attempt to trivialize the issue by using arbitrary statistics draws no connection.

  • I would send my child to school with peanut butter and peanut products everyday...what are they going to do take you kids lunch...thats a lawsuit waiting to happen!!!

  • @reptile1104 LOL...because I dont give two shits about 1 or at the most 2 kids with "peanut allergies" they are effecting the lives of hundred of other children in that school! Making the majority suffer is extremely SELFISH on your part! The "peanut allergy" hysteria is extremely over-blown by the "hey look at me crowd"

  • @avail18 First of all, stop trying to appear you have any sense in the argument by starting it with" LOL. No one else is laughing. Who values your regardless opinion of "who gives a shit about 1 or 2 kids with "peanut allergies." I find it funny how you put that in quotations marks attempting to pretend that it doesn't exist. To even attempt to see it's selfish on my part to make people "suffer" from a minor inconvenience makes your logic repugnant and you yourself an absolute moron.

  • @reptile1104 Typical of a "peanut allergy hysteric" you have zero facts and are willing to make the majority of children suffer becuase one or two students are "allergic" to peanuts... If your are unwilling to understand that a functioning society can not cater to the minority, its effects the lives of the majority childrens health and their own nutrition! A minor inconvenience...are you fucking kidding??? The child should be home schooled or sent to a private school that will cater to that kid.

  • @avail18 Where are your facts to support your argument? Where are your statistics to support the idea that kids are lacking nutrition without peanuts? Your logic is completely rediculous and circular, i start to wonder why i'm wasting my time with you. You continue attempt to pretend that this entire thing is made up! Private school or homeschooling? These families have a right to free public education while parents might not have the time or resources for either choice

  • @avail18 Plus, anyone with a brain wouldn't chalk this up as suffering. What type of spoiled rotten mind set brings up this idea of letting a kid being at risk to remove this very minor inconvenience?

  • @reptile1104 A minor inconvenience, would be making one or two people change... Its a huge inconvenience to make a entire school change for 1 goddamn kid!!! Its a huge inconvenience to make the majority of parents change what they pack for their childs lunch!!! Not only are peanuts and peanut butter extremely healthy that are something most children love eating! Again you have zero facts, you are just a typical selfish "peanut allergy" hysteric that wants everyone to change their lives for you!

  • @avail18 You seem to have a very skewed sense of "suffering." Please stop feeding me the bullshit term "Peanut allergy hysteric" it sounds both ridiculous and makes you look like a tool seeing as you're deriving it from the title of the video. "Suffering" as you regarded towards those who don't get to eat this "precious snack" actually means to be in agony or in a state of acute pain. Someone in anaphylactic shock would someone who would actually be suffering

  • @avail18 This isn't at all about me seeing as I'm a big boy and can handle myself. -_- I'm mostly referring to the little kids in elementary who don't know better with their lives at risk. And no mother should have to pay money for a private school, a tutor, or homeschooling when they're a tax paying American just like everyone else, their child DOES deserve the right to a free public education.

  • @avail18 It's not at all selfish for a kid who needs protection, when it's an inconvenient to the rest of the kid. They obviously do not need this one food at school, I find it once again disgusting to call me selfish when I'm simply considering the life of a child over the want to eat peanuts at school.

  • @reptile1104 You are everything that is wrong with society! One child should NEVER change a entire schools policy on anything...If that child needs special care, that child should be home schooled or attend a private school that can/will cater to his or her needs! Peanuts and peanut butter are extremely nutritious, and is a great source of protein. Its is selfish of this childs parents to even attempt to make the schoold change for their child, while causing a huge inconvenience to others

  • @avail18 of course i'm not everything wrong with society. You don't know me, i contribute to charities with my own birthday money and do plenty to help others. YOU are everything wrong with the world. It's selfish wanting to risk some child's life just to eat a certain food, period. EXTREMELY nutritious? Obviously people with the allergies get along fine without it, And hell no they shouldn't have to pay for extra education when the parents are tax paying citizen. this argument is over.

  • @avail18 you come up with nothing new to say and then accuse me of everything being wrong with the world, how pathetic.

  • @reptile1104 Thats all you got....??? You are worthless, you couldnt even make a decent argument for your selfish beliefs! Clearly you dont know anything about "food allergies" and just cater to the hyterics in our society

  • Peanut allergies are a complete overraction of the "hey look at me, I'll do anything for attention" parents! If you have an allergy deal with it, its part of life...dont make everyone around you suffer becuase of your "illness". People with peanut allergies can develope a tolerance over time just like any other allergy!!! But most wont even consider that because they love the attention and enjoy every minute of their childs "illness"

  • These figures came from randomized double blind studies, not the media you IDIOT!

You obviously have no idea what science is about. So should we ban childeren riding in cars because almost 8000 kids a year die in car accidents? And this girl who is allergic to 95% of foods should not expect the rest of the world to change just for her. She needs to be home schooled.

The researcher is right...we are over reacting to this and limiting exposure is making things worse.

  • @mrgreenhouseman that's completely different. This is preventable. People have to drive. YOU do not have to eat your precious peanut butter around kids who could die from this, you'd want the same treatment if you were in this situation.

  • Less than 1%? Probably not true, even it is,thats still loads of people considering the U.S. population.I hate it when so-called news programmes try to twist things by quoting percentages so numbers sound tiny when really they're massive. And the ban is because MANY OF THOSE WHO ARE ALLERGIC CAN DIE FROM EATING PEANUTS (even SMELLING in many cases - a peanut-free table is no help). Its not an overreaction to try to prevent child deaths. And "suggestive evidence" is suggestion, not evidence. Idiot
