  • Just get a dayan guhong cube, it doesn't need lubrication

  • I can think of better things to do with lubricant and a paper towel.

  • he's a psychic, he knows i'm in a small room =)

  • can i instantly lube with jig a loo

  • @larisakampe yes. jig a loo is also pretty good

  • I Used Vasiline and moves faster then that

  • i got some japanese silicone spray, and it smells like shit, does CRC or jigaloo smell like that too?

  • @MINIMI95020 all silicone spray smells buy lubix it doesnt smell 100% silicone high vilosity and safe

  • You are exactly right but that not what this guy is saying in the video. He doesn't tell people to take the cube apart and let it dry. Much to my point, what he's telling people is going to ruin their cubes.

  • Holy crap, Who told you to do this. This wil melt the plastic on most cubes. A few years ago I used the exact same stuff on a few cubes and it kills the plastic and almost glues them together. DON'T LISTEN TO THIS!!!

  • @strueblood lol what you did was dumb hhahaha you have to reassamble the cube fully and spray all pieces separatly and wait for them to dry out

  • What do I do if I sprayed it with wd40?

  • I used Vaseline on my cube and it works great

  • If anyone actually uses ketchup to lube yor cube. kill yourself lol

  • You can use Petroleum jelly, it works just fine. o_O So I don't see why you said not to use it.

  • @shadows124 i know that petroleum jelly make your cube much faster. but, it will melt the plastic. use silicone that wrote lubricant(any type will do). it actually works better than petroleum jelly

  • @shinkid95

Lol, you commented 3 months too late xD

  • I wonder what else you can lube!!!

  • what i did originally instead of lubing the cube i sanded all the black faces of every single cube(nerdy huh ;P). which was really time consuming but it turns just as fast as the lubed cube in the vid. now if i lubed it i think my cube would spin like crazy.

  • @blindassassin111 lube it and see what happens :D

  • @N0namic will do just have to find time to go and buy it.

  • @Music4u2listen2 does that work?

  • @MrArhm no any oil based product eats plastic

  • i once used wd40, one week later, one of the center pieces broke, when i looked at it, i saw that it had melted(or ate away at) the plastic

  • shit. I already lubed mine with petroleum jelly :P

  • @Jijo233 Clean it out as fast as possible. If it hasn't been in there for longer than a month you're fine.

  • lolz who uses ketchup to lube a cube?

  • you can just spray a ton, or a good amount right in the middle like ON the white thing, remember it is a liquid gravity will pulll it down and through the cracks anyway

  • I like how you knew I was in a small room :}}

  • Really? Because my cube is suuuuper fast with ketchup in it!

  • Cube=Penis, right?

  • aw whats wrong with vaseline?

  • sorry but silocone succkksss, tried it on my brothers and it was leaking and smelled bad and stuff lol, vaseline is the way to go

  • @JaredCline310 you moron you most probaby use silicone used on most cars and that contains potrolium distalence the same shit used in prottalium jelly AKA Vaseline, that is whay you fucked up

  • Silicone is good but Vaseline is perfect too. It doesn't dissolve plastic. The black stuff is just dirt and dust. Vaseline is good. I used Vaseline for mine and now mine moves like a dream. Wd40 is BAD. Vaseline is excellent.

  • I put vaseline on my cube like 2 or 3 months ago and its still really smooth.

  • im not in a small room in in my loungeroom because im on a laptop!!!

  • I did it with eatable oil and it works perfectly well...

  • that can sounded pretty empty, i wonder what he uses all that lube for... nah im just joking, just joking :P nice vid

  • @MrChickenFajita your such a fag

  • dont*

  • I dint know what your problem with Vaseline is, I used it on my cube months ago, works fine, a lot faster and no 'plastic eating' to be heard of

  • depends on your vasaline or cube :)

  • shoot

    i allready used vasoline

  • you can clean him just do it asap go to memyselfandpi's channel

  • 4:37 - 4:43

    sounds badass.

    thanks for the tutorial.

  • Just wondering, but will Pam the cooking spray work?

  • haha funny tut!

  • so.. what does this accomplish?

  • Making your cube faster and smoother

  • hahaha ok, thx for getting back to me so soon!!

  • Funny Tutorial, really helped me, thank you :)

  • lol ketchup, glue

  • What other brands can I use with a cube? I only have WD 40 and some crappy lube produced by Ace Hardware.

  • Jig-A-Loo or CRC Heavy Duty or Food Grade Silicone Spray

  • Comment removed

  • nozzle.

  • Good tut. Beginning was pretty funny too. :)

  • thanks 4 the advice too it rele worked

  • thanks but i was joking i was rele bored but would it work???

  • can i use ky jelly?

  • can u use sex lube thts all i got

  • hahaha LOOL.....you can try XD

  • does it have to be heavy duty silicone? cuz i hav no silicone and i don't think my dad/mom would let me by silicone for a cube. What other things can u use?

  • @weeface122 do not use vasiline

  • @weeface122 You could use petroleum jelly/vaseline, but this makes it VERY messy.

  • @weeface122 i used petrolium for my cube (to be precise the type you get for your lips :P) and my cube goes like a dream, never had issues of stiffness

  • @N0namic

It isn't really a good idea to use petroleum jelly will eventually eat the plastic, and it will make it weak.

  • @TheDancingNotes for the casual solver like myself im sure its fine, i believe you what you say but ive had my cube lubbed up for about 18months with petroleum and it still feels fantastic so im asumming its a very slow and unnoticble effect that will happen over a long period of time, of which when the cube finally does become notciably weak youl probably have gotten a new cube by then anyway. or i could be completely wrong and my cube rotes away very very soon :D

  • Comment removed

  • @weeface122 use vegetable oil or canola oil.

  • hahaha ketchup and glue stick

  • Add Elmer's 'Slide-All' to the don't use list. It just melted the hell out of my cube. I guess I should have known better than to use an Elmer's product as a lubricant.

  • Vaseline isnt that bad, I use it on my 3x3, but Im gonna use Silicone Spray for my 4x4 and 5x5 .... i keep hearing its alot better

  • at first it isnt cuz i used it before and after so long its going to turn really slowly like really bad i know cuz i didnt know about using silicone and yea thats what ended up happening

  • ive had a cube that i lubed with petrolliam jelly about 6 or 7 years and it hasnt eaten my plastic yet

  • same with me

  • if you open the cube and you like touch it you will notice some like black jelly stuff it does eat away i only had mine for 6 months and turns horribly now but i now use a diy cube and i use silicone and even the turning feels better

  • a couple seconds of difference iss a big!!! big difference!!

  • Comment removed

  • why not ?

  • what about key lock graphite?

  • I thought it was obvious that NO one would ever lube their cube with ketchup and glue, but I found someone who was stupid enough to do it -.-'

  • Omg, why is there ketchup and a gluestick at 0:25. Itsn't it obvious that you don't lube with glue -.-'

  • its a frickin joke

  • i use vaseline and it is great with the cube... why wouldnt someone use it?

  • vasaline destroys it on the inside slowly

  • ive been using my vaseline for the past 6 months almost and my cubes are fine

  • i do hope you read that i said slowly? once you try and clean it out black crap comes off. mine still does it. even though ive cleand it like 6 times already

  • The black stuff is both from the production, and dirt that gets into your cube. You know that you "produce" dust, and the dust gets into your cube, reacting with the vasenline, making it black...

  • vasiline works the best it never eats your plastic silicoe makes it all sticy and it smells really bad go petrolium jelly

  • couldn't agree with you more

  • i used gatsby (styling wax). :D it much better than this thing.. and it smells good too..

  • poor!..

    shampoo only hahaha lol

  • Why use Sillicone to lube your cube?

I use soap and ink... That way it smells good, and it's easy to commit suicide!

  • because it doesnt eat away at your cube

  • i use poop.

  • lol funy

  • Sillicone smells like SHIT and it made my cube sticky.....ugh it sucks!

  • Yeah you got to play with it for a while.

  • I used petrolium jelly after i used wd40, first i used wd40 and i hate it!!!! its so hard to turn, after 1 day i decided that i will used petrolium jelly, i clean my rubik's before putting some of petrolium jelly and now it works fine, i do dis proces for 1 year and my cube works fine.... just put some petrolium jelly in the core of your cube.... it will works fine..... XD but now i am using a lubricant, its pretty much easier to used... hehe XD

  • i used oil and washed it wit dish soap later

  • rofl i like how u show glue n ketchup for things not to lube it with :D

  • i use grease

  • can you get heavy duty silicon in england?

  • well i put Vaseline in my cube for like 3 months now. and everything works fine. it was an ok video

  • vaseline rots ur cube... well it softens the plastic thus making a resedue and making ur cube spin faster, but it also damages it at the same time.

  • dude, DO NOT USE VASELINE!! My cube fell apart after three days after lubing.

  • maybe you used too much

  • i used petroleum jelly and it works fine, just don't over lubricate, because your cube will be slippery for the next 3 months, even with vigorous use

  • fake pattern

  • petrolium jelly peels of the stickers and like after a year your cube will pratically fall apart...trust me i learned the hard way

  • i used petroluem jelly

  • i used canola oil

  • hmmmm

i used vaseline to lube mine. i have had it for over a year and its fine...still moves fast....maybe its the type of vaseline or cube you buy...i guess

  • what about using face cream or hair cream?

  • i used petrolium jelly...it works amazingly...i dont get y u say its bad

  • me to I used it it was great yet It made my cube's plastic like take off or something

  • man bieleve me your cube will be damaged form the vaseline cuz it had a material that make ur cube move like shit !!! in the end of 1 month goodluck!

  • someone tell me whereto get silicone spray

  • hardware store or car store in chemical section im not sure

  • I used mr mckenic silicon spray...how come it doesnt dry? ????

  • also, a great lubricant to use is vegetable oil. it won't eat away at your cube, and you probably already have it :D ... but, prepare to get your hands oily for about 3-5 solves or so .. so i suggest just wiping it down with a paper cloth often to remove the excess

  • "You don't have to feel like a big nerd cause you took 30 minutes lubing..lubing your cube."

    Lawl.

  • does regular lubricant work as well

  • dude vaseline is da best silicone is a pile of shit look at you cube

  • did u even use silicone? no? then stfu bcuz u dont know how good silicone is and how crappy vaseline is

  • im mad how both of you can fight over sum dumb shit like dat.

  • It really isn't dumb.

  • i dont have any of that. i when throw a lot of rubix cubes. but i found something that works. a little bit of candle wax and grounded up pencil lead.

  • how did u find out that worked

  • you're right dude... I used petroleum jelly and it like east my cube or something.

  • XD

    Love the subtle humor.

  • i like this video and the other rubik's cube one you made thanks it helped alot

  • i used vaseline or petroleum Jelly it worked fine after a while you want to clean it all out and put some more it works great i have had my cube for 2 years

  • maybe i should have watched this video before......

  • nice vid, it work perfectly

  • so your saying that i used wd-40 my cube is done?

  • nice video. wonder why noone commented yet
