@yugiohfrancis to record, u gotta use some kind of program specifically for this, like cubase or audacity. the .dll file is installed automatically when u are at the installation, if u check the option "vst plugin"

Tried this. No option of guitar rig in effects. The best I can get is a clean guitar signal with an unacceptabley long delay on it.Guitar rig 4 works fiine in stand alone mode but I do not know how to switch it to plug in mode. I am spending too much time getting no where. Any body got any ideas before I put it on ebay.

When I'm done recording with guitar rig through cubase, I can't change the volume of the track anymore by dragging the blue point. If I'm doing that, nothing changes.

I use Sonar Producer 8 and when I try to use Guitar Rig 3 first of lag times are nuts but thats fixable, but I begin recording and all I hear is clean guitar until after I've finished recording then when I play it back its got the distortion I want. How do I get the effects while I play and record?

@careluisillo yeah i figured it out when i found out what VST was shortly after making that comment :) using cake walks music creator 5 though cause I cant afford cubase :( but it works along similar lines its just missing some of the more advanced features i think.

guitar rig sucks!!! i've run into so many problems with this software..it takes FOREVER to install, it's very complicated to record songs, the interface refuses to work with my guitar and insist on using it's mic which sux, i have no idea wat i'm doing wrong?? can someone please make a video on how to intall instruments into the interface so that it only records that instrument n not all the extra sound??

Yes. But you should use another plugin like addictive drums to get a good sound, and you dont have to assign your drums.

i know for sure that the people at steinberg, that make cubase were working on compatibility with windows 7, that was a few months ago, i'd suggest checking out steinberg's site

I have windows 7 and I have both guitar rig and cubase. They both work with windows 7 but guitar rig has a glitch that makes it impossible to record sound and hard to get the vst to work in cubase. So what took only few minutes to record a "song" in this video has taken me hours to find a way to get any sound at all.

I did finally get it to work seems pretty cool but still cant beat the real Marshall Amp set up I have. The issue as I figured out was the Driver for Vista called Asio.

After that it was a breeze. If you are running Vista be sure to go right to the service center software after install and down load the updates that are for Vista before you do anything. Good Luck

i thought this guitar rig session package was awesome until i realized the problems it has. i have the plugings for guitar rig and kore in cubase, but yet when i use guitar rig in cubase, it won't recognize my guitar and will record my voice through my computers built in mic....and when i choose a kore drum track and hit play, it doesn't play

You need a DAW. Cubase LE is shown in the video from the outset. Have you even watched the video?

problem solved for me...

open cubase, klick devices-> plugin-information

then u go to VST-plugins and klick the button VST 2.x plugin or something like that, insert a new path: C\programmes\native instruments\guitar rig 3\VST-plugins or where ever you stuck the programm. done.

i have a little problem using cubase LE. When i add an instrument track and click on the small small window that pops up, it does not give me the option to choose kore player which i have installed in my computer. Also when i click on the insert section on the left of the sequencer section, it does not let me choose the guitar rig plug in which i also have installed on my computer. This problem is very frustrating and need help. I would appreciate if some can help me out on this. Thanx
