  • Maan this is the music my mom liked 80's rockabilly

  • Oh man what a great song

  • goddamn commercials!!!!

  • YEAH NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!!! BETTER THAN HIP HOP YEEEEEEEEEEAA!!!!!

  • @uberdude 12 Yeah, same tune as "6 days on the road," Dave Dudley (1963).

  • drummer's beast!!!

  • brian setzer is under appreciated, the layman will soon learn his value

  • Can't believe it, but i feel like dancing right now lol!!

  • @ljab With music like this back in the day, everyone did... It's music like this that makes me wish I was born in the 60's.

  • this song is one of the greatest classics of all time. and just so you know, its not my opinion, its a fact

  • this band songs are similiar to Reverend Horton Heat

  • @111MadMan111 i hope tiger army is included in etc.

  • he looks like happy gilmore's caddy in this video

  • stray cats rock this town

  • I'm now 17, and I love all rockabilly and psychobilly, but in the UK there aren't many other fans my age.. but I still go to a lot of the events etc.. Fav band is Nekromantix. And don't say that they're not psychobilly like purist types do. Because they are psychobilly, just better quality recordings and equipment lol.

  • Disco guy with porn stasche get pwned!

  • weird al @ 1:42.....WIN

  • Don't just like - LOVE. <3 :D

  • Song of my childhood. Total Nostalgia : )

  • i love this type of music. im 15 and i grew up listening to this music. some of you might be like, if your only 15, then how did you grow up listening to this, you're too young. my reason is that my dad knew what real music was so he played this stuff all the time. thank you dad.

  • @critic560

    dude im 15 too

    and i love this music.

along with some chuck berry haha

  • @sk8er4590 ...Or Little Richard, ... or Jerry Lee Lewis, huh? Good taste.

  • @critic560 I agree in that so much, when i was like 3-10 my mom used to take me out on the nights and we drove araound in a caddilac 69, man the old times...

Now a few years later om back to this music and god i love it! We went on big car meets and stuff. Thank you mom

  • @critic560 Nobody was thinking that. Do you know how many comments there are on old music videos which say something along the lines of "I'm only 15, but I LOVE this"? Pretty much every second or third comment. The reason is that most music today absolutely sucks, and most young people are starting to figure that out.

  • @Wardenclyffeforever im not starting to figure it out. ive known good music all my life.

  • @critic560 fine, but as I said, no-one is surprised or even really interested

  • @Wardenclyffeforever actually, today's music doesn't suck. today's mainstream music sucks. there IS such a thing as subculture.....

  • @Wardenclyffeforever he also, if no one is thinking about what i said, then how come soooooooooooooooooooooo many people are sayign the same stuff. huh? ur last comment made no sense what so ever

  • @critic560 Okay, try to follow: there are a lot of 15 year olds who post comments on videos like this, saying "I'm only 15, but I love this". As you said, "sooooooooooooooooo many people are saying the same stuff". Hence your comment is not really surprising or interesting. That is exactly what I said. Get it now? Or should I explain it again? I didn't think it was very complicated.

  • @critic560 I thank my mom for this. Our parents rock, yaay :P

  • justin beiber made 6 youtube accounts to dislike this song and video. his reason. he doesnt like music that is better than his.

  • @critic560 anything is better than justin beiber even my cat mew is better

  • @AbuAvital lol. same thing with my cat.

  • @critic560 So you mean, that he doesn't like music in general?

  • @asson432 wtf? whatever the fuc ur talkign about, if its somethign bad about my dad, cat, or the Stray Cats, prepare for an ass kicking

  • @critic560 ok ill say somethin bad your a talkin pile of pig dung you might have grwn up to this but they were not the best band in town at the time brian faded out after the 80s had has lil cameo with lou diamond phillips in la bamba then had his little stint in the 90s with his new band but he crashed compleatly im sorry but they wrote some good tune and all then but now i thin they suck so lets see you come kick my ass little boy

  • 6 people were in the wrong town.

  • whoooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • lol im a teenager who is not into the rap crap great song i have guitar hero to thank for leading me into such great music

  • This brings back alot of good memories from the best times in the world,, the 80's!

This is REAL ROCK AND ROLL people!

Wish we had this kind of music around today!!

LOVE THIS,, WHOOOOOOOO, I could just see Elvis getting into this if he had been alive!

  • love rockabilly

  • Awesome tune. Never appriciated Brian Setzer till later in my adult life.

  • Sorry I'm a punk, grew up with the The Clash and the Stranglers but shite I love the Stray Cats..rock n roll- purest form..all fits from where I come from

  • ugh hes so sexy...makes me wana go to the uk just to get down with a raunchy london boy ;P

  • @JennelleBelle He's from New York, but I agree. He is...I'm not going there. I know there are children on here sometimes. ;)

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • i heard there was a murder at the bowling ally, right after the video crew left after they finished filming.

  • @LeastLikedCritic75

    That's pretty chill.

  • 16 and i love them XD

  • i'm 12 and even i love this song i hate the crap like hip hop that's considered "music" nowadays i missed music like this =(

  • @LegendarySolidsnake1 how do you miss it if you never experienced it?

  • @LegendarySolidsnake1 Good old hip hop is actually as good as this to me,it's just that nowadays it's bad,but a genre can't be crap in itself,it's just that some in it are bad

  • Stray Cats ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The only way I could distinguish this from an actual 50's song is the fact that they say "Disco"... tat and the (C) 2006. :P

  • that bowling alley was on University Place in Greenwich Village, NYC. the lady bartender they show in this video was the bartender there at the time. she's not an actress, i knew personally. i wonder if that place is still there?

  • I envy people who grew up in a time of decent music like this, something you can actually dance to. Not like most of the crap shoved down the throats of kids/teens nowadays...

  • goddamn, so attractive in evaary aspect

  • That looks like Weird Al at 2:40

  • Great Video!!! Almost 300,000 viewers, and 6 turd-heads have seen this!!!!

  • I love how the drummer and bassist just flat out abuse their instruments.

  • isn't that man in glasses al yankovich?

  • @mravozmar Lol no

  • my classic view of this song is from Private School. I love how this song was used in the introduction to private school.

Stray Cats had some great songs and i would ranked this one of their better songs. It was great being a teenager in the 1980s.

  • I only just noticed how skinny Setzer is in this vid

  • this was kinda like retro 50s rock

  • Everytime I hear this song, I wonder what Buddy Holly would think. I think he'd love it. I know I sure do.

  • TRUE PUNK.

  • @Pouchy17 It's not really punk. Sex Pistols are punk. This is just kinda swing/rock.

  • @darkmachete

    Its Rockabilly/RocknRoll

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 Actually check your history.

This is wear "Punk" started. They were the rebellious outcasts of that era. Bands like Sex Pistols, and Misfits, and all of the above originated from these guys.

Sources- I study this. Thanks ;)

  • @Pouchy17 How did Punk start from the SC? They weren't punk and the bands u talk about were going well before the SC released a song

  • @SDADSDSFDSGDA i said those bands were MOTIVATED by bands like the stray cats. You misread what i said by a long shot.

  • @Pouchy17 well you could say very broadly that modern alternative music was influenced by the original black blues artists which was then taken up by the rockabilly style music but then you also have to look at artists like woody Guthrie who sang hillbilly protest music which went on to influence people like the clash and bob Dylan.

  • @SDADSDSFDSGDA Na u said as above that 'this is where punk started'.

  • @Pouchy17

    Haha LOL Punk.

This is Rockabilly like in the 50s.

  • One from my wedding! Cheerz Kim!!

  • He DOES look a wee bit like Eddie Cochrane : D

  • @Noodles37UK Brian Setzer actually played Eddie Cochrane in La Bamba back in the 80s...cool bit of trivia, eh? Cheers!

  • They rock!

  • @Allykins4801 we have THE KING to thank for all of this

  • Soooo...the square cat/Weird Al lookalike gets, what, cunnilingussed to death? Doesn't sound that bad to me.

  • @noneskull You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

  • @NJburbsSeeker dude..there are thousands man..check the underground

  • @NJburbsSeeker there is a ton of rockabilly bands all over the world, they just don't get played on the radio. dave and deke combo, the chop tops, big sandy and his fly rite boys, omar and the stringpoppers... are among some of the more well known groups in the scene today.

  • @rockabillycat1954 METEORS!

  • FANTASTIC SONG

    TRUE ROCK ' N ' ROLL OF 80'S

  • It's amazing what you can hand Brian and he'll do something amazing

  • Man, I first heard these guys while going through some of my parents old cassettes, I proceeded to listen to that tape till it literally broke a few weeks later and download all of it on to my mp3. Great band that should be a bit more well know in my book, epically with Rock This Town, which is one of those old songs everyone knows.

  • I play the bass on a Rock And Roll Band.

One day I tried to play on the double bass just like Lee Rocker Does, but I broke it and I fell out from stage. Everybody's laughted at me. I was ashamed at the time, but now it seems so funny.

  • @22LuisEHR ahw man double bass is amazing, hope you had a good time before it broke!

  • @pieerrrree Yeah, I really had good times with my old double bass, I'll buy a new one on december.

  • goddamn i love rockabilly XD

  • @1959VONCILE an idiot

  • yeah !!!

  • i love this song! Stray Cat Strut is great too:)

  • this is what american rock n roll was, and probably should have remained. you can listen to this any number of times after any number of years, and it will still make you smile. and really, if music can't make you feel good, even for 3minutes, what use is it?

  • @colorformswerefun very well said

  • @colorformswerefun Define classic as a genre and then we will see, as what you propose is creatively stifling for an artist.. any artist..

  • @colorformswerefun Music nowadays just makes me depressed.

  • Man I'm 17 but this song just fucking rocks. Why did everybody change to stupid r&b and hip hop and justin bieber like serious this shit is just top notch

  • @xo1tom1ox some r&b is good.

  • one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time.

  • WOW. I started liking the Stray Cats since when I ws 7. Ever since i've always loved them. True rockabilly classic.

  • how old is this music??

  • @jyr95 The style of music goes way back but this song is about 30 years old. Brian Setzer's take on the classic song Summertime Blues is also killer.

  • @PoeticSoul2008 cooliouz

  • Bebop Hellcat records!!

  • Stray cats Rulez!!

    Awesome song and Vid!!

  • God, I just love this song!!! It came on the radio in the car, today, and boy did I blast it!!! Makes you want to dance and rock this town. Love Stray Cats.

    the best rockabilly band ever!!!

  • Lovelovelove this song.

  • The lead guitar player, Brian Setzer, has formed a big band with horns. They are called the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Search for them on Youtube. I think you may be pleasantly surprised.

  • ya my middle school jazz band is learning it

  • BEST <3 !!!

  • Comment removed

  • this is true rock........what happend with in the last 30 years

  • amazingXD

  • There was so many new groups out in 1982 and 1983 with good sounds. Best of times.

  • This song is on Guitar Hero 2..but since they're queeros they redid every song on the playlist.

  • Well, at the time (before GH was a sensation), they couldn't get the master tracks for this song. So they really had no choice but to cover it.

  • that chart is also a total bastard and makes no sense

  • Cool Song! Rock this town.....
