Aion CHN - Lava cave of Taran (outdoor dungeon)

Are any of the dungeon bosses in the game more than tank-and-spank? I keep hearing that the bosses are all like that.

Hi, im planning to buy this game WoW really sucks these days. But my big question, from what i've read so far on the comments is that in order to play Aion you've got to pay via you're bank, or are there (just with wow) pre-paid cards wich you can also buy?

It's the standard UI, still waiting in queue to get into the game so cant check the exact name for it in the Options menu but it's in there to put them at the top.

It depends what dungeons / instances. These were pretty much tank and spank except a few bosses but other high level bosses require more :)

they will update / use the client for the open beta (1.5) torrent and filefront links are already out (do some googling). that client will be used when early access start :)

Your tank has some serious L2P issues. Honestly, made me cry how crap he/she is.

He never lost aggro on the mobs he was attacking, as a gladiator he has nothing to gain threat other than a taunt. Besides, huge amount of lag doesn't help much. And on top of that the other gladiator in our group never helped out with tanking. PUGs :P

Tanking is not about not losing aggro on the mob you are attacking. Tanking is keeping your healers alive by holding all possible threat you can away from them, and taking attention to your surroundings, not tube-visioning the single mob in front of you. If you cant tank multiple mobs, dont tell the party you can, misdirecting is more than annoying.

If i would play a glad, i would gladly help in tank and spank fights, but would pass multi-mob fight to the "tank class/es", and wouldnt play "hero". Anyway, the point of the video was to introduce the place, and you did it nicely, doesnt change the fact, the tank made me cry/laugh. Im not sure he even realized your "aggro" spamming :D Nice vid, nice music, nice editing, maybe next time you'll have beter grp for your video. :D

Haha yeah, I do agree with you. But I know the person who was tanking and no one took on the roll of tanking, which was fine with me as long as I don't have to tank 2 adds lol. My heal does around 650~ whereas our HP are 2.5-3k. Group did an awful decision at the end, ignoring the adds and dpsing the boss which led to my death.

Ive grinded that area at lvl 22 with some guys who spoke broken english. Killed the boss that pats the lil round-a-bout lava area . Falling off into the lava tho onto the rocks brings big LOL's especially when things go bad and the tank dies.

Haha yeah, theres a quest (the one cutscenes show) to throw a necklace into the lava. For some stupid reason I figured we were meant to jump down to finish the quest, which worked of course. But when the cutscene showed my character being where we originally stood it made me go "lol sigh". Was pretty annoying having to run the whole way again, especially when phobed (tank) fell down accidentally when we got there again :P

persepha I have a question for you.How would you describe leveling in aion?Is it like Lineage 2(almost impossible to reach max level) or like WoW (fully possible to reach max level) ?

It's a mix. You will definitely reach max level if you give it time. With time I don't mean L2 but I definitely don't mean World of Warcraft either. If you're looking for a middle thing Aion's the one :)
