  • FUCK AMERİCA ............TÜRKİYE OTTOMANS EMPİRE

  • indeed beautiful

  • the damn ground would shake when a shell hit from ole mo

  • It's kind of funny that the only ones that can't see those guns going off are the ones firing them.

  • I was on The Missouri in Hawaii. Those Iowa class ships are awesome.

  • I would make damn sure my ship was going a little faster than the Missouri if it were firing toward my side.

  • Anyone notice how the bow wave indicates the ship is being forced sideways with each salvo?

  • why has nobody said anything about the whatever it is streaking by on the 6 to 7 second mark

  • Point these babies at the pirates, and turn on the loudspeakers:

We heard you like guns, come back again when you have stuff like ours.

  • This is one very "plain" video. =p

  • I WISH I WERE THERE

  • that is not a battleship folks!!!

  • @focusbackwardsmsk What do you mean? That's the U.S.S. Missouri, the "Mighty Mo". She served in WWII, Korea, and Operation Desert Storm. She's the ship the peace treaty ending WWII was signed on. I honestly can't think of a better example of a Dreadnought Battleship!

  • @Fatstratmatt96 I side with US don't mistake me. But the Yamato in it's prime before she was sunk was a fierce battleship

  • @drei214 Yeah, Yamato kicked ass!

  • @focusbackwardsmsk It's not a battleship? What would you call it?

  • @focusbackwardsmsk Ceci ne pas une pipe? I mean, everybody here knows it is a battleship, the video shows one but according to you it is not. Well unless you are an avant-garde artiste who should share his surreal interpretation of this battleship we will consider it just that, a good ol' fashioned battleship. Best regards sir!

  • Phalanx System works well with pirates.....shred-em-up from 1/4 mile or better....Also works well in taking down aircraft....Under Siege original movie....Too bad they were ours.....

  • We should use the Missouri against Pirates.

  • gffghbhfds

  • Put one of these off the coast of Somalia. All the Somalian pirate problems are solved.

  • @toadtanker actually not that easy. This ship is design for offensive and naval bombarment not with dealing with guerrilla warfare. So this ins't suitable.

  • I was in the Texas, dead astern the Princeton and the first ship astern the Missouri in the "banana" formation when she fired the last-ever full broadside from a battleship.

  • what if they made super abrams tanks that fired 16 guns? that's be sick! but it would make it a HUGE target.

  • as badass as battleships are they are essentially useless today. i ticonderoga can wipe out out 5 or more of these battleships from a great distance with missles. now if battleships replaced their 16 inch guns with railguns, that's be great. but that won't happen. might as well get a new ship all together.

  • isn't the Missouri getting a bit close to the ship with the camera dude on it? Just asking

  • Bring back the Iowa Class Battleship !!! Who cares if they're outdated. The signify might and power and NO aircraft carrier has the mystique of these giant battle-wagons !!! God, they were AWESOME!!!

  • @ProudConfederateSon The battleship for ALL countries was the most costly and inefficient tool of war EVER. They virtually bankrupted countries building them and in the two world wars really only ever had small battles that had no effect on the outcome of the wars. I just visited the Big Moo in Hawaii and I must grant you that even in this day its an impressive sight but they were virtually useless. Imagine if the Japanese sank all the Pacific aircraft carriers instead of the battleships !!!

  • @ProudConfederateSon you have no idea what it means to fight a war do you. why would you bring back something that's outdated? if we use battleships today, they'd all get wipped out by missles. shells don't reach as far as missiles, and using battleships today is a waste of money. you can use smaller ships that can produce up to 10x more destruction with missles than battleships can do with shells. battleships are the most badass ship out there, so why would you want them to be destroyed?

  • @brandeezy108 you dont have a clue do you? how the hell can that fragile light missle penetrate a battleships armor? it would strike the ship and fail to do anything to it. missles are not ment for penetrating armor. sure there are some armor pearcing and bunker busters but can they go through 17+inches of solid steel? allso a huge ship like the iowas have ALOT of space for things like missles and AA defenses(what they where made for actualy in WW2) allso canon shells are cheaper for shore ops

  • @brandeezy108 It's for the nostalgia my friend, pure nostalgia.

  • who ruled the sea this ship did

  • Tojo still shits his pants when they fire those guns, even though he's dead.

  • this ship was built during ww2 and still used today

  • @SDloco100 The uss missouri is not in active duty its docked in pearl harbor

  • @jengolance it is still part of navy they still have not retired it. If they wanted they could still use it

  • @SDloco100 Dude they USS missouri is a floating museam on board the USS Missouri there are activites kids can due and there are gift shops on board and they give tours the USS Missouri is a retired Iowa class battleship.

  • A beautiful monster

  • Made in the USA.

  • Heres a curious question - These ships were buit with strong armour to withstand impact. I would like to know if hypothetically a modern Harpoon or Exocent (both subsonic) missile would even penetrate the armoured belt of these ships. We all know these missiles are sea skimming and they are certainly not an armoured piercing projectile. Am I right to assume that such a slow moving missile would just smash to a million pieces on impact with the ships armoured belt?

  • @Sutho81 Considering that these ships were meant to take 2,000+lb. shells travelling at over 1,800fps, I wouldn't be suprised if all an Exocet did was leave a small dent and singe off the paint.

  • The United States Navy:

Blowing shit up with cannons since 1775!

  • Does any1 know if them guns are firing 155mm rounds and are they shooting air burst rounds ?

  • @mcwhizzkid123 dont know about the airbust but theyre 410mm rounds

  • dear santa?

  • @MrSnowmanPro that joke sucks

  • @brandeezy108 lol thats why i put '?'

  • that is one BAD ASS fuckin ship...

  • America is hated with all world and to you to spit for the whole world your policy has sunk a dirt excess and a demon a limit and you speak about democracy? You live wild laws of the Middle Ages ' I can not itself I shall select force ' the God you will punish and the world will damn as the nation

  • @stavr137pdp Please learn to speak English.

  • @SixFootTallMidget What is more important to you sir? The fact that he speaks English in a non fluent manner in addition to his, most likely different, home language or the fact that his comments should be triggering thoughts? This is internet sir... most people speak English but you don't have the right to blame those who are still learning...

    Yours Sincerely,

    A non English guy

    PS. Screw you!

  • @faflatopoulos There you go.

  • @faflatopoulos LOL!!!

  • @stavr137pdp Learn how to speak English asshole.

  • Calling in shells from the USS Missouri is a once in a lifetime chance for a soldier. This was shot during gulf war 1.

  • Its amazing how many retards are impressed by the power of a gun. True, real authentic human beings would be far more impressed by the power to heal human beings and other species. The power of the gun is just one more way mental midgets masturbate themselves and try to make themselves think their bullshit realy means something. Killing is easy, really easy.

  • @heartfire451 You need to go back to school and study about our primitive instincts. When you say true and "real" just goes to show your ignorance about the human race. We are more drawn to violence and sex for survival reasons than to try to save some minnow in some wet lands. By the way killing is not easy, stop playing video games!

  • @heartfire451

Humans have been killing each other for millennia. Only we've exchanged stone spears and thrown rocks for guns and missiles. So come down from your moral high horse.

  • awsome shiplove from england

  • Did anyone else see the orange streak go by at 0:05? Was that like a tracer round from another, off-camera ship?

  • @MistaSt0kes that was the first thing i seen dont know what it was

  • @MistaSt0kes no you dumm idot it is the 1980s or 1990s crapy film that they had

  • @MistaSt0kes holy shit, now that u mention it i do see it, def looks like a ship shot between these two ships?! crazy... i wonder what it was..

  • @MistaSt0kes Maybe it was a UFO))

  • typical youtube keyboard warriors, thinking they have dicks the size of 16" guns, even though they only have the courage to rage from behind their desks!

  • 巨大戦艦

  • @LogansUniverse actually the germans were the first. they inadvertently created a stealthy aircraft when they were testing out their flying wing designs

  • I don't think that was a full load.

First they wouldn't be firing so close and it would have broke your eardrums to be on that side.

Been there, and that was bull shit.

Maybe firing one bag, instead of 5, just for show.

  • now those are guns! question for anybody in the navy: are you chosen randomly to be aboard a certain ship, or does it depend on what your job is??

  • @TheSerenityhuck only certain jobs are on a cetain ship so people that work on a smaller ship might not go to a big one and vice versa. some jobs are only done on one kind of ship or a class of ships. i am a Machinst Mate that works with steam and AC, so i wont go to a ship that uses a gas turbine engine or diesel engine's. hope this helps. but i know if they brought back battleships i would change my rate in heart beat!!!!

  • @s70driver2005 Thanks. I was just curious b/c im gonna be an Aerographer's mate and for 60% of my service ill be out in the fleet. And I just wanna get an idea of what kind of ship I will be aboard.

  • The Iowa class battleships were NOT a ship to tangle with. Imagine the look on the Somali pirate's faces if they encountered one of these.

  • The Cold War is still raging in the Youtube comments section.

  • Now don't fuck with landlocked states agian. Greetings from Kansas City BTW!

  • I'm glad the debate over US Naval fire support exists, and I tend to side with Congress. I don't think any amount of missiles will be able to provide to constant, reliable, and devastating bombardment that these ships can provide. In the gulf after watching Missouri shell targets a number of Iraqis surrendered to the spotter drone from Wisconsin simply because they knew what was coming.

  • @SMGJohn; Battle of Midway, June 3 to June 5, 1942. Over 160 Imperial Japanese naval units, including 4 fleet carriers, in four fleets moved to attack the Midway Atoll. The U.S. navy opposed with under 30 vessels, including 3 fleet carriers. The Japanese lost all 4 carriers: Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, and Hiryu and withdrew from the battle. The U.S. lost the U.S.S. Yorktown. This is not from a game, it's from history.

  • @jers59 and @SMGJohn; U.S.Navy versus Imperial Japanese Navy in World War II. The U.S. lost a total of six capital ships in the entire war. 4 fleet carriers and 2 battleships. Both battleships were sunk on the first day in Pearl Harbor. The other BB's sunk in Pearl were returned to service. The Japanese lost 21 capital ships. 12 fleet carriers and 9 battleships. Ref: History of United States Naval Operations in WWII by Samuel Elliot Morrison.

  • @jers59 and @SMGJohn; Naval vessels- all types: surface, subs, patrol boats and logistical types. The U.S. Navy has 2384 units. The next 10 navies have 3293 units of which most are not blue seas capable. N.Korea, 708; China, 562; Sweden, 387; France, 289; Turkey, 265; Iran, 261; Russia, 233; Egypt, 221; Mexico, 189; Italy 178. Very few navies in the world have blue sea experience to match the U.S. Great Brittian, France, Japan, Italy, Russia have the most. China and India gain more each year.

  • @jers59 and @SMGJohn; The U.S. has 20 carriers of all types...the rest of the world has 10. Most of our carriers are larger for over 70 acres of deck space compared to all the other navies with total under 15 acres. Deck space equals aircraft carrying capability and gives the U.S. over four times the rest of the world's capabilty. No U.S. Fleet Carrier has been sunk by enemy action since 1943.

  • @CorsetGrace smg is another retard and loser, admits he can never get laid

  • The United States Navy: Blowing shit up with cannons since 1775!

  • totally awesome thanx for posting this video

  • @LogansUniverse Really? Got proof? Because last time I checked the aliens in the sky had stealth technology since 500BC

  • @LogansUniverse Sorry but the world has had stealth ships since the 50s while USA have had 1880s ships with a big engine running on OIL and stone with some ketchup on.

  • USA still has ugly Battleships from World War One will all the other nations on the fucking earth has high tech stealth ships... What a pity America, what a pity

  • @SMGJohn Actually, the only US battleship remaining from WWI is the USS Texas, which was struck from the register in 1948. The USS was commissioned in june 1944, during WWII. Not all of the other nations have stealth ships (which the US also has to a certain extent). The real pity is that this amount of whoopass is no longer in the inventory. Then again, just to hear you call a battleship ugly is indication enough that you are a fucking moron, to say nothing of your lack of historical knowledge.

  • @Sylderon Battleships can be ripped in half by smaller and faster missile armed destroyers, so your statement is wrong. Today anything can destroy anything. Armor doesn't have a fucking crap to say because we use missiles and other heavy armor piercing rounds. Battleships, MBT and all other heavy crap is obsolete. It's all light tanks, destroyers, light jet fighters now days.

  • @SMGJohn You seem to forget about such things as the CIWS, specifically designed to prevent missile impacts. Furthermore, it's rather difficult to pierce armor unless you get a clean hit; battleships pioneered the concept of sloped armor, which is still used today. Yes, heavy crap is all obsolete. That's why we're up-armoring all of our vehicles over in combat zones. The only purpose of a light tank, especially in today's environment, is to keep the corpses of the crew all in one place.

  • @Sylderon You're a guy who rather have MBT and Battleship, and no sloped armor was first developed by the Soviets when they where creating the T-34 trough the A-20 prototypes. But truth is, heavy armor piercing missiles and high tech bullets and laser weapons are the future and everything besides that is obsolete, everything must be as light as it can and be as advanced as it can. Armor doesn't have anything to say except protect you from small arms fire and medium fire

  • @SMGJohn

Sloped armor was first used on the ironclad CSS Virginia during the American Civil War, then was applied to battleships during WWI. History is littered with end-all 'high tech' weapons that didn't amount to anything, because they were either too expensive, too complicated, or didn't hold up to battlefield conditions. A stealth fighter or a light tank doesn't do jack shit against an IED or a bunch of guys with RPG-7s, but a Challenger with Chobham armor can take a hit and keep on rolling

  • @Sylderon First off, stealth fighters can't be hit by IED and secondly if you mean anything with 'sloped' armor then the armored tree buckets used in the 16th century was the first war machines to use sloped armor.

And thirdly, a high tech light armored battle vehicle or medium armored one can take out RPG-7 by using high tech laser weapons, machinegun or something that the Russians developed wich makes missiles miss the target. To take out the RPG rounds so it wont even go near the armor.

  • @SMGJohn

You clearly do not understand what you're talking about. First of all, what is a 'tree bucket'? Secondly, no laser weapon is anywhere close to operational deployment, with the exception of one that is so huge, it must be carried around in a 747. It might be possible to destroy an RPG round with bullets, assuming you could even hit one fired at close range before it hits you, and there is nothing that can make such an unguided rocket miss the target. Please, stop embarrassing yourself.

  • @Sylderon Really? Your the one who is embarrasing yourself with all this ridiculess claims

  • @SMGJohn US navy by itself can take on and destroy the next 20 biggest navies in 1 battle, US Navy has 11 nuclear power super carrier the rest of world has 0, US Navy has 10 large amphibious ships the rest of world just 2 all weaker then US amphib ships, US has more nuclear power subs then rest of world combined US is building the Ford class carrier which will replace the Nimitz class carriers as worlds most powerful surface warships US Ohio class sub by itself is third most powerful country

  • @jers59 You seriously think your ships can take out every ship!? Your very ignorant and childish I have to say.

Kid, listen to me. War might seem cool and awesome on the screen and your army might be powerful and all but no way it might be able to take out the 20 biggest navies in the world combined, there are nuclear submarines, airplanes and rockets to be taken into access. It's all about skills and tactics not weapons and how big they are and how many of them you have

  • @SMGJohn Us Virginia and Ohio class subs are best in world by far no ohio class sub has ever been tracked in 30+ years Burke class destroyer 90 VLMS, UK type 45 only 48 french VLS missiles and cost twice the price of Burke class, Nimitz class carrier the most powerful surface combatant ever. Iowa class BB Naval history greatest

  • @jers59 I don't think you understand what I meant. Your going by propaganda and what is best that you think but let me tell you one thing, the Japanese navy destroyed your puny navy in WWII only way you got victory over them was that you produced more ship and had more ship at the end of the war and was able to destroy them by numbers. Today, most nations abandoned big ships and are instead focusing on stealth and submarine technology which by far out advances American tech

  • @SMGJohn Battle of Midway 4 jap carriers against 2 US carriers and 1 baqdly damage carrier US sinks 4 jap carriers and heavy cruiser US loses 1 carrier and destroyer. Educate yourself before posting idiotic remarks US navy today can take on and defeat the next 20 biggest navies in 1 battle. US subs are most advanced in world

  • @jers59 Did you just take that out from a game or something? Real life is not a game. Get braincells and eyeballs and try look out the window sometimes

  • @SMGJohn fool US kicked the japs navy ass from may 1942 to july 1945 Leyte gulf US sinks 3 jap battleships 4 jap carriers few US destroyer and escorts defeat jap BB Yamato, Kongo, Haruna, Nagato at Samar you idiot, the pussy jap navy battleships and heavy cruiser. US destroyer Melvin sinks jap BB Fuso at Surigao ran from US destroyers in fear after having there asses kicked you jealous twerp. US Destroyer Melvin sinks jap BB Fuso at Surigao october 1944. LOL

  • @jers59 And a Toast sunk America (insert troll face here from seriousness)

  • @jers59 Also Taffy 3, a small carrier group, destroyed the largest ship at the time and her fleet, Yamato....

  • @YourNeedsMakeMeSad

Not really. During the Battle off Samar, Taffy 3 was engaged by a squadron including the Yamato, which sank a carrier by gunfire, before the Japanese were driven off. Yamato was sunk while sailing by herself, under attack by 280 planes. The Japanese also never had the sophisticated radar-directed fire control or proximity fuses used by American and British capital ships, while the American 5 inch guns and 40mm autocannons were far superior to Japanese AA weapons.

  • @SMGJohn You retard, its factual that we have the best navy in the world.

  • @RiflemanExpert Yeah yeah faggot wannabe hero Americans. I am not interrested in hearing your shit. So go suck American balls, while we other people can lick pussy because we're straight and your gay

  • @SMGJohn lol, everywhere i go in my uniform, i get the ladies, and thats why i think your mad because i have been to norway, and had 2 girlfriends, Norwegian pussy its cold and nice, trooolllll

  • @RiflemanExpert And I've been to Mars living there for 600 years as Soviet Command Officer. And I got 1 girlfriend because I'm a smart and a man with balls to not cheat. Unlike you faggot Americans who get's divorce every 2 months

  • @SMGJohn not 2 girlfriends at the same time idiot lol, we do have similar customs when it comes to dating just like everybody else, military personnel get divorced a lot because of the job, and thats the same with every military

  • @RiflemanExpert Well for my part, I am against religion and really hate marriage, only true marriage is Buddhist way, and still your a whore man if you go around get a girlfriend and fuck her and then just dump her. It's a reason why I turned down every woman I see because they are interrested in nothing but rob your money and use you as a toy

  • @SMGJohn sounds like you have worse problems to deal with than sit on a computer and argue about how you dont like women and you might be a fag, im sitting in a recruit barracks for 3 months and more training for 2 months, then more for 1 month, then a 9 month deployment to afghanistan and back at home for a couple more months, and sum weeks on a ship, all without a piece of pussy, yes im gonna get my dick soaked, you should help yourself and stop hating your life and do the same, emo kid lolol

  • @RiflemanExpert Talk about brain damage. You should consider get yourself killed. People like you are the ones that turns to be rape pedobears

  • @SMGJohn lolol noo i have a home and fiance now with a child on the way in 8 months, and ready for one or 2 more deployments, my life is set, and lolol it sounds like you hate on others lives because yours is shit, get your life figured out man, go get some vagina and settle down with it lol do something other than complain

  • @RiflemanExpert Sorry but we Norwegians have different atittude then you Americans

  • @SMGJohn lol i dated a girl in norway when i was there for arctic training, she didnt have that much of a different attitude, she was just as horny

  • @RiflemanExpert I didn't mean the worthless pile of crap running around with a blond hair. I meant Norwegians

  • @SMGJohn lol i have been to bars in norway where they party just as hard as here and screw around in bars just as much as here, you may be talking about your particular city or town

  • @RiflemanExpert Bars? They are underground and not really in the middle of the street. And they are not as noisy as in Fascist America, mostly because they isolate it very good I guess. And Norway should be noted that we have bunch of stupid girls who only cares about their looks and getting their hands on money. Which is a fact and they are really retarded. Most don't even know where the fuck Iceland is on the map

  • @RiflemanExpert Just so you know the c**t you're debating with is some asian guy trolling you, definitely not Norwegian. Just trying to create more hate I guess..

  • @MAHABODHICHITTA it may be but at that time i had time to waste

  • @jers59 the new super carrier will be the new 9-11 target, the bigger the more attention it will attract upon its self, and im talkin about the new george bush super carrier, and other nations have stuff too, they may not be so tuff but because of that they are willing to throw them at us, and ur ohio class sub is a country?

  • Great video,

*** But for the record, there is no lateral movement...even when firing a full, simultaneous broadside, the ship doesn't move an inch. She weighs well over 100 million pounds, for cryin' out loud!

  • my grandad was the captian of a tiny destroyer called the H.M.S jersey. that rocked!

  • Nothing defines the words "Epic Presence" like the old MO, she needs to be back in action with more like her. Task her next to a carrier and a support fleet and as a complete unit they are one of the most flexible and powerful war mechanisms ever. Imagine a MO size battleship tasked with a full carrier and its group plus 2 fast attack subs assigned to it. The combined force would be a massive force for American projection anyone on earth. Dont placate foes, crush them into dust.

  • @krashly71 luckily there is no need for shit like that anymore! US soon won't be able to pay even half the war machinery it produces today anyway. I'm quite curious if there will be another world power emerging after that!

  • @Raubvogel99 Fortunes do indeed change, but often an economic crisis and a dark era in a nations history proceeds opportunity and change no one expects. There are for sure other superpowers rising in the world, and when you see them unleashed you will beg for the days of the US war machine. I think America has a ways to fall yet, we need to hit bottom before we can change and rise again. Sometimes we need to be destroyed so we can be re-created. Europe's nations know the lesson well.

  • @Raubvogel99 Everyone cant wait to see the US war machine shrink and wither, but getting rid of the perceived oppressor just opens up a vacuum for new rising oppressors. Who do you think will fill the void? China? A Middle-Eastern Coalition of Islaamics? Perhaps an uber-socialist Euro-power? Into any gap that opens will spill someone likely to have less restraint and ambition than the US did. Better the devil you know, they say, so who will your new devil be?

  • @krashly71

What exactly would the Iowa bring that the taskforce doesn't already have?

An Arleigh Burke is a much more effective platform when it comes to air defence and tomahawk strikes.

If the need is extreme then an Ohio class SSGN can launch what, six time as many TLAMs as the Iowa ever could. The Carriers already have all the command facilities they need for TF work.

The only thing they could be used for is NGFS, but to do that it should be with the amphibs, not the carriers.

  • Congrats, baytcoda 12 .. great footage of The Mighty Mo in action. She had beautiful, graceful lines .. the modern day designs are so ugly & angular by comparison.

  • @MrMinecraft12373 She was a beauty, that's for sure. Actually, looking back at the pre-WWII battlewagons, I rather like the design of the USS Arizona (BB-39). The canted tripod masts with 3-level fire control platforms, straked decks, shape of her turret housings, superstructure. An outdated design by today;s standards, but a really nice one. the shape of her hull. Beautiful. The old cage mast ships of the Colorado and Tennessee-class battleships were cool, also.

  • I recall the reply of the captain of USS Missouri when asked what he'd do if he were hit with an exocet, the surface-skimming missile that made a mess out of several British ships in the South Atlantic War of 1983. He said that he'd have to get a stage over the side at the earliest opportunity to repaint.

  • battleships! old technology will still kick you a##.

  • What is that flash between 6 and 7seconds? the flash is going from portside to starboard halfway up the mast.

  • i thaught Battleships wernt used anymore, i reas somewhere that carriers bought the end of the age of the battleship

  • @3Slim3Shady3 You cant shoot down a High Explosive 40 inch Shell... you can shoot down a F22, or even a cruise missile... Forgive if i'm wrong but wasnt the USS Missouri one of if not the only ship to survive the assault on Pearl Harbor?

  • @Gariel2007 thts true, but in world war II carriers were discovered to be such powerful weapons which is why they were such high value targets, and thts why the Nimitz class carriers are always the first deployed for any diplomatic reasons, striking fear in any enemy country they go near, the thing is that 1 plane can be shot down, but during WWII wave after wave would be sent in, and all u need is a few aerial torpedos to hit below the water line, most BB's tht sunk in WWII were to carriers

  • @Gariel2007 sorry you are wrong the uss Missouri and her 3 sisters ships where built AFTER pearl Harbor!

  • @tnpdd18 i made a mistake not NC /// USS new Jersey .. sorry guys my kids had my mind on somoething else

  • @Gariel2007 sorry you are wrong the uss Missouri and her 3 sisters ships where built AFTER pearl Harbor!

The USS Iowa, USS Missouri, USS North Carolina and USS Wisconsin all IOWA class battle ships, they where built to avenge Pearl . all are currently OOS with the US Navy, Missouri is at Pearl next to the Arizona as a museum , Wisconsin and North Carolina being made musuem's .. USS iowa Current in California in the Reserve Fleet and can be Back in Action in 6 months if needed again

  • @tnpdd18 actually, the N. Carolina wasn't an Iowa-class ship. The Iowa-class ships were The Iowa (BB-61); New Jersey (BB-62); Missouri (BB-63); Wisconsin (BB-64). There were two other class ships, the Illinois and Kentucky. Both were never completed and scrapped following the war. The North Carolina (BB-55) was of the N. Carolina class along with USS Washington (BB-56).

  • mobile off shore artillery platforms. keep their storerooms stocked.

  • What is that thing flashing across the screen at 5 seconds?

  • Mighty Mo !!!!!! wait for meeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

  • obsolete dinosaurs modern torpedoes exploding under these ships not at armoured belt would blow them in half

  • they used to have us always nearby to track the shells downrange. we would do a bunch of tomahwak tracking also since the radar was just that good.

  • Bring Back the IOWA Class ships take out horn of africa

  • can i borrow your battleship next time i go duck hunting

  • big fat expensive targets.

  • @mow1717 That's not the case at all!

  • Did you guys see a tracer round fly over USS M at 0:06? I am I missing something, or is that really wrong? FF?

  • @musermame Holy shit, good catch. It looked huge. I don't think it was a round though. If it was real, you would hear a REALLY loud cracking sound as it passed by. That is really mysterious though, haha.

  • @musermame

Looked like it to me. Probably a ship off to the right that was also firing. Kinda weird.

  • @musermame might be the camera lighting, good observation

  • Hey Somali Pirates TURN AROUND!!!

  • It's sad that we don't have these girls anymore.

  • @MrRahmEmanuel sorry to costly and outdated submarines more efficient cost wise cheaper and can lye on bottom of sea for years undetected which ships cant do they are always visible submarines when fireing missiles are then tracable glad they are gone nice to admire but outdated

  • @MrRahmEmanuel sorry but they are to expensive to keep as show peices and are so outdated by todays standards look at royal navys class 45 destroyers more powerfull only 7200 tons running costs lower ie fuel no of sailors repairs in dock not so big a dock needed in wartime and submarines so stealthy on bottom of seas for years until needed it is sad they are gone but so is titanic

  • Thank You! Ya' know Harry S. Truman just loved her, too!
