MacGyver was a very famous tv program in the 80's I will never miss this program those days when I was 10 after 20yrs pass I still remember Mac everything is zoo perfect from the theme music to the creative story line and of course the brilliant actor. @Stargate674 I'm not sure you realize this , but if you watched every episode of the show , you will see that MacGyver uses basic physics and chemistry to create Real things that are really Possible. Stargate , while i love it to death is not truth , its mostly made up things and theoretical science things with a little bit of actual possible science sprinkled through out to make it believable.

im looking forward to 2010 a new sg1 film coming out centering around him unlike what they promised with Continuum, and yes i agree it wasnt the same after he left but i was probably biased since stargate sg1 its been my favourite thing since i was 5 years old (thats when the first season was on for me) i can even remember watching it for the first time

Stargate is a great TV show. Its unfortunate that Richard quit his main role after Season 8, and only make some guest appearance in the remaining 2 season and movies

But its really a great show up to Season 8. Richard have this witty humor thing that we've never seen before in McGyver

I really recommend that show to any fan of Richard, especially if you love his humor style.

His relationship with his daughter is really sweet. It's too bad his relationship with Apryl didn't pan out. But it's nice to see that he's taking time to really raise his daughter right and be there for her, unlike so many busy celebrities.

MacGuyver was one thing, but Stargate - just wow. I recently went out and bought season 1 dvd [was cheap, preowned] and after you get through it you really realize just how well made and written it was. Very high production values, and commentaries are always informative. He was very different from the film version of Jack, but he brought a lot of originality to the show and that character. Before you hate, go watch a few of the first seasons in a row, you'll fall in love all over again. :]
