Hi, I have a Double ferret Nation cage, and 2 ferrets. I want to get a 183 Add-On. Is it a Good Idea? I have 1 Food and 1 Water Bottle on each "Section" and a LitterBox. So the Add on would just be Bedding and What not. Just kinda a place to Chill :) I would get it next Christmas unless I win the lottery.. I will most likely have a new Addition to the Furkids by then :D
@SqueedooLaDuh It would be fine. Ferrets can never have too much space! Just remember that the 180 Ferret Nation models are NOT compatible with the older, 140 models. You have to have all 140's or all 180's. My cage is the older 140 model.
Would "the super pet first home deluxe multi level pet home with casters" be ok? I got the name straight from Amazon.com, so you can look at it if you want.
@ToriDissedYurMom Yes it is. I started off with one ferret she cost about $100. I found two more that were free and another two that were free cage included. If you look in your paper in the freebies section sometimes they have free ferret adds. Some cages are a little expensive unless you start off with one of those My First Pet cages. Be careful though cause your first ferret will get attached to you instantly, when you go to introduce other ferrets they may become territorial.
@Dxb0y9 There should be enough to cover any exposed wire that they might walk on (it's not good for their feet) and at least 2 or 3 beds of different types so that they have a choice when they sleep. :)
@FurryFerretFun Each section is connected so that they can access every part of the cage, BUT, the Ferret Nation ramps can fold up and be hooked up flat against the pan, so that you can section off each part.
@horseluver1015 Yes! :) One of my ferrets won't use the litter box if it's been used once or twice before him (and with three, it's almost impossible to keep it that clean all the time) so I made the entire bottom a litter box and he hasn't missed yet. I wouldn't suggest doing what I did unless you have a larger cage than needed, otherwise it will take up too much room.
@dragonbloom96 I thought it was pretty self explanatory- I didn't wipe down anything as my ferrets are fairly clean so there was no cleaning solution to tell you about, and all I did was unclip beds from the cage and put in clean ones.
@TheScoobydoobydoo10 Part of it is fleece... most of the stuff that they have is cotton backed with fleece but they have some other bedding pieces made of all fleece too :)
Hey finally decided and saved up money to buy the 3rd level of the ferret nation cage and i am about to buy the Painted maetal tray made for ferret nation cages on Chinchilla.ca Any advice is it good and safe to buy from that site ? Thanks
@nicky2lieben I haven't purchased from there personally, but I've heard good reviews from the site! :) The pan is currently on backorder there I believe, but I can't imagine it will take too long to get one.
@nicky2lieben Thanks! :) I got the pan from a local sheet metal company... one of my ferrets will NOT go in a regular litter box if used 2 or more times, and it becomes impossible to keep clean when you have multiples! They are also available at bassequipment,com and chinchilla,ca, I had to use commas as youtube won't let me post links!
