In addenum, I'm running the game on VISTA and haven't had any problems. If you're gonna take issue with the software, there are millions who haven't had an issue. Maybe if you had a working copy your opinion would change? Maybe if people didn't just turn it on, play it for ten minutes, say the graphics are crap and go back to TS2, your opinion would change?

Let me just say these. Those who prefer TS2 to TS3 either:

A. Have a crappy system so the game doesn't run properly or

B. Are idiots and haven't given it a chance.

I can get people not liking a new game in a series like, final fantasy say, where the battle system is different everytime, fine. But this is THE SIMS. Each game is an improvement on the last, no major changes except what you'd agree WOULD MAKE TS2 BETTER!
