I agree, it really sucks to see all of that history go to rust. whats even worse is feeling like it's all being let go, our kids could learn so much from this junk.
I would have been so proud to have had the chance to get one of these h&m motors running in shop class in high school. All we done was tear a lawn mower engine down. I'm a trucker, and I just love to see an old model b mack coming down the road, it just feels right. These pompous hoarders drive me insane.
I agree it is sad, I doubt the owner will sell them. He keeps them there for ambiance and decoration. They hold a huge car, tractor and engine show there twice a year. It's been going on for over 10 years now, so I'm sure a lot of people tried to buy them already.
i've met pricks like that . they sit on restorable mechines so they can act pompous when an offer is made on the peices "how much?! forget it ,i'll let it sit and rust for that price! hey ,i don't need the money" then they die and the kids call the scraper . it's doubly bad that he has the shows there ,you would think he would be interested in seeing the peices go to good homes ,lord knows that the tractor show people have the resources/knowledge . what an ass . sorry it just pisses me off
how sad

@IronCity2006 That is correct! Cut apart & put into the crucible of either an induction furnace or a blast furnace!
Melted down for new product materials!
