WTF? On hold for an hour? I call bs. There are standards in the cable industry requiring a certain percentage of calls be answered in under a minute. Your "hour" is probably five minutes or so during peak call times. Fifteen tops.

Comcast service is fine. No problems with internet, TV or phone. No company is perfect and every company will have its share of people that are unhappy with the service or think it costs too much. But Comcast is trying to improve their service from what I understand. And this only makes sense because there are competitors out there.

My Comcast cable went out so I went to their website and called the Customer Service # 800-COMCAST. After a few more questions and responses, I got a recording telling me to call the "new easy to remember" number, 888-COMCAST. When I called THAT number, I got the same recording! When I tried to use their LIVE CHAT, I got a pop-up telling me that there is NO LIVE CHAT OPTION IN MICHIGAN. THEIR ENTIRE CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF MUST BE SLEEPING, TOO!!

People have overeacted to this video. This tech was waiting for a modem to be "Provisioned" by his dispatchers. There was nothing he could do but sit there. He could have left and told the customer to call Comcast if it wasn't working after an hour, but he didn't, he stayed to make sure the modem did get registered and was working. For all anyone knows that could be the best Cable technician on earth who just happened to be tired while he was waiting on his dispatch.
I work myself so hard to be friendly, helpful and reliable!!! Besides how many people do you know at our job that should be fired? How many people in other companies do not have the best employee's? I do commercial and MDU work which means they send us out when everybody else gives up, as if cable is hard...lol. I'm glad there are lazy "techs"... its why I am able to make over 75k a year following up a bunch of idiots!

I love Comcast, I've been using their services for years now, and until only recently had a problem, I had a weak signal, so I wasn't getting any channels, and they came out within 2 days, fixed it, and gave me a complimentary On Demand movie.
That's actually a third party contractor, not a Comcast tech. Comcast techs are not allowed to wear shorts due to OSHA standards. Comcast no longer subcontracts to outside companies due to issues such as this. I wonder if this is a legitimate video or just someone taking a nap. I don't see any equipment, just a a person that appears to be sleeping.
Just an FYI to everyone. Comcast's new policy is that they will give you $20 for a missed or late appointment. They will also give you a premium channel free for 3 months if they have to come out two or more times in a 30 day period for a Comcast related issue. Also if you ask they will reimburse you for any days without Cable, phone or internet.
I just got comcast Digital TV installed today. The box still isn't working. Called Comcast 4 times. Now they are sending out a tech again with another 2 hour window. Not to mention the comcast guy was there at 2:01pm. my Schedule time was Noon-2:00pm. Thanks.. Glad I wasted my day waiting for a box that doesn't even work.

i actually work on a call center for comcast, techs are the number 1 problem for all the representatives; missed appointments, broken tv's, wires all over the living room.. etc, i hate em..

i agree. that's why i quit. how can you be expected to apologize a thousand times a day for techs sucking at their jobs. if anyone *ever* called in and started "i had an appointment..." i automatically thought "oh shit, another one".

I love Comcast, I've been using their services for years now, and until only recently had a problem, I had a weak signal, so I wasn't getting any channels, and they came out within 2 days, fixed it, and gave me a complimentary On Demand movie.

You all should try bellsouth, not as fast as comcast but the up time for me is over a year now. My router NEVER gives me trouble.
I got 8 wireless things connected to this router and its still fast on all 8:
5 laptops
2 desktops
Playstation 3
And a LOT of times PSP.
Yea and some people I know have comcast and they hate it because of disconnection.

That's actually a third party contractor, not a Comcast tech. Comcast techs are not allowed to wear shorts due to OSHA standards. Comcast no longer subcontracts to outside companies due to issues such as this. I wonder if this is a legitimate video or just someone taking a nap. I don't see any equipment, just a a person that appears to be sleeping.

Just an FYI to everyone. Comcast's new policy is that they will give you $20 for a missed or late appointment. They will also give you a premium channel free for 3 months if they have to come out two or more times in a 30 day period for a Comcast related issue. Also if you ask they will reimburse you for any days without Cable, phone or internet.

I just got comcast Digital TV installed today. The box still isn't working. Called Comcast 4 times. Now they are sending out a tech again with another 2 hour window. Not to mention the comcast guy was there at 2:01pm. my Schedule time was Noon-2:00pm. Thanks.. Glad I wasted my day waiting for a box that doesn't even work.
Don't get my started on the internet service. POS. I want Time Warner back!
