@KimberleeT1961 Thanks, Kimberlee. My interpretations change a little all the time. Sometimes it helps to go back to see one of my earlier perfornances as well as those of other players for new inspiration.
this is like the most unique interpretation i've heard of this piece.. :) hehe.. anyway,, you have to try to play it a LOT faster and try not to lift your left fingers too high because that's the reason why you can't play it much faster.. the lifting will cost you precious time.. :) don't give up on this piece.. you already memorized it, just try to play it faster and with continuity.. search for "Rustle of Spring by Christian Sinding" with his picture on it for reference.. :)
@raymuser if you still are working on a faster performance, you should probably use a metronome so you don't start playing the apregios out of time. That's what my version says anyway.
Yes, that's the way it should be done. My final interpretation will probably have some tempo variations, however, as I see fit. My primary audience is myself, I must confess!
I will record this again with a different interpretation in the near future. Your suggestions are appropriate, thank you. The trick is to play faster without losing dynamic expression. My next performance will be on a Yamaha MO8 keyboard synthesizer. The voice I use will also influence the interpretation.
my comment was only an idea (sorry for my bad english).I plaid this melody when I was 16 (I am now 63) and after now 1 month of work, the result is on youtube under my name bernard69F !
Thank you for sharing your performance. We can all learn from one another. I am several years older than you and in some ways I feel like a beginner on the piano. As I say on my channel, I'm a slow learner, but I enjoy learning and I never give up.
You have to practice much more...Never is too late to start a good job...

nice interpretation...
just one problem...the top notes are being brought out
it should be the bottom
but still good!

You are correct in the propper way to play this piece. I sort of get carried away with the right hand...
raymuser 2 years ago
hahaha so do I. It's hard though as more pieces focus on your right hand standing out

I am working on a faster performance, but actually a lot of people enjoy my slower and more sensitive interpretation...
