  • Is it a plug-in?

  • @peanuts2105 A currently unreleased plugin, yes.

  • that's insane how did you model the cup?

  • @adlsfreund Well, I didn't make this demonstration, as the description says, it's by Mark Schoennagel.

But what he likely did is modeled a basic cup and then used Lagoa to "emit breakable structure" from the CUP. The emitted shape will be the volume of the cup, and will be made up of particles, the size of which defined by how high you set the Sim Quality.

  • Thumbs up for Arnold!

  • what did you use for the simulation?

  • @d3tach3d Mark used Lagoa Multiphysics. Which is part of Softimage 2011.5 and up. It's built on top of Softimage's extremely efficient and powerful ICE system.

  • Cant wait for arnold and vray for XSI

  • Amaizing.!!!

  • Jesus Christ r ukidding...

softimage is my1st love now because of Lagoa...sorry pflow....ur on number 2 for me..

  • I posted the full version of the webinar here in case anyone wants to see the whole thing. Its HD as well so a little easier to read the buttons.

Apparently I cant post the link in the comments box so search for Softimage and Arnold or look at my channel, mschoennagel

  • @mschoennagel Thanks Mark, I'll put the link in the description.

  • yes please upload the tutorial

  • @gotutorials Full tutorial for using Arnold? There isn't one. It's still in beta testing, there are a few hundred people and a few studios who get to beta test it. And they have to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement.

This is just a clip from a Webinar about Softimage and Maya interoperability, and using the basics of Softimage ICE and Maya particle systems. It was aired on the Autodesk website I think on the 16th last month. It's no longer up. Although I can upload it if you would like.

  • @KakkoiiBaka is there a way to watch full webinar ?

  • @pand2aren I'll have to upload it in separate parts, as YouTube has a 10 minute restriction on videos.

  • @KakkoiiBaka Its 15 now isnt it ?

  • @oDannyMitchello Is it? Well that will make it a bit better then, but still, it's about 45 minutes. So it will be in 3 parts at least.
