Each and every one of these very expensive systems had a problem. As I openly state -- I'm not impressed. I use both the Windows Server and OS X platforms, and Apple's products all have had failure.

With a PC you have choices. Don't like that maufacturer or seller? Pick another one. Good stores allow you to RMA a processor or motherboard that you bought without too much fuzz. Apple=less freedom
True, but I just don't like the thought of having not 100% control. I don't like the idea (maybe it will ever happen when I would own a Mac) that I have to wait on the phone, waiting for a repair, that I have to bring in my Mac, that I have to be concerned about my private data on my drives when it is in repair, hidden costs, etc.
And imagine that I have to go back again...sigh. No, great machines these Macs, but I prefer PC/Windows even if it means dealing with a few annoying Windows issues.

Just because he could buy a PC computer that has the same specs for a lot cheaper doesn't mean he is getting a better computer. Apple computers last a long time. They are built well. That old Apple Lisa he has still works. It boots faster then windows will ever. Just because it is cheaper doesn't make it better. Remember you get what you pay for!

Hey Lynk, thanks for wawtching. Just for the record, I use both systems, Macs running OSX and PC's running XP Pro and Windows Server. All good stuff. Finally got that MacPro fixed -- they swapped pretty much everything! All good now - the 4 Xeon cores laugh at video compression - it really cranks!
Oh, and I'll be playing it on the XBox because I sure as heck can't afford Vista at the moment (unfortunately, because I think it sounds like an incredible operating system once you get past all of the confirmation boxes I've heard about).

I have a really good experience with Apple throughout my lifetime (17 years) perhaps its just the luck of the draw . But i thought this video was fucking awesome and so funny. I had a VERY unique video problem with my iMac, I took it in, they looked at it, it was fixed and ready for me to pick up after two days and it cost me nothing.
After you exhaust your software options, you have to take it in...
I feel your pain, if I spent $5500 on a computer and it decided to brick itself after having bizzare problems I'd be a little pissed off too! Especially if customer support talks to you like you're a moron or something. As for the maxed-out core, it might be a combination of hardware and software; there is most likely firmware built into the motherboard that OS X uses but Windows XP does not.

I have a really good experience with Apple throughout my lifetime (17 years) perhaps its just the luck of the draw . But i thought this video was fucking awesome and so funny. Perhaps when or if you upgrade to Leopard your problem will be fixed, or better yet just get another copy of Tiger. Make Apple pay for it or just steal a copy. laters

Dude, I know it seems like a pain, but just back up your data, take it in to the Apple store, show them your problem and they'll fix you up A.S.A.P.
I had a VERY unique video problem with my iMac, I took it in, they looked at it, it was fixed and ready for me to pick up after two days and it cost me nothing.
After you exhaust your software options, you have to take it in...
Or you can leave it alone and give it to me! :D

I feel your pain, if I spent $5500 on a computer and it decided to brick itself after having bizzare problems I'd be a little pissed off too! Especially if customer support talks to you like you're a moron or something. As for the maxed-out core, it might be a combination of hardware and software; there is most likely firmware built into the motherboard that OS X uses but Windows XP does not.

Well, they have their procedures. I was told to take my machine to the Apple store too.
That's what I did and they fixed my machine for me. Hey, if it's under warranty, I'm gonna use it.

thats the problem WITH EFI it may boot fast but when 1 OS fuckes uop it can fuck the EFI up BISO can not be fucked by any OS unless u flash the BISO wrong inside windows
