A.) We like to be able to stare at a nice girls butt while we play

B.) Chicks that can kick ass and take names are awesome

C.) RPG's are all about being something you're not, so why not be a female from time to time?

And that's just to name a few =p

@Chibipuppy21 FFXIV has been vastly improved and if you were a fan of FF11, it is now worth giving FFXIV a try. They call it FFXIV 2.0 now.

And actually FFXI is 10 years old now. It has had a very long run.

@TheSith1111 That's a tough question. Even with the updates done to it, it depends on your tastes. FFXIV isn't dumbed down like a lot of western MMORPG's. It's a lot bigger and requires players to do a lot more than MMO's like World of Warcraft. Having said that, I've been enjoying it and it still has a few more months of updates left to go. Who knows where it could go.

cool, been wondering how the game was doing i quit for awhile and starting play other mmos but now i'm bored again . gameplay still looks abit slow but hey it's free and the environments and art are beautiful :) will it take forever to update if i reinstall using the original disk?

@deepelements It took me only an hour and a half to download the update using the original disk. That was at about 700KB/s.

@Brambleclaw1over Welp, like I said. The last time I played was in January and I can tell they already have changed/fixed a lot since then. Not only that, but Square is pretty pissed off about the game being a flop. Firing most of the original dev team as well as the directors, and replacing them. They're trying as hard as they can to fix the game, which is why it has temporarily gone Free 2 Play during that time. I'm doing this Let's Play to see what the new team has done in 9 months.
