• PC vs mac on upgrade are now defeated stuff, every now and then hardware vendor changes their architecture that after 2~5 years your old system is too outdated that you have to replace your whole CPU. so having a mac or pc don't matter anymore, but wait.. upgrading a pc would still be cheaper, I have seen threads that says "Mac are for rich and PC are for poor", well it does not matter anymore. if you want the best for your money go to cheaper and laugh while fragging pricier one... hahaha

  • simple reason why people get a mac is because it looks good, many rich people who don't know anything about harddware and specs get MAC why because it has a good unibody which is a TItle for them. To be honest i purchased a mac which was roughly about 800 at this (2009 macbook 2.26ghz) and it was alright for like typing and surfin the net i was enjoying it and loving it (i didn't even know what a RAM stood for at that time) but later i found out that i made a shit choice with buy a mac

  • I can name two things my mac can do that my PC can't. That is run both window 7 and OSX 10.7 and make Iphone apps for free.

  • PC - 700-900$ for a High End Gaming System

Mac 2000$ and more (btw you pay 70% for the name and the apple logo and thats a fact)

  • @Mampfie Gotta love how PC users always compare gaming capabilities of PCs and Macs. Is it because you know that is the only area which PCs beat Mac?

  • @HiiMKiNeTiC ,

nope not only that,, also market share.. peace.. hehehe..

  • @Mampfie ,

I think the sticker make the price go up. If they could only insert one instead two it would really make a difference.. hehehehe..

  • a normal mac cost: $2000... dude i can buy 2 new acers that have core 15, 4gb ram, 500gb of space and nividia 1gb graphics... & they will run windows 7 Home Premium.

  • how did microsoft make a better mouse, children,

  • @kmpars ,

I think that is when they provide 2 to 3 button mouse instead of freaking one.. but we'll those days are over mouse with more button are available for both systems.

  • I think I'll take my chances and get a Mac.

  • @NOSboy2012 ,

its like taking chances on pricier hooker, you pay more but still its a hooker.. im just sayin..

  • btw why do "MACS" allways get compared to "PC's" - you can run windows on your fucken apple pc and hackintosh on your fucking other pc....

oh personally i like lenovo the most, so let's now start the samsung vs lenovo war aswell >=D

  • I have a PC desktop and a laptop

I hate my PC I really want a Mac

    PCs are crap

and plus who needs games on there computer

    thats y I bought an Xbox 360

I cant sit on a couch playing a PC game I can play an Xbox 360 or PS3 game (PS3 SUCKS, Xbox 360 FTW) on a couch

    Mac FTW

and my PC laptop is running Windows 7 and it has 2.3 GHz dual core and 3 GB of ram and it sucks

I am no Apple fanboy I dont have a Mac and I really want one

  • @makemesick35 ahahaha pc just got own! :)

    pc suck!

  • so what there saying is that the 1998 version of osx will work 100% with todays software... thats the biggest BS ever

  • VISTA AND 7 ARE NOT RIP OFFS OF MAC!!!!!! They are orginal. They just added more convenient features.

  • Hey dumbass its "id" not "idead" and macs are better than pc's will EVER BE stop trash talking the mac and go get some friends loser

  • @joeykid311 typical apple mac bummer, going on rushing in saying what they believe is better and they know all and are wrong by proving that by by your comment and not even considered the fact that english isnt even his primary language.

thats why im a pc cause if i went to apple, i would turn into an ignorant cunt

  • Use the spell check on your PC before you do another "video." Sheesh.

  • @pkamler hahaha cuz on a mac there is a an auto-correction! stupid pc!

  • mac are upgradable, search upgrade mac, why do yo think they are not!!? apple recommend they upgrade your mac because they dont want you do something wrong and muck it up. macs probably wont last 15 years but generally do last longer than pcs and thats why pcs are cheap because they use cheap parts thats how they get the costs down!

  • you cause a intel core 2 duo @ 2.53 from mac is way different then a intel core 2 duo @ 2.53 for pc, you know the harmony and integration shit that make us uniques ^^, and if i want to upgrade my processor i can do it as easy as buy another imac (!)

  • @Andr3icK yeah ts more easy to uprgade a mac than a pc! you just go at the apple specialist..not at futur shop or staple...cuz those shop suck XD

  • a good pc can last 4 or 5 years, and what do you mean "cheap parts"

(a 2005 pc that runs XP will run slower, but fine now)

  • @rockindoodcm shut the **** uup men! you guys are juste jalous cuz APPLE own pc!

1-why we CAN'T install osx on pc(we can but on certain pc and its crap) cuz pc suck

and wwhy we CAN have windows on mac? cuz we are the best...

2-ummm...yes we can play game on mac :o haha 98 of all the game!

3-no virus and will not have till a long time cuz first:there no virus for the moment and the security is very good compare of pc

4-the price...there nothing in pc...you can just scrap it while doing nothing XD

  • @tgosselin321 1.

    1. you can't install osx on a pc because apple doesn't licence it to it. It has nothing to do with the pc itself

    2. You can have windows on mac because Microsoft sells their os to all manufactures including apple. A mac running windows is a PC, so you fucked up there

    3. Macs have no security, virus makers just make virues for maked because there are so few of them compared to PC's t o infect. Because of that PCC's have the latest software in virus protection

    4.

  • @tgosselin321 4. That makes no scene. If you took a mac and a pc at the same price, the pc would be twice as powerful as the mac. The reason is because apple only sells their os on apple computers, so they really are the only person in the market when it comes to that. If you want a computer with osx, you have to buy it fro apple and that's why they charge so much. Simple economics. Gos your stupid.

  • @tgosselin321 dude, do you realise how much shit you're talking? did you buy your beloved and married mac on credit or why are you so angry?

    GET.

    A.

    LIFE.

  • Hmm..well I feel you on you video, although I do like my Mac. But your video would sound half convincible if all of your words were spelled right..i'm just saying.

  • @ReekaRoyalty hahaha the video is cheap because is did on a pc XD hahahahahhahahaha pc are fucking loser!!!!

  • @tgosselin321 mac is gay as fuck i hate it

  • I don't want to get into a flame war but Macs were not the first GUI computer. Xerox holds the crown for having the first GUI system and Apple stole the idea after a tour of Xerox Parc.

  • One note. It was Gates that bought the mouse tech from Xerox while he was working with Apple back in the day. It was about a year, year and a half that they were working together. Microsoft just had better programmers.

  • why cant we just go on with our lifes and stop that flaming war about macs and pcs? i got linux, windows on a pc and a macbook i just got for christmas... .___.

  • When Windows is so handsome as you tell, why do they have to grad all the stuff made by apple (the mouse, win vista features). Is Microsoft just to cool to make its own hardware/software and has to steal it?

About the Flash games.. loooool..never heard that argument bevore. I never had any problems with any flash game and my friends too have none. Because it is the same Flash Player (both by adobe)!!!!

I actually think ur just some 14yo, that tries to make look as if he actually knows something

  • Lets see the average Mac vs the average PC run "ANY" game period, yeah, I thought so. 90% won't run on the Mac, if they do, it's via bootcamp and an extra few hundred dollars to purchase a MS OS (which you're supposed to hate, yet they want you to run it and get viruses?) then if you're lucky maybe you have a good enough video card.

All the while, with a PC, it's simple, buy any game, install it, and play, PERIOD. If ya need better hardware, yay, PC's are 100% upgradable, how nice is that?

  • lol, if it would be as easy as just install something and run it on a windows, win wouldn't be that bad, but u normally get problem after problem, have to look up how to run every third program in the internet....

And yes, if u are a kid that just wants to play all games, u maybe should get a PC, but when u want a gaming console, why dont get an XBox/PS3?

And the point about upgrading...U can't upgrade IMacs and Macbooks, but u too cant Upgrade Win Laptops...u can upgrade the normal Mac Pro!!

  • Actually you can upgade memory and harddrive space and the processor in a pc laptop. All PC laptops.

  • wow ur dumb

  • Dude you're so full of shit, get off this topic, and get off Apples dick. Fucking idiot.

  • ye, thats a good strategy....ur out of arguments, because u never had some....so why dont just flame? LoL, I hope now u feel really cool and can tell all ur schoolfriends how cool u are :)

  • Actually an engineer at xerox made the first mouse. and the software to run it. Bill Gates helped write the original Mac OS and a large number of the great features built into it you love so much are Win ideas in the first place. Learn your history my young padawan. Oh and it WAS Gates that paid for the patent from the guy at xerox. The only reason Apple has it is that he was working in cooperation with them at the time.

  • Mac may have come up with some ideas first, but Windows has done a much better job with their execution.

  • i'm not an apple fan but thats not true at all. yes, microsoft stole almost every idea they ever developed (including dos and ms surface) but they did a TERRIBLE job executing it. they know business and they did a great job at promoting their products, but microsoft makes really crappy stuff and what isn't crappy isn't actually made by them, they just stick their name on it (such as the fingerprint reader). just look at vista and xbox 360, both are terrible products

  • Vista is great, 2 years and NO problems for me. And Xbox is crap but its better than the piles of shit we call PS3 and Wii.

  • like i said, i don't think vista is that unstable or incompatible, its just a crappy os in general. and other than price, there is nothing wrong with ps3. wii was not intended for hardcore gamers, it was typically meant for parties and children and its better at that than both other consoles. xbox360 is actually the worst of the 3

  • Wii never breaks but has no fun games(And the online games are hard to get to work)

PS3 breaks every-once-in-a-while and has a few games. (but now they are old)

Xbox breakes frequently but everyone has one (so you can play online with your freinds) and It has all the good games.

  • *breaks

  • i got a mac on christmas randomguyperson1 and i live in bodø and i speak norwegian but i speak english too but i speak norwegian most.

  • Unbelievable but Windows XP still #1OS.

  • you mean #1 PC OS, #2 overall OS.

  • i mean PC. I hate people that compare OSs in different enviroments.

  • once u go mac u will atomaticlly go back

  • I actually lol'ed at that...

  • Macs still use Core 2 Duos. The only good Mac Is the Mac Pro which costs $2800.

I agree I love Mac's OS, but they are using old technology.

  • they are too fucking expensive, use old shit, and are useless

  • lol

  • i agree with you there! :)

  • i got a mac on christmas randomguyperson1 and i live in bodø and i speak norwegian but i speak english too but i speak norwegian most.

  • Macs are hard to switch too? LOL ...It took me 5 min TOPS.

  • Windows has spell check. I'd suggest you use it.

I've had a PC with every OS from Win 95 onward and nothing, nothing beats the Mac I have now. I won't waste my money on Windows ever again.

  • apples computers are really weird i cant figure it out. its all backwords and strange.

  • nice video, all facts, no ever exaggerations

  • Ahem... Apple did not invent the mouse, Douglas Engelbart did as part of his research at Stanford, alongside incidentally, the first modern GUI and the first computer network. Apple weren't even the first to licence the mouse, Xerox were...

  • Macs last the lifespan of their users. In that sense they should last for 15-20 years or so.

  • I can use my Mac for business, games, video editing, photo work, music, etc.... no limits here... and it doesn't crash! Switching to a Mac is EASY - apparently you never did it. Apple makes all in ones and miniPCs - no WINDOWS all in one or miniPC is upgradable either. Mac Pro IS upgradable, Macs usefulness lasts longer than PCs since the OS can be used on older machines, AND I don't believe you I found out for myself. Apple's ads don't lie. Ive used both Windows and Mac.

  • EVERY COPY OF Win2k IVE EVER USED NEVER CRASHED OR GOT A BSOD BITCH! SCREW MAC OS X! (old macs rule)

  • Mac's last longer than PC's because they are constantly out of date, the only way to get semi-modern stuff in a Mac is through the PowerMacs, and I'm not paying £1,600 or so for one of those pieces of crap when I can get an equivalent PC for half that, easily.

You can use a PC for all that, and it's better at all of them. Especially Business (even Mac adverts have to admit that), Games..and they do crash. If you do any strenuous work, they are extremely unstable.

  • Your Mac knowledge is incorrect. The reason Macs last longer is due to Apples tight quality control on components. Additionally Apple writes its new OS's with older machines in mind. So the user has no need to get a new system in order to run a new OS. Macs from like 6-7 years ago were upgradable to Leopard. Vista not so much.

And its not called the PowerMac.... hasn't been since 2006. Its the Mac Pro... and its a server based system, not a home computer.

  • Go to the Apple site, and go to build an iMac. The components are pretty much all out of date. The graphics cards have been upgraded recently, so now they're running the crap mobile versions of the latest cards PC's can use - but everything else is still old.

Also while Vista was a memory hog, only -very ,very- old components will not work. My Dad uses Vista on his 2002 PC and it runs fine.

And sorry, Mac Pro. I'm aware it's not a home computer.

  • Um I think I'm at the Apple site more than you. I'm aware of the components in them. The components are not out of date since they are still being made and used in many PCS as well.

And Vista - you do know that MS if I remember correctly had some class action lawsuits due to the claims that older systems could run it when as it turns out - they couldn't. That whole "vista ready" they failed to tell buys it was the base version of it.

  • Out of date, as in, the best processor available for a iMac is:

    3.06ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

My one-year-old mid spec PC has a 2.8ghz (overclocked to 3.2ghz, oh yeah, I can do that without my computer frying itself in it's pretty case) QUAD core.

Whoops! That's because iMacs use laptop parts to have that pretty intergrated look. Which throttles performance and price.

  • Again that is where you all fail at understanding things. Your PC is a tower most likely, not an all-in-one... so you can't compare it to an all-in-one.

And PC all in ones are just the same as Macs. Many of the same components. In fact - aside from processors, iMacs tend to offer better graphics cards, memory displays, software, and designs.

  • Again what you all fail to realize is that a computers value isn't just measured by how overclocked you can make it - but how reliable it is over the course of many years. Why get a new computer if you don't have to? Apple builds is products to remain very useful over many years. My old G5 is reliable, a workhorse, never failed me, never crashed - ever! So how does that make it "suck"? And When it came time to upgrade the OS I paid less for my fully featured Leopard than Vista basic!!

  • That is true. I upgrade my PC because I am a gamer and I needed a new computer for HD Editing purposes, but otherwise my PC from 2005 would've done fine. Lasted me 3 years, which is about the time I get sick of a computer and want to upgrade (I'd want to with a Mac, too).

But for any regular use, a PC lasts just as long, if not longer than a Mac, simply because of Upgrades and Overclocking.

And, like I showed before, best not to go into price comparisons with Apple products. You won't win.

  • Macs generally last a lot longer than just 3 years. My iMac is now working closer to 4 years now - no problems. I have a newer iMac but that was to add editing options.

And using upgrades and overclocking as a defense is only something that a small percentage of users ever do. Most buyers never open the case once. So they won't last any longer due to the user not caring. They only paid 400 bucks at Walmart why should they care if it only last 2 years?

And prices - bring it on.

  • My older G5 iMac is running Leopard just fine - version 10.5.7.

And when you actually compare like form factor the price difference is almost nothing. Many times the Mac comes out cheaper!

And don't make claims you can't back up. MS Office is also written for Mac and with Snow Leopards integrated MS Exchange its even better.

And "extremely unstable"?? Never had that problem and I work with video all the time. I wish you guys would stop making claims about Macs when you have no idea.

  • And old computers can run Vista fine, Windows 7 even moreso.

If you're seriously saying Macs are "almost nothing" more expensive than PC's, you are deluded. Equivilants cost about 30%, ish, more. But on top of that, getting a basic Mac costs way more than a basic PC.

And MSOffice for Mac is a cut down version of the PC Office Suite. And the PC interface is much better.

I have used Macs for editing at my University, they are awful. Everyone there is happy to own a PC they can edit on.

  • You are delusional. Try pricing a MacBook Air with that overpriced underpowered Dell Adamo.

And instead of making claims try correct comparisons. There is no "basic Mac" that you can compare with a basic pc.

Generally Macs used in universities are not always new and are used by hundreds of people - lots of abuse by people like you that just don't understand the Mac OS.

I really dont know what you are all complaining about, I have no problems with my Macs. None.

  • Um, a basic mac would be the lowest price you could get one, silly. So, most likely the MacMini. In the UK, they cost at minimum £500. I could buy an equivilant spec laptop with a decent screen and keyboard for about £350.

And I love how you blame the user for the Mac OS sucking. Thought it was easy to use? But besides, the ones we use were new to the Uni and if an OS can break from over-use..wow.

And I have problems with the Macs I use and I've never had any problems with my PCs.

  • I will blame the user, but how can anyone possible call Windows more useful than OS X???? Unreal!

And the Mac Mini is not a basic Mac. And its not a competitor to the basic tower models told at Walmart or Best Buy for cheap prices. Its in a form factor referred to as the mini pc. And there are others out there from Dell, etc.

Always had problems with PCs and its generally what I hear from other average users - the mass user base btw. No idea why you tech savvy guys always have problems.

  • A lot comes down to personal preference, but what makes it more useful is that 99% of programs are written for Windows. And that 1% that are written for Mac are almost all by Apple and of little use to me.

Unfortunately you can't get out of that argument just by saying "there is no comparison". The cheapest you can get a Mac is the MacMini. The cheapest you can get a PC is a Laptop, and it works out cheaper.

  • OK right there shows you are not familiar with Macs. the ration of software is way different than that. Since many vendors write their apps for both platforms and there are many just written for each. And most apps for Macs are NOT from Apple.

The cheapest pc laptop is a netbook - the mac min runs circles around them. Stop comparing out of form factor.

Mac Mini and the Dell Studio Hybrid are similar.

  • You can't compare a laptop to a mini pc. Totally different form factor. And a netbook is not considered to be much of a computer by many in the pc world. They are fun and useful but not powerful at all.

  • I didn't say they were powerful. I said they were a PC.

I said they lasted longer than a Mac due to overclocking. Without, just as long. XP was updated with SP3 roughly 8 years since it's first release. How is that not good support?

I was exaggerating. But the proportion is not as big as you probably want to think, a lot of programs are written for Windows and then ported (Office, for instance), but the major apps for Mac are Apple-written. The iLife suite, Final Cut, Safari, Aperture..

  • You said they were a PC but compared them to a Mini.

Most buyers never overclock or upgrade much of anything. Overclocking is risky and hardly helps the longevity of a system.

XP is an old OS, its decent but its old. I'm talking about Vista.

And umm yes the proportion is much bigger than you realize! The major apple apps are indeed written in house - but are not ported over to Windows - so there again is a section of software not available for PC. TONS of great apps on Mac.

  • You were talking about the long-term reliability of a PC. XP is a long-term supported operating system that still runs great on old PC's, so..

And yes I know those applications are not available on PC. Not that I would particularly want to use them. I prefer Premiere and Avid to Final Cut, Adobe Lightroom is easily as good as Aperture, and iLife is template-creativity-for-idiots. Safari is actually available for Windows..but no one uses it because even IE is better than that tat.

  • Well its obvious you are starting to fail in your arguments because you made a stupid remark and called mac users idiots. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY - KEEP THIS DEBATE CIVILIZED!!! Ok.

Nobody uses Safari on Windows because hardly anyone knows it exists on Windows. But in side by side tests its been proven to be the best web browser in speed and stability... no the test I am referring to was not from Apple.

I was talking about old PCs. So XP is ok for them... not Vista

  • I didn't call Mac users idiots, I said iLife is a "for-idiots" package. So, more correctly, I called users of it idiots. Which I make no apologies for.

As for your old iMac, like I said you're saying I can't compare it to modern computer speeds. What I would say sucks, though, is 2.5GB of RAM (most likely DDR2, also), a 250GB HDD, and the graphics card is awful. But that's only because I'm comparing it to what a modern day editing computer 'should' be..that argument is of little relevance.

  • I use it and many Mac users do as well... .so you just called us idiots... thanks.

How about all that lamo software to make movies in Windows like that shitty Windows Movie Maker laugh fest?

And not even close with the assessment of my iMac. It runs great and does the job. So how does it suck? Please explain. And incase you didn't notice the jury is still out on which grade of RAM is better DDR3 1066 or DDR2 800.

The graphics card works fine dude.

  • Windows Movie Maker, like iMovie, is not made for serious editing obviously. I'm not exactly going to defend programs like paint. But, the difference is, Microsoft don't advertise them as 'features' of their Operating System.

I'd be curious how well it handles HD footage for a start. I'm sure it does what you want it to do just fine, but you're making some sort of "well, my Mac is good for what I want so..Macs are great."

  • The reason they don't advertise them as features is because Windows Movie Maker isn't as good as anything in iLife. And they don't advertise iLife as being part of OS X.

And no sir... You are acting like in order to be called a good computer my iMac needs to have the latest and greatest at all times or it sux. You just think Macs suck and you'll find any way to defend your point. Even if its wrong.

  • It handles HD footage fine btw....

So does my newer intel iMac btw...

Your definition of a good computer that doesn't suck is one that has the latest and greatest - even it it crashes. Greatness is measured in reliability and stability. Neither of those are words I hear people using when describing their PCs. Generally I hear this from Mac users.

  • The iLife suite isn't at all for idiots. Its just what Windows fanboys call it because MS is too cheap to bundle anything like that with Windows. Its a very cool suite that actually has a great deal of features not found on bundles in this price range.

  • A better assessment of iLife would be an easy to use all encompassing suite of applications that enables the average user to create great home movies, books, music, and other such projects without needing to be an expert. Not at all a for idiots type of thing.

And why do you PC guys feel the need to always bash??? You can't ever comment without the typical childish name calling that we all left behind in middle school - well most of us left it behind, sir.

  • Have you seen Apple's advertisments lately? And by lately, I mean, forever..there's quite a bit of childish "bashing" going on there.

And, you pretty much described a "for-idiots" package. Let me explain; a "for-idiots" package is something that requires no real technical knowledge to operate. Ta-da, iLife. I'm not saying it might not have its uses to a technical simpleton, but it's not creativity. It's using templates. Nothing more.

  • That PC works out a lot cheaper (unless you bought a $1000 monitor or similar) so I'm not sure you're doing your price argument any favours.

But I'm not sure where your argument lies - you bought a crap PC so all PC's are crap? The fact it had integrated graphics should be a warning sign to steer clear.

  • Ok this is crazy... can't type more than 500 characters and bam... sending you an email.

  • Of course I've seen the ads. Watch them closer next time - they never say that iLife is part of OS X.

And no sir that is not a "for idiots" package. Its an easy to use package. The term "for idiots" is just so degrading that you should avoid such nonsense. Its certainly not for idiots. I know some people that have not discovered its hidden advanced editing features - not advertised btw.

And I primarily use iMovie 6 - no templates.

  • They say it comes with a Mac. Same difference, frankly.

And you have distorted what I've said. My definition of a "good computer that doesn't suck" is it's fast and reliable, with as few crashes as possible. I have never had a BSOD on my current computer. I had 1 on my old computer, due to some faulty memory. I ran XP/Visa and aside from the occasional hickup, it never crashed. My new computer, the same.

  • Its not the same difference - they say it comes on every Mac - they dont' say its part of OS X. They never do.

And the only guys i ever find that never see the bsod are you tech guys. IF its so rare then how come the entire planet knows what it is and most humor associated with Windows refers back to the bsod??

  • Because of it's previous infamy. Type in BSOD on Google images, look at the style of it, most are Windows 98 BSOD's.

BSOD's are also often caused by faulty hardware, not software.

  • Then how come my Compaq while running XP experienced a ton of the bsod? And Ive known people to complain about it in Vista as well.. not as much though thankfully for them.

And I know what causes it - but it comes back to it effecting the OS. I'm waiting for you to bring up the Kernel Panic argument.

  • Because it was clearly a cheap, low-quality PC which you keep referring to as the 'norm' when it isn't.

  • At $600 (I heard it was getting as much as $1000) it was hardly a cheap PC.

  • It had integrated graphics.

    It was a cheap PC.

  • Doesn't matter.. it was still listed between 600-1000. Thats not a cheap PC thats and OVERPRICED PC. Oh wait OMG - PC overpriced!!!

  • I never said a PC couldn't be overpriced, it's just only an idiot would pay that much for something of that spec.

  • Its a PC and people are under the impression that an expensive PC must be really good. So it would appear that Compaq lied to customers.

  • $600-$1000 is not overpriced.

    $2500-$20000 is over priced.

although, windows does in fact have a handful of overpriced computers. they're called vaios.

  • Interesting... aside from the Mac Pro (which is a server grade computer) and the top end MacBook Pros no Macs are priced above 2500. Not sure where you are getting your info from. My top of the line iMac from late 05 was 1699. And my recent iMac was only 999. Now generally all in ones are more expensive but the imac isn't more expansive than the average of its class.

  • From my experience most problems are from loading up too many peripherals or programs. Apple has a way of controlling the Mac by making it more difficult to program for. Any joe schmoe can make a PC program, and chances are they will not debug it. Apple also throws backwards compatibility out the window every 6 years or so (which some may argue lends stability).

Most of the problems I have seen with Vista were Bad Nvidia Graphic/HP PRinter drivers or Google Desktop/iTunes issues. Third party.

  • That is EXACTLY IT. My Vista computer has crashed 5 times since I got it. 3 of those times were because of an error with my NVIDIA graphics card, one was because of iTunes (hmmm, kinda fishy), and one was because it overheated when it was sitting on my bed for too long. Most people (myself included) go online to all sorts of websites and download all sorts of free crap that was made by some Joe Shmo and is unreliable and causes instability.

  •
one was because it overheated when it was sitting on my bed for too long.
This one wasn't at all because of Vista, it overheated because you blocked the airflow, the same thing would happen on any other portable system PC or otherwise.

  • That's what I'm saying, Vista has been just fine for me. I do a lot of photo, music, and video editing, and it's excellent. It's crashed a few times in the almost two years that i've had it, but the crashes are always explained and the nVidia ones are because I have a really cheap graphics card (which is probably the one thing I shouldn't have cheaped out on with all the editing I do)

  • Vista works good only if you arent an idiot,if you are it crashes, same as all windows systems,if you care about them and act friendly, understanding theyr limitations, they will live longer than a mac

  • you're right, most people are just idiots when they use vista, but its still a crappy os. i actually don't hate it because of its stability, i hate it because of everything else like most of the changes made with it and how resource demanding it is for how little you get out of it

  • The problem with Vista is that its been released too early. They shouldve checked it more for bugs and otehr problems.

  • Meanwhile, here's my computer spec from the PC I bought mid/late-2005 (that is now running Vista perfectly well) -

    Intel Pentium D 2.8ghz

    2GB DDR2 RAM (Upgraded to 4 in 2006)

500GB HDD (Upgraded to 1TB RAID in 2006)

    GeForce 7800GTX 256mb

£1000. About the same price a mid-range Mac would've been at that time.

Of course, to make it work for modern games I could've just upgraded my graphics card and CPU.

  • I have a PC from 2004 running at 2.7ghz Intel Celeron (my iMac runs circles around it btw). Its NOT upgradeable beyond 1gb ram and the HD is only 40gb. OH and horrible intel graphics that won't allow me to enable any effects in Linux. I wiped out the HD from its Windows prison.

The PC I just spoke of ran me about $600 (not including costs of monitor, upgraded ram and replaced power supply) and my iMac was $1700 no extra costs needed. The PC failed after 18 months.

  • I'm still waiting for you to tell me how my old iMac sucks.

And the Safari market share is reflective of Macs market share. No brainer on that one - has nothing to do with people preferring it or not. Windows users in general hardly know it exists!

  • And I find that with Windows there are just way to many duplicate apps. How many versions of an office suite or a paint app do you really need? You all make it seem like we have no software - we have tons!!! Generally for any app in windows theres an equivalent for Mac.

  • The only thing we an agree on is that it is all in personal preference. I eventually lost the desire to fight with Windows on a daily basis, but hated the idea of getting a Mac. Buckled under the pressure - got one. And wondered why I didn't switch a long time ago! This old G5 has been the best computer I ever had! To me that means it doesn't at all suck. Any computer that has never crashed, never froze up, always works, etc etc - is a good computer.

  • OK... Im going to give you the specs on my old G5 iMac. Tell me why it sucks ok?

20" iMac G5 with iSight camera

    2.1ghz PowerPC G5 processory

    2.5gb RAM

    250gb HDD

    ATI Radeon X600 XT graphics

    Its never crashed (kernel panic)

    No viruses

It plows through any video project with no trouble.

The only thing you could even complain about is that being as how its a processor from 2005 - its slower than newer system. But duh - thats normal.

  • I don't mind the debate back and forth but where the problem lies is when the PC side makes stupid claims about Macs such as the price thing.

iMac in 2005 17" was about 1299. And can run Leopard no problem. So its still being used

PC all in one from the same time frame about same price. Chances are they can't upgrade to much more than Vista basic. The user wants all the features of top end Vista - causing them to purchase a new system spending about another $1000.

  • Running a Mac for over 3 years now - no viruses (not running and antivirus software either), Macs can run games thru emulators or boot into Windows, Apple's first gui WAS revolutionary, MS's mouse was no better (yes the mighty mouse can right click), and your communism comment is actually more a MS thing since buying a Mac takes "thinking outside the box" rather than just doing what everyone else does and buying a Windows machine,...

    end part one

  • I think your missing these: .,;:?!

I hate this debate. They are both good computers. It really depends on your PERSONAL preference.

And let em guess, that amazing presentation was created using a...PC?

  • macs get viruses VERY easily. The reason you dont see alot of viruses on them right now is they are currently less then 10% of the market share.

  • Comment removed

  • Fact:

Neither computer is better. they are both equally good. it matters not who made the computer, but how it serves YOU, the user.

  • This video is a prime example of how idiotic people can be.

I'd bet you've never used a mac for long enough to see how good it is.

Even though I'm a vista user, I am A supporter of alternate OSs (Linux, Mac, ReactOS). The only reason I use Vista is because I'm a windows programmer!

  • Vista rocks just dumbass kids listen to each other and Pc is the best operating system and it can do the most a computer can do macs are just rip off advertisers but there are viruses and spyware on macs too the more people start to use it the more they become

  • you have so right

  • thats true ----dont trust what a company says about a rival company

  • nice vid but Vista is not copyin os x

  • ?v=w-_xAKSWkdE there u have it

  • Fuck, you need to learn english dude!!

  • I would buy a mac for one reason. That would be to manage media and create projects but now that apple raised the price on itunes to 1.29 i think im gonna move to zune because i like zunes better than my touch anyway and at 1.29 a song that leaves me with change left over which pisses me off

  • Macs are just as buggy as pcs. The only difference is that 1) Macs spend billions on false advertising to look better and 2) Windows actually have utilities such as task manager to solve issues, unlike macs that force you to watch the pretty spinning rainbow ball then get tired and disconnect the battery.

  • What a retard, try a mac before speaking. Macs are not nearly as unstable as PCs.

1)Bullshit 2)Oh, really? Because OS X actually has the Activity Monitor which does exactly the same thing? And you know what? Even if it didn't have those kind of programs, it wouldn't be a problem, because you just DON'T encounter as many problems as you do with Windows. The spinning ball is just an effect of a (rare) badly written program or a hardware problem. While with Windows, everything could cause a prob

  • I own several macs, and hopped on the bandwagon while getting a computer for college. Everyone wanted a mac, so I also did since they were said to be sooooo great. The next year I resorted to a PC. I was tired of the 2 gigs of ram and forcing restarts. And as you said, macs can also have problems, therefore acting as macs are perfect on commercials is false advertising. Its only an opinion so if you don't mind settling for a mac, then I don't care either.

  • Just because your Mac had hardware problems it doesn't mean that all Macs are so. In fact, your situation is unusual.

  • I was not the only one, many others switched to a pc once they realized the limitations.

  • Yeah, right.

  • Comment removed

  • I won't suck something which has been up your and your father's ass all the time.

  • Just use a Mac and you'll understand why it is better. But anyway you can use both and Linux. They are always improving and therefore you can take the best of them all.

  • Ask a mac user why vista sucks, they say it just does... any reason or point to prove that? Nope. Mac is better at advertising, thats it.

  • hey mac fanboys, did you ever hear about games? no its such a thing, to have fun with. like cod4 or other games

  • i dont know nothing about mac only they they are expensive

  • wow ur a dumbassss really im to mad to even write how big of a dumbass u r

    wow

    i feel sorry for u

but if u do want me to tell u how big of a dumbass u r messge me well have a mac vs pc war bi dumbass

  • you think macs are better because they are for technologically illiterate fucktards that can't use a fucking computer! And Vista sucks? You're just saying that because a couple of other mac fanboys said that because they didn't know how to use a FUCKING computer. I use vista and it runs fine and I can do pretty much everything on it. I can change the system, play games, everything. But when I used a friend's mac. I could only use a couple of programs and had no access to the computer itself. FU

  • Hey FUCK YOU! Windows Vista SUCKS! And you can't even face that! That's a true shame. Mac's are better then PC's. Sooner you face that, the better. There is no good OS from Microsoft! They all kinda of SUCK! Except WIndows XP of course. I find Windows XP enjoyable much as Mac OS X.

And how can you call me a Macfan boy you FUCKING RETART! I don't even OWN ONE! Because I'm useing some NO GOOD OS CALLED VISTA! I use the Mac's at school, and the Windows at home. MAcs are better! FACE IT!

  • Whats the problem your having with your vista OS? I have vista and havent had it crash on me once. just dont bog down its performance by piling it up with so many programs and files youll never use. (also if you find it runs slow thats probably based on your hardware, and there are properties u can change for that). I never have to wait on vista to do something except for when it is starting up, but even then its like 3 mins tops. Oh, and my laptop only cost 600 canadian dollars fully loaded.

  • Vista just sucks, and Macs are better, Bill Gates said so himself

  • Good point. No one has put it that way yet... why does vista suck? just does, why is mac good? just is. ohhhh how could i be so ignorant.

  • ya, you kinda explained, and vista sucks in so many ways, Because Windows WILL NOT find solutions to your problems, and the thing ask me if I open a app all by myself!

  • Uhmm from what youve just said I agree you should definetly own a mac. Its moron proof, that thing ask you if u open a app all by yourself (My what great grammar u have) Is just a setting, easily changed, by any computer literate 10 year old. Windows WILL NOT find solutions to your problems? Thats a pretty vague statement, if your problem is being a moron no it wont help you, If your problem is anything else, Windows will most likely self fix it or have a readme that will guide you through it.

  • I don't care how I spell online, and your the moron, also how come IE7 kept crashing? Windows did not find a solution. However, Windows did find one solution, it's just begged for me to buy a Mac. And don't talk crap about Macs UNLESS you TRUELY used one. Cause I thought Macs sucked till I used one.

  • If IE7 kept crashing it was most likely because of 3rd party content on sites. And thats your Browser not OS. If you have problems with IE7 try getting google chrome or firefox or even safari. To me I prefer PC because of the efficent layout (i find macs are flash before function) and amount of programs there are to suit your needs, and my systems never crashed so how does it suck?

  • I have used one, me and my roommate split on one and i used it for a year. I still prefer windows hands down. I find that the problems people have with vista and reasons they say it sucks have never happened on my laptop, and i just have a out of the box 600$ hp. Im fine that some people prefer macs, but they try to justify that by saying that mac never has problems and windows never works. Ive had way less problems on my Hp then when i owned the mac.

  • this video literally made me sick. no or little opinion my ass. you mentioned gaming (just like every video thats pro windows) and i have to say, it isnt THAT easy to run windows on a mac. i bet you have an ipod. probably an iphone. and i bet you are stupid enough to not know that your iphone IS MADE BY APPLE.

  • This video is BULL CRAP! It's easy to learn how to use a Mac. I use a PC at home since I have no money for a Mac right now. But I use Macs at school. And I found useing the Mac a better experence. OH, and by the way retart, Microsoft did not make the mouse! You retart! And made that crappy OS called WIndows Vista! So this video is BULL CRAP! You get 1 star

  • Lol.... "retart"?

  • wow you obviously know nothing

  • you think macs are better because they are for technologically illiterate fucktards that can't use a fucking computer! And Vista sucks? You're just saying that because a couple of other mac fanboys said that because they didn't know how to use a FUCKING computer. I use vista and it runs fine and I can do pretty much everything on it. I can change the system, play games, everything. But when I used a friend's mac. I could only use a couple of programs and had no access to the computer itself. FU

  • Btw...person who made this video...please learn how to spell for christ sakes.

  • Apple did not make the mouse.

  • they made the mouse graphically yes, and also they made it to what it is today. and i fucking swear if you or any1 else says Macs can't right click, ill spam your ass(or asses)

  • macs cant right click. they have secondary click.

    DUN DUN DUNNN

  • Good point
