She should have re-written music history. In all my life I have never heard a voice like this. I want to hear her sing ALL of the old classics. That she is not commonly known as one of the all time greats is a crime. Her voice is a gift from God.
All of my mon,tue,wed,thur,fri blues are gone when i heard this song and all of the instruments which makes this extra special...I think my husband is gonna love this one..happy valentines my love..
Years ago PBS released the making of this album with all music for a benefit drive. I hear it is still available through many PBS stations...2 hours of wonderful...was it 1993? We have had a copy of The Glory Of Gershwin since that broadcast. My daughter loves it as much as any contemporary music....she was age 7 when it was released. Great stuff!!
6 mins? Look at the other version - at 4 and a bit minutes Larry Adler proposes to her, jokingly, then talks abouit Gershwin. There's some missing from the front end too. Obviously the missing bits are blank time on this clip.
