The Chandler TG-2 was cloned after the same EMI pres built for Abbey Road studios. Same sound as The Beatles Abbey Road album and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.
I just wanna let you know how amazing your albums are, they are becoming a huge influence on me and are changing the way I think about writing music. Keep up the great work!
This sounds great. Nice to see some space around the tones. Shredders could learn alot from you! The background reminds me of the start of Porcupine Tree's Darkest Eyes
Warren - glad i found you on HC and HRI -- your cd is in constant rotation on the Ipod -- you are a GREAT PLAYER, perfect blend of chops and taste!!!!
@donlies Thanks! Everything in the chain does its bit in colouring the tone, from the strings to the amp to the speakers to the mic pre - they all add up to give you the resulting tone. The Chandler is definitely a great preamp - one of the best for recording electric guitar imho.
Wow!! Orgasmic sound! That sustain is just pure goodness, did you use any sustainer of some sort? What's the delay/ looper that you used to create the background 'rhythm' sound?
The sustain was just from a way a guitar reacts acoustically to a really loud amp in the same room : ) I created the loop and added delay in the recording software (Nuendo) at the studio.
Very nice!! Your note choice is great, but above everything, it is your note articulation, voicing and touch. A real sensitivity to "how it sounds". I checked out your music page, some TRULY beautiful music. Heartfelt and to the point, honest music.

@blackstratblues hello
I love that sound!
Is the sound coming out of the cabinet Marschall is the same as coming out of TG2.
What does the preamp Chandler brings more to the record?
