Ok first of all this isn't a cold start considering you started it up in less than 3 seconds, usually you have to wait for the WAIT TO START TO GO OFF which takes up to a minute or less in the cold unplugged, also it doesnt sound like you've built the motor any, governer springs exc... Your not suppose to rev diesel rpms that high especially before the oil temp rises to operating temperature on your "Cold start" How cold was it anyways?
