How do you do the circuits for the LEDs? I mean, besides hooking them up to the power supply, you need to also build some sort of circuit board to control the the flickering of the lights. Did you do that yourself, or did you buy something for it?

It's pretty nice, I'd want to have some sort of similar LED light system in my basement, too.

Nearly ALL LED RGB lighting like this is controlled via DMX. The DMX controller can be the traditional light board you see in a theater, or it can be controlled via a serial or USB interface of a laptop or desktop. Still, details on the controller used for this application would be very nice.
