At 2:39 in, you reached up and changed something, and the sound became much more full and mellow. What did you change? That made all the difference in the world to me. It really helps to hear this, as I'm considering the FP-4. Just hadn't planned on spending quite this much...
specifically at 2:39 I changed the type of piano [From some bright piano to the basic grand piano] and activated the equalizer, which I set up from ahead. U can hear yourself the effect.
As you probably read, I do recommend the FP-4.
[I also looked for something cheaper,. but couldn't find anything that pleased me...]
I'll do that :) Now I'm only waiting for more videos with some Rhodes sounds and piano/el.piano layered with strings, choirs and pads :) Thanks for help :)
I actually thinking about FP-7, but the sounds are the same :) I heard FP-4 and FP-7 side by side only by a moment and FP-7 have better speakers sound especially on lower notes, bigger and words (if I can say that ;) ) display, easier to use by a newbie :) Audio Key function could be a nice fun feature too :) I never play piano but I always want to have one. I'm 24 now but I want to learn playing piano - I don't want to be a star ;) But want to have fun of it, just that :)
I always think about synthesizer but fell of synth keys isn't for me. Keys need to be full - not flat and weighted like in real piano to get that fell for me :) And of course most of the sound of synthesizer is totally not usefull for me, I'm thinking that better is have a less, but more usefull, better, full sounds than the 1000 or more but maybe 100 of them you can really use - of course it depends of music style that you playing but I'm not a fan of cosmic techno or heavy metal sounds :)
I played both the FP-4 an the FP-7, and I found out that when you set up the EQUALIZER correctly, it doesn't fall from the FP-7, and not even from the RD-700SX.
It's keyboard is still not perfect, but it's the same as the FP-7. If you look for the best there is, you need an acoustic piano. but that's a problem.
However, I decided that the FP-4 is the best return-for-your-money. The FP-7 is more expensive, but not very different.
If you'd like, give me your MSN Messenger address in a private message. I'd love to help.
:) I don't use MSN Messenger but thanks, if I will have a question I write to you PM :) I did't decide yet to buy anything, but I'm tkinking about it from some longer time. Earlier I was tkinking about USB MIDI controller for start but they don't have that feel, maybe I'm weird :D but piano need to have that "feel" :)
Hmmm, maybe you can setup FP-4 with EQ to sound more like FP-7 but they won't be the same, FP-7 got 5W more power on output and speaker box but it's not that big diffrence.
When I was at music center saler says me that FP-7 have more possible setup than FP-4 with foot controlers - you can setup rotary speed change on foot and even pitch bend on foot controler too, is that possible on FP-4?
is this through the internal speakers?

I can tell you this:
I'm a pianist for years. I am quite new to composing, but I know a few pianos.
I checked out a million Electric pianos before buying, because I knew I must have the best one there is in my budget.

All you mentioned are possible.
In most of the settings, you don't really need the extra settings of the 7.
I'd offer you to compare their manuals.
