I just see too many logical explanations for things that people see as conspiracy.
Jim Jones knew a guy who was CIA, my cousin was married to a CSIS guy for a decade and I knew him, never knew that he was CSIS, though.
An agricultural project would have no problem getting potassium cyanide for insecticide.
A satellite medical clinic would have no problem getting syringes and drugs.
I think the CIA covered a lot of it up because they were ashamed that they HADN'T thought of it.
