i know someone whos selling those pick ups (fenders custum 50's) for 130, brand new, i just need to get a body and a neck i guess? how you do that? lol
All Parts from Japan are great, I just finished my Strat with a Strat body with flame maple top in purple for the same price, the sound is incredible.
Hi, good videos, congrats. You said in the other video MIJ exports are not so good, but I heard, they´re still very good, what do you think? I was thinking about buying this guitar in my area, it´s a Fender Strat MIJ, from the 80´s. I´d prefer it without Floyd Rose, but it has FR. Does the FR affect the sound too much? Anyway, can we change to regular Fender or Wilkinson bridge if we want?
yeah im really not that good at electric yet, i started out playing acoustic about 6 years ago and have pretty much taught myself. had a few lessons for theory stuff hear and there, learning a few things from people i know yeah. yeah it's all improv too. -- NA
Just a general note, I'm doing these videos for people who are interested in the guitar. I don't care if my playing is shit, I'm still very much a learner of electric guitar myself after starting out acoustically. So the next time I get some fat 35 year old burnout on here telling me I'm crap, I'm just gonna block their fat asses lol :)
For the rest of you who have something constructive to say, thankyou for your feedback, and I hope you're all doing well.
the japanese stratocaster models were made from early 80's to late 80's they were a atempt to bring back the quality to the strat sales were declining do to poor quality that was lost in the 70's. when the fender engeniers and excecutives toured the japanese factory in the early 80's they all almost cryed like babys because they were built so good . the standard usa strat retials today for altleast 1000 $ is based on the same quality there a worth big bucks
Is that a cod piece?

What year is that MIJ strat? Did you buy on web?
Alder or Basswood body? Have a chance to buy 93 62 Clollectible series Japan Strat..but Basswood body should I even care?
shineonprickley1975 3 years ago
I have a 95-built reissue 62.
It really sounds different from an american strat.
It does not mean it is worse. Just different.
I love it!

you would have to fill the holes from the FR pivot studs and even if you did it might have a cavity for the trem making it harder to do that
new paints wood filler hard work
