My Dad put a loaf of garlic bread wrapped in tin foil in the microwave. He said he saw the tin foil on mythbusters, and all it did was spark... Ours caught on fire (the tin foil) As for the worst thing... I put a cup of Mr. Noodles in, and forgot to take off the plastic, which means there was also no water in it. I went to set it for 2 mins... Turns out it was really twenty. When I went in the kitchen the inside of the microwave was in flames, and the door had popped open... I was like 6 then :P
