There are many complicated issues that plague humanity, just because one is more important does not mean others should be ignored. There's a lot of space to cover and a lot of issues to tackle. One should still donate to needy human beings if they are wealthy, despite their own government having a large number of flaws. If you don't mind me asking, are you a vegetarian?
@Discordia5 While that may be the case, shouldn't we be addressing issues that are more pertinent to other issues? What I mean is, yes, world hunger is a big issue, and 70% of our grain goes to industrialized farming. Imagine how developing countries could benefit if we donated 70% of our grain to them, rather than wasting it on a sick and pointless practice. Factory farming isn't just an animal rights issue, it's an environmental issue, health issue, economics issue, and a world hunger issue
@Discordia5 and lolyes, I am agreeing with you. Also I am a vegetarian, but mostly for health reasons. Eating meat is fine ethically, so long as it comes from a decent source (i.e. small, local family farms).
@Discordia5 Ultimately what bugs me is that environmental activism is becoming a pretty trendy and popular cause, yet the BIG issues, the things that REALLY impact the environment are being ignored (industrialized farming being one of them). It makes it seem as if all the hubbub is less about the cause, and more about the image. Buying biodegradable pencils while continuing to pay factory farms to ravage lands and resources seems a little silly.

I typically think compassion should take precedence over other issues when making decisions, but there is not a possible practical method for transporting and distributing food regularly to the entire world, especially without making them dependent upon it. @BreyerCrazy1000 He reversed a ban that was introduced 3 years ago. The only reason they need to slaughter horses is because there are too many of them. If you want someone to blame, blame Derby racing for producing excess horses when they do not have homes after a short racing career. Unfortunately, SOMETHING has to be done with all their "leftover" racers. Do you eat meat other than horses? At least they're not breeding horses just for food.
