what a beautiful song, and what a classy band. did anyone notice that mick doesn't seem to even see what happened?? he just kept on playing and not even looking, neither did john. lindsey and stevie handled it so well, she is hilarious and they are one class act. i bet the many years of experience helps too. they are the best, been my favorite for 34 years. my kids love them too, they've grown up listening to fleetwood mac.
I timed that guy climbing up on the stage. He got to L. 1st,then S. & put his hand on her & she's looking at him in confusion. He stood by her WAY too long! 4:28-4:37 He could've knifed them 6 or 7 times before their useless security FINALLY got there. You guys dont realise how serious this is.That guy was there10 seconds b4 security grabbed him, then 8 more seconds to get him off of the stage.S.said he was only trying to dance w/her.Anyone remember John Lennon etc?Buy real security.FM can afford it
F.M.'s security SUCKS! That guy could've had a knife! Stevie may have been nice about his "Gentle Touch",but we've lost too many of our artists from nuts getting too close to them.F.M.needs to lay down the law w/their security,or fire the bastards! They're not fast enough! He never should've made it onto that stage,PERIOD!! S & L will be ghosts if they dont start paying for some real security. That was'nt cool at all.WAKE UP!! Sorry, but truth is truth. We wanna keep you with us!That pisses me off!
"I thought there was a ghost standing behind me". Haha she's so great. I think no matter how many times something like that might happen, that must be really scary. You have no idea what they're going to do. Stevie handled it so gracefully though. Good for her.
Well, actually, if she thought it was a ghost, I guess there wasn't much worry about his intentions...
@ScottT248 was thinking the exact same thing..a class act..no one got bent outa shape..I cant make out all she says after the performance but it must have been funny...
I want so very much to believe that... But after reading Storms by his ex Carol Harris (or whatever her name is), I'm thinking maybe he didn't really want her after they joined FM. But, it's a nicer story to believe he wished she was his & she wished he was hers... ;)
HA. "He was almost part of the band for a moment." I love it. Personally, I would've given her a big hug, I mean.. .you're already there... Maybe sing along.
Stevie, Lindsay's and the rest of the bands reacation was amazing. I suppose that comes with experience and time. It could have gone so many ways with the guy on stage. I have to say Stevie's comments were hilarious - she really diffused a situation.
i give that guy alot of credit. i mean if i had aneough courage to to that, i would. ! stevie is such a nice person, when i met her she was so warm & welcoming. so i think that even if the guy stayed up there, show wouldnt have minded. =D .
i saw fleetwood mac at earls court...when stevie nicks started singing beautiful child it brought a lump to my throat. some people on the tube afterwards were moaning f.mac didn,t do do enough new songs....give me songs like this anyday.
I love this song one of my favorite and I was enjoying it up until the guy and I couldn't stop laughing. It is just so random moment, and what makes it even better is the band never missed a beat and that is what makes even funnier.
It is amazing that they didn't stop. You can't help but wonder WHAT is going on in the heads of people that do things like this.
I was at a FM concert several years ago... same thing happened!!!! Different song... and I don't remember which song it was but I remember Stevie Nicks saying, ".... No one is suppose to be on stage but the band."
I just love Stevie. I've been a fan since I was 13. I'm now 44. And she was so cool the way she handled the situation. The guy shouldn't have done that but he meant no harm. He was just an over-zealous fan. Anyway, rock on, Stevie! I'm so happy that you still perform.
Unbelieveable!! Stevie never faltered singing and Lindsey never missed a note even when the lunatic made a grab at him. True professionals and both amazing performers. Mick seemed to have the "wtf?" look as the guy was escorted past him. LOL
i was at the hard rock seeing lindsey buckingham live at the joint and secuirty kept pushing us back till he tap on there shoulders and told them to move so we could rest are hands on the stage.
I've watched this quite a few times,Thank You!I've seen Stevie get pissed at security, yell, run off stage... OSOTM tour in CT, She told security, "DON"T F*&K WITH MY PEOPLE"! She watches them as they remove people, If they were TOO rough with this guy, She woulda went off on them.
its a beautiful heart felt song but the second time i tried to watch this and sing along i kept laughing because i couldn't get stevie's comments out of my head lol
To be fair, I think it was mostly the bouncers who nearly knocked Lindsey on his ass. They were a little bit more rough than the situaton warranted, but then they always are.
Speaking of glass, NASA has to bring the Hubble telescope out of orbit every 6 months so Stevie can use the lens as a pap smear. All the gunk in her destitute dick dungeon must be sorted through for days. The local sheriff's department has to drag her papsmear with nets in order to separate the contents of her cunt. Opening Stevie's twat is like cutting open a great white shark's stomach and watching all the contents spill out over the deck.
She is so professional. She didnt stop singing when the guy did that, and at the end she was quite nice about it. She is my favorite artist and for good reason. Lovely video ^_^
Agreed! What a sweetheart to have made the nice comments after the song was over. Poor Lindsey! They guy nearly knocked him over! Great footage! Thanks for posting it. Love the song even without the interruption.
Thanks for posting this video, what a beautiful song. As for the fan, I have to admit If I had the chance to hug Stevie I would probably go for it. Look at all of us when it comes to the end of the show just trying to touch her hand. I thought the guy should of waited for a different song not one that is so sincere and sentimental.
I thought the band and Stevie handled it with class as always.
She should have called him back out onto the stage to introduce himself and then told him he was a bad boy and he needs to go sit in the back for a time out! LOL
I was there in the third row and saw the whole thing. At the time, it seemed like FOREVER before they got that dude off stage. Stevie had her eyes closed when he first touched her - when she opened them and saw him, her eyes got real big! I remember thinking, that a-hole better not do anything stupid.
She says, I thought there was a ghost standing behind me. Whoever that was I want you to know that he had a very soft gentle touch, he was not...he was almost part of the band for a minute"
Thanks for that - much appreciated! Stevie's such a cool woman. I had the absolute priveledge of securing a possy 3 feet from her at her concert in Christchurch a couple of years ago. Something I won't ever forget...
Why does he have a mental problem, because he got a little over-excited? I know a lot of people who would jump on stage for the thrill of it. Granted, its a bit out of order to do that during a song, but it seems basically innocent.
Stevie does a professional job with her music and is very professional when it comes to crazed fans. Poor Lindsey and Stevie both looked shocked. I think Lindsey was ready to make the crazed fan "into a ghost". Hats off to the both of them and well done to the band, that crazed fan scared the crickies out of me. Thanks for posting this video, it's such a beautiful song...so peaceful...that is until the crazed fan jumps onto the stage.
I love how calm stevie was during this. I guess she is used to this sort of thing. I love how she talks about it afterwards and makes a joke about it. She could have been mean and freaked out, but she did not. The band did not stop playing just kept on going, this is a sign of a compassionate band who has alot of experience.
