@Katoom144sx meshuggah hasnt used power chords since like 95, the majority of there style is single note riffs, and the songs arrangements are very interesting in how they cycle parts, steering away from the standard 4 or 8 bar measure than repeat style that is how 90 percent of music is written today. The use cycling oddtimed riffsovera pulse and extending measures, and not necessarily reapeating things 2, 4 or 8 times but having it still sound organic and fluid is what makes them so awsome!

@batteryacidcake no shit, like i didnt know that, you do know that polyrhythms just means two rhythms at once, i was more so talking more about polymeters, because of the different lengths of their phrases and the odd groupings that they put into there arrangements, the only reason I can see polyrhythms coming into play is that the fit everything over a 4/4 beat which is only a piece of the magic..
