@kavrera1972 Nahh real heavy metal still existed. The problem is finding it. People seem to only listen to stuff the media spoon feeds them. Try to find a local club where heavy metal acts play (they do exist), find a local band and support them. Without enough support these bands never will be played. You will find that metal lives, there are some really great acts out there you cant just let the media feed you what they call "rock". Keep active on myspace too, great place to find bands.

i admit that the SOLA album is not totally awful (not like new tattoo was, anyway), but when nikki writes now he uses a writing partner, trying to make the songs more technical, which he just isnt very good at. the only time he wrote anything even remotely musically intricate was with corabi on the motley album, and most of that was crab writing, and that was an awesome album (but not really a motley crue album).

hey i know. thats why i love the early crue albums. they are awesome. the crue are (or were) the greatest band on the planet.

they are a bit of a parody of themselves now, and nothing like as cool and awesome as they were back in the day, when i grew up listening to them.

i even saw them in 91, not long before they fired vince, and they were fucking loads better than this awful noise, and with lots fewer backing tracks and effects.

and vince could still sing full songs
