The style of the current Astons is cool enough to forget most of the car's flaws, not that there are a lot. The Carbon Black DBS is my favorite flavor but the V8 Vantage is excellent as well.

911 Turbo is cheaper, more practical and faster than the Aston. Given the choice, I'd take the Aston any day of the week. The sound, the looks, the exclusivity. AM V8 Vantage.. my dream car.

The exhaust system in the vantage has a valve that opens at about 5000rpm, releasing those extra decibels... As we know, Astons are custom made, so you can get the valve taken out if you want the noise all the time (I think I would do that, if I could buy the car, but im only 19 so... baah), or you could get it fixed there. Still. the sound is so amazing... once you hear it live, you dont want anything else... its an amazing car. Overprized, but great

you dont need to take the valve out, there is a fuse in the fuse box in the boot, removed fuse 22 and the valve stays open at all times. We have done that with ours :)

ahaha it is a great car and it would cope perfectly with everyday use. cant fault it really apart from 8mpg when thrashed aha. btw just incase i cause any confusion we have a standard 4.3 AMV8, not the prodrive version.

Common misconception. Average rainfall here is 45 inches meaning we're no wetter than half the US. We're also drier than Alabama, South Carolina, Alaska, Florida and others in the south, each of which sees 20% more rain than we do. In any case, challenging roads here are why cars like the Z06 were advertised to their home market as being "honed in Europe". As for gas prices, you guys are about to tip $3 per gallon AND you get sucky mileage -- think you'll find most of us feeling sorry for you.

I agree. I was just responding to ThwartedEfforts' misconception about US cars getting bad mileage by pionting out that my Z06 gets better mileage than the Aston. Astons and Jags and TVRs and cool as hell. I wish TVR would import to the US. I have never even seen one in person.
