  • best song ever

  • Ya just don't get music like this anymo

  • This is such an amazing song. Two greats together = eargasmic.

  • This is great! Our band recently started playing Rockin in the Free World. We just put a live video up on our page.

  • This song is why I support piracy. I dont mind stealing bread from Hollywood and rich rockstars.

  • This is one jammin' tune. What a collaboration of voices and talent. TY for posting it.

  • playing on the beach with no outlets. HMMMMMM.

  • damn I love this song! Reminds me being 21 in Hawaii and California. ;)

  • 1 great voice eddie's

  • Everyone knows this collaboration was a tribute to Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone, right?

  • @LedZeppelin2055 I know that I do, anyways. Andy was awesome.

  • sp''''One of the best hits here

  • wow.... wyf one thehits here? People just don't know good music anymore...

  • LOVE THIS SONG HE PUTS ALOT OF EMOTION IN HIS MUSCI

  • Goosebumps when Eddie kicks in. Every. Time.

  • (pointing to my chest) MUSIC YOU FEEL HERE!!

  • Agreed two great voices!

  • im totally against marriage and i think its bullshit, but i would deffinitely marry eddie vedder.

  • Good tune. I think I was around like 16 or 17 when this came out. There is indeed a little more meaning to the lyrics than the words alone.

  • If you guys are fans of PJ, Soundgarden or the 90's Seattle music scene and you have Netflix, watch Pearl Jam Twenty. I almost forgot how much I liked this type of music. Outstanding rockumentry by Cameron Crowe.

  • 7 people went hungry

  • somebody give this nigga a sandwich... he is muthfuckin hungry... he is high n he dont give a fuck about stealin shit outta hoes mouths... he dosent feed on the powerless though.....

  • One of the best

  • great music!! two great singers!!!! yeah

  • man Chris is HOT - I wish he kept his hair like this ♥

  • man the oil man that fell from the syk really hurt the ocean i hope chris and chris and pull it togateher for the end of the world ye haw oil man oil man what is this the web darn it i was milking it because im going hungrey ya

  • The birth of PJ ...Thanks for all your help Chris!

  • @rekkof andy wood was from cocaine then it was this while they were making pearl jam

  • Man its really special when you put two voices like chris cornell and eddie vedder together! wow is all I can really say...this song is special and i hope that the younger generation can appreciate this kind of vocal performance!

  • @upperdeckable I'm fourteen years old and i love temple of the dog and I realy appreciate grunge music, like pearl jam, alice in chains, soundgarden etc. (:

  • @MsNombres when i was 14 i was didging old school music too but the was doors jimi etc now im 31 looking back at what was going on then i lived in great time for great music

  • @upperdeckable So true! The kids these days DO NOT know what REAL music is. THIS is real music. It's no wonder musicians can't make music like this anymore...because they can't top the best!!! No way will music ever be this good ever again.... I love this song so much.

  • 1 of the best vocal performances ever

  • Maybe--I'm not sure. I'm not on Facebook so I can't say. All I know is sympathy without action leaves one impotent.

  • 7 ppl have no soul or heart--they've never been hungry. Hope they never go homeless. Bastards.

  • @sweetgypsy100 True, why would there be dislikes on this. It's not bout music tastes. It about humanity.

  • @1mouse69 -- Very true, girlfriend...not much humanity left in this tired old world I guess...hope 2012 turns things around.

  • @sweetgypsy100 I hope so too. I dont know why there are selfish millionaire/billionaires and starving. This is where I dont believe in karma. There is no balance and people specially children are dying in their mothers arms due to lack of food...... :(.. I wish for christmas 2011 nothing but aide for the starving and homeless.

  • @1mouse69 -- Couldn't of said it better myself, sister! There are many things we aren't meant to understand--I pray balance & harmony will one day rule. If things including food & shelter were distributed equally through out the world then hunger & homelessness would be gone. Jesus was a man that had "Robin Hood" thinking..."All for one & one for All"--I share this belief...the rich are only truly rich when they share what they have.

  • @1mouse69 -- Could u imagine the food that could be bought with the gold Silver that are used to decorate churches?? Think about it...

  • @sweetgypsy100 So true!!! so all those peeps on facebook doing cyber 'causes', whar is REALLY being done, most who do causes are religous. Is it a wall for their concience?!!

  • i love this song it makes me tear everytime i listen to it , i dont know why tho ????

  • Such a powerful song, this one brought tears to my eyes thinking of all those hungry homeless people I see everyday.

  • @raphater2000 -- Amen...powerful words in this classic.

  • <3 them, and alwayz will.

  • Man grunge was such a huge part of my life....it still is...but I miss my teenage years so much when I hear this song

  • Me and Chris Cornell have the same birthday, woooo <3 sexy man

  • you know one thing i hate about our government? Were sending food and water to hati and japan when i can look out my door and see a homless man thats probly almost starving to death...shouldnt we take care of our own first? New Orleans STILL isnt rebuilt. how can you build a nation with no foundation....this song always reminds me of the homeless people i see on the streets.

  • @weezer619 If you have a guy outside your window starving to death, give him some goddamn food.

  • @weezer619 Then tell that guy to get a JOB.

  • Six people are too young to remember the 90s.

  • Seattles best!

  • this is one of those songs you can't listen to just once...

  • @ACHEESEDANISH00 sorry, what did you say?

i just died inside for a minute there.

  • @bdawgmarsdin hes implying u have to listen to this song more than once.

  • Guys just dont look like eddie vedder anymore :'(

  • @starfilms01 Yeaaah... Guys need to grow their hair out xD But eddie will always be one of a kind

  • @RAWRxItzReggie thats so the truth :-) lol

  • @starfilms01 i do

  • @starfilms01 Thank GOD!

  • @starfilms01

    Yes we do ;)

  • @starfilms01 i know! i hate it ):

  • @starfilms01 those were the days.

  • great music.love it yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Music ..awesome ! Lyrics ....eh !

  • Damm i love this !

  • questa musica mi manca da morire....

  • Wow I liked this song so much more before I saw the video!

  • This is one of those kinda songs you don't actually hear, but feel... Truely a masterpiece!

  • Amazing the 1st time I heard it in the 90s and still so.

  • temple of the dog is all andy wood could have wished for in a tribute. greatest grunge album.

  • Decadence is a great word

  • pearl jam was right to move on.... great song, only decent 1 from temple thx of course to eddie, much grunt-yier voice and subtle (at the same time) and just soundz better :)

  • awesome combination of voices

  • Man its been awhile since ive heard this....Love to crank it up as loud as it goes and listen to Cornell scream out...awesome

  • Ahhh the great northwest with its Scotchbroom, grey skies and beaches. Sound Garden's music was/in incredible....listen to those two men sing...

Yeah I agree the PJ 20 movie was incredible...it really filled me up with happiness, there wasn't any darkness about it at all...I googled Eddie Vedder's net worth...just to see...$80 million..He cranks out songs by The Who as if they were his own.

  • I wanna be on that beach..while they play this

  • What a tribute for Andy Wood!!!

    Love this song, love grunge!!!

  • a song for the music history book...fantastic :-)

  • PJ20 when Stone was like "man, our singer can sing too." Awesome.

  • @chadem311 I saw that too!! no matter what these fools today think...one of the most unique voices ever

  • Temple of the Dog: That's the definition of a superband...

  • Vi nuevamente el documental de PJ20 y este tema me encanto!!! descubri algo nuevo, la amistad es lo que los unio como banda...

  • no description available (not necessary)

  • OMG seeing the meaning behind this in PJ20 just made this song even more awesome!!!!!!

  • 4 people have never had sex for there ears!

  • @AshleyAshleee they are now 6 ,2 others joined

  • ...really makes you wonder what happened to music today.

  • vai toma no cú... esse som eh do karalho d +++

  • INSANE ! This brings memories...so unbelivable ! Love it

  • I'm not going to be the fifth dick...

  • THIS IS A GOOD VID TO WATCH TO SEE HOW HORRIBLE THE "Faux grunge" faze was for us "gen x'ers," especially musiicans, i mean, this is just horrible. The Melvins are from Seattle and still play grunge

  • @bobethe Are you fucking kidding me? Are you calling Pearl Jam and Soundgarden horrible? Who gives a shit where bands are from, good music is good music, even if its from the fucking moon. Obviously you wouldn't know good music it ran up and kicked you in the dick.

  • great part of history..., mine too....

greetings from Poland for all of You !

  • magic...their voices sound amazing together.

  • you and Chris rock the house do more pretty please both your bands kick sweet spoons so cool and I love the last song from eat pray LOVE jILLIAN

  • Better then pear Jam

  • @badeldorado Idk about that

  • Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell have the two best voices in rock history. Along with Brandon Boyd.

  • yet noone mentions chris cornells amazing vocals, not to mention his amazing band soundgarden...

Vedder looks possesed in this video

  • i went on a hunger strike once, i lost soo much weight, almost wound up in a hospital got home from the hospital, turned my radio onto the local rock station, and behold, they were playing this song, i fell in love with it ever since

  • IM GOING HUNGRYYEEEAHHHHHHHH!!

  • travelling willburys FTW or tracy guns and axl rose ?

  • travelling willburys FTW

  • WOW youtube POLICE are out in force today NOTHING BETTER TO DO BOYS THAN TO BUST MY BALLS..

  • wtf is cc doing to his guitar? it's not even plugged in. calm down man

  • i don't mind feeling frogs

  • i love the 90's

  • This song blew my mind when it came out and still blows my mind today. Timeless classic!

  • Damn, I wish egos and shit didn't get in the way and this band could have stayed together and blew minds all over the world to this day.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz I dont know what part of your imagination gave you that idea, but this band was to honor Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood, nothing else

  • @Ekyvvsaq i think he was referring to their not making more music.

  • @MnMz4L1F3 okay i dont remember what I wrote, but this was a tribute album for Andy Wood, so temple of the dog wont make more music together...Andy cant die again and I dont want him too,,,- We could just hope that Pearl Jam and Soundgarden will collaborate for other reasons in the future... hopefully less tragic ones =)

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz wat happend exactly.... i still dnt know

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz Actually, this was a one off tribute to the late singer of Mother Love Bone Andrew Wood. Cornell was already in Soundgarden when TofD was started. It would've been foolish if he kept it going.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz start your own!!..........a tree never lives forever.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz they never broke up, they're still together

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz hello there, read a litle about grunge history Please :) this reunion/band was made to honour Andrew from Mother Love Bone, there was no intencion on keep on going with this band.....but from this Pearl Jam was born...Peace!

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz lol, all the lives that would be changed if both cornell and vedder stayed together, what would life be like today.....such a wonder.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz Temple of the Dog never broke up because they were never a "band". Cornell wrote these songs as a tribue to Andy. He invited the former members of Andys band mother love bone to record them with him. Cornell didn't have to do that, it was out of love and respect... no egos anywhere.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz Temple Of The Dog wasn't meant to be a long band. They were only together to do a tribute to their friend Andy, who was one of their past bands, because he died of an overdose. Atleast that's what I read.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz Yeah bro like totally

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz

not only was Temple of the dog a tribute to andy wood (listen to the song man of golden words) but soundgarden was still going strong and the reason eddie vedder was in seattle was because he was joining the former mother love bone's new project: PEARLJAM

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz The reason that this band didn't carry on has nothing to do with egos though. It was meant to be just one album in memory of Andy Wood. But you have a point, these guys created magic together, and more albums would have been epic.

  • soundgarden and pearl jam are 2 grate bands this is a grate song i love it

  • Its time for a second album.

  • open a new tab search youtube for "rainy mood" and play it together with this song here.

  • Minha música favorita deles !!!!

  • jesus christ cornell can hit those high notes

  • Pj20 I heard this. Greatest time of my life

  • 2 best rock singers ever. Also, where are the Amps on the beach?!

  • I love the song and always have. I find it bizarro that they'd make a video of them on the beach playing music. If I saw a drummer playing on the beach, I'd think he was nuts.

  • 1:13 looks like eddie's gettin it in down low... wouldnt doubt it

  • 3 dislikes? really? how rude.

  • @MrRichieRichieRichie they are emo fans don't worry about that 3 dislikes

  • EXCELENTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This has always been LOUDER THAN LOVE mother fuckers and so am I. In an Inlovedness in the Sound From All Eternity Before Until All Sound In Eternity Was Never Before This Moment Better And In An Inlovedness With Almighty God I Know No Sound In Eternity And Beyond Ever Will Be Better Than The Sound From This Moment In Temple Ever To Be. pariah93

  • I went to the PJ20 concert in Hamilton, On. It was amazing, they played for 2.4hours and they did this song. Awesome, just listen to the lyrics, makes me weep.

  • buenisimoooooooooooooooooooooo

  • has anyone seen the 9/3/11 PJ alpine show where chris showed up and they did this song...20 years later and they still sound fantastic!!!!

  • Peral Jam and Sound Garden were bigger than the Grunge scene man... they had a sound that was there and then some.

  • I could cut myself on the pices for their hairs, Criss I love you !!!

  • good ol days

  • E P I C

    Two fanta-singers!

  • my butts on the table

  • Thank God I grew up with this.

  • PJ should take Cris and reactive this project!!!

  • Awesome combination!!!

  • punk came after 70s rock...grunge came as a result of the 80s bullshit music...and so the cycle continues...............

  • good me likey

  • 36-er @jdsun1

Respect bro. Same age, same music, life is more or less the same.

Our generation where different. Its not good and not bad.

We went through a lot of things. Those things makes us different.

Makes different and us and our music

  • HELL YES! This is real music people. Today's music scene is rotting away with gangrenous, prefabricated pop bullshit music made by "artists" who actually don't have much talent at all. It's all post-production smoke and mirrors.

  • The Best!!!!!

  • PERFECT!!!

  • duas grandes bandas do grunge

  • This was one of those 'lightening strikes' moments.

  • Epic song

  • both bands are fucking amazing !!

  • CHRIS & EDDIE W@ PARTNERSHIP MAKES GRUNGE
