I don't know if you find out already how to apply blur to faces & objects on Studio 12 but just in case this is how you do it

Open the "ADD EFFECTS" menu screen w the video selected in the 'Time Line'. Then search for the effect called 'Blur' & add it to the footage you have selected. Then on the new adjustment screen adjust where you want the blur to be applied. Note that you can add blur to the whole screen of the video or adjust it to just the area you want. Select keyframes if necessary

Try After Effects. That's more along the lines of "State of the art". I'm simply trying to help people who want a program for these kind of things, who can't afford $549 worth of Vegas Pro 8, or $999 for After Effects CS4, and doesn't want to steal them with torrents.

That was so Studio Ultimate though, and that was when it was new. There is a studio 12 now, so it will probably be cheaper.

in response to the question posed at 52 seconds, i am in agreement that it resembles a banana, but the middle portion could be thicker and the end/ stalk could be black, and perhaps have brown parts on the main area depending on how ripe it is

The only problem that could occur would be that I would have a large amount of color control issues when it comes to editing a giant parentheses. I believe it is very possible, but I'm afraid much, much more scientific study and Photoshop come into play. That is a venture I might be willing to take...

Could you tell me how to do the fade in? That might be useful once I get my 10' x 15' green screen. Too bad my basement is only 6 feet tall so I cant zoom out much. And also, do you know how to use two different green screen effects at the same time? I.E. a green screen with a stary picture and blue paper, both projecting different fill-ins

You can fade in and out a variety of effects by using the keyframe function, this enables you to decide when an effect such as slo mo starts and finishes within a clip, no need to cut.

You can use keyframing, but its much more complicated to do then just cutting the clip.

Although keyframing allows more control of the slowing effect. Such as if you want to start at one point and start slowing it down, then picking another part of the clip and keyframe it at a speed lower than the first keyframing. Then the program will slow it down a little more every second until it reaches the spot you choose for the slowest speed

It depends on what your saying man. If you want to slow down one part of a clip, the only way to do it is to choose where to cut the clip. You can get to the general area you want to be at and then use the next frame buttons to select exactly where to start the slowed down effect. Then just cut the clip using the same method. So if you want to slow down 1 second of film just cut the clip, use the next frame button and cut it again. then slow that clip down.

Yeah, Its really simple. All you have to do is select where you want the speed change to start, then use the razor blade symbol to cut the video there. Choose where to stop and cut it there as well. Now just use the speed effect on the section you cut out. Understand?

A lot of the glitches a crashing problems past pinnacles aren't there anymore. Most of the "Crashing glitches" are just from not having a computer that is powerful enough to operate the program properly.

Well, green screen involves recording the people in front of the green screen, recording the background, then overlaying them with a chroma-key tool built in to pinnacle. Now, I don't have any experience with Pinnacle 8, so Im not sure if you can or not. if u would, look around on the tools or Pinnacle 8 and see if you can find a tool call chroma-key and tell me what u can come up with

there are two tracks, the Main Video Track and the PiP track. You can lock the PiP Track so it stays, or leave it so it isn't visible unless being used. But to make it visible, simply drag a clip from the selection menu to the timeline and release the clip on the space right under the video track. It should make the PiP track appear

i have had this problem before, I believe that actually happened to one of my videos, at the end of "the unsponsored skater" you can notice that i heard the sound before the table flips, this is most likely your computer. It will help if you can tell me how much RAM and what kind of Processor your computer has. Let me ask, have you ever booted up pinnacle and when trying to playback video, it appears to flicker as if some of the frames are missing from the video?

Don't worry man, I won't. RAM is Random Access Memory. If you find the box it came in it should tell you how much RAM it has in the manual or on the description of the machine on the side of the box. I believe that when I have this problem I restart the program and copy the video back onto the timeline. You could try this and see if it works, and try to find the box it came in and give me its specs. so I know what Im dealing with

yes, it is possible to use anything of one solid color, form, material, or even any color. you could paint a wall green and it would work too. if you painted it blue, it would work, anything of any color will work.

If you need to change colors, there is a eyedropper tool that allows you to pick any part of a video scene, and use that color. As for Material, you could use a painted wall, like meteorologists, or even a giant wall of construction paper. The main problem you could have with the green screen is fuzzy distortion in certain parts, which is caused by not enough lighting.

the main problem with the green screen in my vid is not enough lighting on the bottom edge, it would work better if I had done it outside in the light, it would have been even lighting, therefore a better outcome. But yes, construction paper should work fine.

I would love to run ProDaD and Vitascene, but I will be unable to utilize those programs until I am able to purchase a upgraded graphics card, as mine at the moment is incapable of handling the graphics and detail.

When I get free time, I will create a demo for the effects, starting with the blur effect as you have asked for. Though it requires a little work, and you can only add one blur at a time without making it into a video clip and editing the clip you just made, it is relatively more effortable compared to purchasing a 1000 dollar program just for a tracker to blur faces. Give me a little time and I will post a demonstration
