hate the Beatles. love george harrison. i'm sure this comment will get me plenty of death threats. but i feel like the Beatles were the most overrated and george was the most underrated.
you see, it is weak and ineffectual screwballs like yourself who
allow street gang drug violence and world wars to go on and on and on
by pretending your blown kisses to them will usher in the peace and
love that is missing out of their life. you go right on living with your blinders and earplugs...unitl one day the great Evil shows up at your door and there goes your head. even George was stabbed.
george stated in an interview he believed Joh was an angel ..they all out grew the animosity and loved each other ...isnt it a pity that people still argue .love is all you need
This song makes me cry. I heard it for frist time in 1979, in a acetato disc (45rpm), in 1980 I worked in a rockola factory, and one day, I set the disc and hear this song, I "closet myself" and only heard his voice and music... and cried. Sorry my english.
In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
its sad- he played this with the Beatles during the Let it be sessions- yet none of the other 3 got the point- the song was about the Beatles arguing and increased tension- ultimately stuff contributing to the breakup of the band. during the let it be seesions u can hear paul say "it's a good song, really"--which is impresive coming from paul
@4FabBEATLES Well, what could it had been then, if George Martin produced the "Let It Be" album, and this song was on it, with "Old Brown Shoe", "Dont Let Me Down", etc.? It is really a pity that it wasn´t Martin that produced this album, he really understood the sound of the band, and he was trained as a classical musician, so he had the skills to translate the music into something classical. It was so many sad things that happened during the break up of The Beatles.
@mochris100 look closely though and you find its screwball John who fucked it all up really. he was too far out there on acid and rebellion and just being a put- your-foot-in-your-mouth asshole. bringing in Allen Klein as manager and that goofball Magic Alex and then creating more tension by bringing Yoko into the recording studio. and just being a fucking know-it-all. and he don't mind me saying this as he come to me in dream and said it was okay to 'cause now he can look back and see it to.
@milesmuhldoon1 You should watch your mouth asshole. John Lennon is awesome anyway , anyhow , anytime!! It was his life and really none of your business. You seem like a person who needs to listen more and talk less.
@milesmuhldoon1 Hey, theres peace beyond that anger, look beyond it friend. Listen to the song and see if you really agree with it, if you did, there would be no need for that outrage.
@milesmuhldoon1 A naive lost soul is not what I am, but what I have snapped out of. I am not going to reply again if you reply to this, I have stated what I wanted to state and that is all.
@milesmuhldoon1 Listen to Harrison's "All Those Years Ago"...I don't think he would like the things you just said about John...Have a listen to what he says--You know that whole song is about John, btw--and then get back to me. :) Peace and Love! :)
@milesmuhldoon1 Listen to Harrison's "All Those Years Ago"--I don't think he would appreciate the way you just spoke of John--and that whole song is about John, btw--Have a listen to it and get back to me...PEACE and LOVE, bro... :)
@milesmuhldoon1 Alright, its over with now, talking about John in a rude manner is'nt going to bring him back so you can badmouth him some more. Listen to the song that George has left for us to hear and forgive John.
Unfortunately, Georges lyrics were more "Prophetic", than his "music". That's why he was "undermined", as a contributor to many of the "original Beatles" albums.
Fortunately, he got a chance to "express himself", when he ventured out on his own.
You were more Indian than Indians george.namaste brother, you saw the great Light of him....isnt he beautiful?? the Light that holds all and is full of love. Seek him with pure intent and He shall reveal Himself within you.
our George was very sweet, sexy , deep...but he was also very funny ! in his book " I,Me, Mine" the paper these lyrics were written on said--isnt it a pygmy ! haha
Thanks Chrissie644 for posting it, although I got my copy long time ago I'm glad to listen it again and again. Thanks George for your music, we were privileged to listen it...
chaque fois que j'ecoute cette chanson , j'ai la chair de poule et les larmes aux yeux! quelle revanche sur les deux autres beatles! la plus belle chanson jamais écrite.
Opala491: Great taste in music. This is George's must beautiful song. Along with the album, All Things Must Pass, and any and all of the Moody Blues first 7 albums their incredibly amazing spiritual power is lost to those who don't feel the power of the fibers that join all of us in this universe. So glad to hear that there are kindred spirits out there who have the heart and compassion to feel.
i can feel music i get that felling that the whole of my body is alive and electrefied with not all music but certain music put it this way i dont need any substance to get my on a high i always get a natural high
@9mej Yeah! That is close to what the ancient greek called "Mimesis". The term means that true art mirrors life and reality as it is, it comments life or translate it, thats why it touches us all, this kind of music. It is so close to life as it can be. The greeks would had said that the beauty in this song is inspired by the gods, no joke, and therfore it is superhuman and timeless! This music is true art, it is rock n´roll made as art. Very well done. Has anyone done it better than this?
This song and The Moody Blues "Meloncholy Man" are the two best meloncholy songs I've ever heard. Both have exceptional lyrics and music that come from the soul. Peace.
This is my favorite song by George. I love the version with his son at the tribute concert. He sings "nah, nah, nah, nah,....isn't it a pity" Mocking "Hey Jude"? Anyway; this song is like so many of George's very spiritual and reflective.

Chris Martin got his inspiration for The Scientist from this very song...

paul sobrevive ya que se rodeo de buenos musicos aparte de el
ser un excelente musico.
