whoever is preforming the floor routine during the beginning had the music from black swan for there routine. (:

On bars,Liukin had late turn,leg separation all over,and EXCESSIVE bent legs.she cowboy her double front dimount,the judges never took the deduction that should be taken.Liukin also has little power and height on her vault.On beam,she connects skills with snail-speed to get less deduction.On 2007 worlds beam final, I'm very sure that she had a MAJOR wable and still won.On floor,Liukin always crosses her leg to make them look like scissors,each one should take 0.3 deduction,but NONE was taken.

i dont care what people say about her form or her dismount or anything i thought she did a great job and if they could give out 2 gold medals she would have gotten one her and he kexin are equal but its hard to realize that with the color of medals

Shawn was waycleaer on the AA on every event, Kexin, Yillin, Tweddle and Semenva way better on bars, her floor doesn't diserve a medal and I won't talk about her beam routine. She is not the best, she is good, she is an elite but no the best technician AT ALL. She is just the "former olympic gold" daughter, an russian-american SUPPOSED to represent artistry and WAY OVERSCORED ! I don't hate her at all

she did get a gold, having the same score as he kexin, it's just the olympics's regulation that she didn't get the actual medal itself. I actually think that recognisation is far more important than getting the medal itself, so i think it's enough and is more or less getting a gold already.

in my mind, they both tied, because thy both got the same score. i don't care what someone wrote in the rules for this Olympics. when the olympics were held in Atlanta, there was a tie between China and the U.S. and and they were both awarded golds ... I didn't see what the problem was with that.

I guess you could say that whatever Kexin loses in jerky kips Nastia loses in leg separations. Both had 0.1s worth of little things like kips (Kexin) and leg separations (Nastia), both had a late pirouette (Kexin before dismount, Nastia on low bar), Kexin also had a bit of a late pirouette before her stretched Jaeger, could be 0.1-0.3, Nastia had a cowboy on dismount (knees forced apart) so thats a 0.3.  How many 0.1s do they have? I'm lazy to count, they were both overscored! Sad but true.

her lines look cleaner than kexin's becausse she's tall for a gymnast. but wat kexin lacks in lines she puts in difficulty. makes me so jealous since i was stopped from continuing gumnastics because i was getting too tall and i'm only 2cm taller than liukin

She does do that, and bend her legs down past the low bar, but her release moves are so high and smooth, and he pirouttes are beautiful

Nastia had a few uncharacteristic leg seperations, but she didn't make quite as many mistakes as He Kexin did. Kexin's performance looked extremely heavy, she always had to use strength for her kips, she didn't hit her handstands, she had 1 or 2 dead hangs and she screwed up her dismount. Nastia was definitely robbed.

Nastia totally deserved gold. Yes the other girl had a very good routine but her kips were not smooth and they were choppy and because nastia is much more smooth and precise in her routine i think she definitely should have won gold.

After rewatching this ( I haven`t seen it since it aired) I can`t believe she didn`t win. Her handstands were actually held. This was one of the cleanest routines I`ve ever seen her do on bars. He Kexin is very messy with her transfers. And she muscles up on all`ve her kips. Truely I believe Nastia should have won.

I admit I was distracted by He Kexin's magnificent releases-especially her Li Ya combo-to notice that she rather muscles up her kips. I think overall Nastia's in between work, and overall quality of execution was perhaps a bit better. Kexins dismount was better executed and perhaps that made the difference with judge in the tiebreak.

And no her routine is not overscored at all, and i really do believe there should have been 2 golds.

He Kexin didn't have a better bar routine than her, i would say they both executed the same.

And look at how difficult her routine is!

I would like to see any other gymnast in the world ATTEMPT to do her routien.

And her dismount is FREAKING AMAZING

and extremely difficult.

True that Nastia does not have the combo release move of Kexin-but He Kexin was not the 'innovator' of that release. Her countrywoman Li Ya was. It's named for Li.

@chinatheatre she did have form breaks but remember scoring wise she was just as good as kexin, she earned the gold just as much as kexin did. she got the silver and with grace despite how upsetting it much be to feel cheated out of a gold that score wise she was even with the gold medalist, she has shown herself to be greatness in the gymnastics world as the aa champion, i have respect for those other gymnasts, including kexin, who no doubt earned their medals but have the same respect back

i dont think she was overscored. her routine was worth a 17.7 and she got a 16.725....basically a full point in deductions. anything more in deductions after watching that routine would def have been underscored. that routine was def not over 1 full point in deductions
