You don't have to pay if you are low income. In my country we have a telly tax of 15€/Month but i don't have a telly because i have youtube and stagevu.

No flaw ramiharami, Michael does compare both parties to each other, both in this video and in most of the speeches he gives. At one time not that long ago, 5-6 years, he defended the democratic party more because he believes in their old core values, but that no longer exists and the democrats are the new republicans and the republicans are the bigger "corporate" party. After five operations, a year of rehab and a month in the hospital, the only direct cost to me was buying my own crutches. I was rushed to the nearest surgeon, 2hrs away, by a free ambulance, operated on Saturday night and Sunday. Doesn't sound like long lines to me.

But I like Karl Marx's idea of confiscating the means of production from the capitalist class and having the working class run everything and share in the profits to ensure a continually rising standard of living. It has worked well in China and I'm sure it is going to work well here and throughout the world.

They've all but abandoned Marxism entirely, and since they have made these reforms the economy has exploded. Marxism is more like the cultural revolution and brings the opposite of prosperity. Without private ownership, there is no private interest, no incentives to progress, and eventually, as the Soviets found out, no money.

There's nothing free market about the FDIC, or fractional reserves, or the Federal Reserve. The central bank was a key plank in the Communist Manifesto, and also played a major role in this ongoing financial crisis.

In the middle of the crisis the Bank of China did invest around half a billion dollars in Rothschild. I am not going to be a cheerleader for China but Canada also affected (although minimally due to heavier regulation than we). Fractional reserve is extremely free market as is the federal reserve (a privately run org.)
@luce67 I understand what you're saying, but neither fractional reserve nor the Federal Reserve represent free market principles. The Federal Reserve, although "private", holds a monopoly over American currency that is enforced by the state. Which makes it worse: it's kind of like the new Healthcare bill that mandates that people buy insurance from private firms. Fractional reserve would be less prevalent if not assisted so much by state power as well. Eg. the FDIC and other "security" measures.

The key word at the end there is "other people's money". We are probably in agreement that banks should not be bailed out. When they are, it is not capitalism.
Perhaps you consider capitalism to be too similar to anarchism. They are different. You need a state to uphold contracts, property rights, etc. But the state is no good at feeding, housing or banking, etc.

Great interview. How any American citizen could not love this guy is beyond me, he is the Nader of documentary film makers. No flaw ramiharami, Michael does compare both parties to each other, both in this video and in most of the speeches he gives. At one time not that long ago, 5-6 years, he defended the democratic party more because he believes in their old core values, but that no longer exists and the democrats are the new republicans and the republicans are the bigger "corporate" party. He knows the two-party system is a failure and he supported Nader in 2008 as I did.

After five operations, a year of rehab and a month in the hospital, the only direct cost to me was buying my own crutches. I was rushed to the nearest surgeon, 2hrs away, by a free ambulance, operated on Saturday night and Sunday. Doesn't sound like long lines to me.

Even as an American when I was up in Toronto for a film an American on set was hurt and had to go to trauma, get x-rays etc. As an American, her total bill was 25 loonies!!!! That's IT. We were in shock. That would have cost thousands in the US. If you ask people like you, they LIKE their national health care. wake up U.S.

Thank you for your Christian advice. This is the advice that Jesus gave to the rich man who wanted to become a Christian: to sell all his belongings and give everything to the poor.
But I like Karl Marx's idea of confiscating the means of production from the capitalist class and having the working class run everything and share in the profits to ensure a continually rising standard of living. It has worked well in China and I'm sure it is going to work well here and throughout the world.

@JayPhilosopher Actually most of the factories in China are under private ownership (often by government officials). They've all but abandoned Marxism entirely, and since they have made these reforms the economy has exploded. Marxism is more like the cultural revolution and brings the opposite of prosperity. Without private ownership, there is no private interest, no incentives to progress, and eventually, as the Soviets found out, no money.

There's nothing free market about the FDIC, or fractional reserves, or the Federal Reserve. The central bank was a key plank in the Communist Manifesto, and also played a major role in this ongoing financial crisis.

@reefpirate China, it is true, was affected by the banking fiasco as was every country. China does own an exorbitant amount of U.S. treasury bonds. In the middle of the crisis the Bank of China did invest around half a billion dollars in Rothschild. I am not going to be a cheerleader for China but Canada also affected (although minimally due to heavier regulation than we). Fractional reserve is extremely free market as is the federal reserve (a privately run org.)

The Federal Reserve, although "private", holds a monopoly over American currency that is enforced by the state. Which makes it worse: it's kind of like the new Healthcare bill that mandates that people buy insurance from private firms. Fractional reserve would be less prevalent if not assisted so much by state power as well. Eg. the FDIC and other "security" measures.

The key word at the end there is "other people's money". We are probably in agreement that banks should not be bailed out. When they are, it is not capitalism.
Perhaps you consider capitalism to be too similar to anarchism. They are different. You need a state to uphold contracts, property rights, etc. But the state is no good at feeding, housing or banking, etc.
