actually RedNickII Jean Lafitte was born on 1776 – died 1823 while marx was born May 5, 1818 and died March 14, 1883 so marx would have been 5 years old when lafitte died.
Whatever, was Marx human with all the usual human failings?, yes of course. He was screwing his housekeeper, the letters of Jennie Marx seem to confirm that. Was he an 'alcoholic'? probably not but he did drink a lot of beer. Was he 'lazy'? well any guy who can produce as much work as Marx did can hardly be called lazy. Was he anti Jewish? it seems not (but why should it matter if he was?), Marx believed that over the centuries, Jews in Europe had been more or less forced to live as Bankers.
At 0:57 I've heard that a lot. But people need to realize that during Marx's time, Jews were seen as the worst of the worst capitalists, like they had the reputation of practicing usury and whatnot. Also take into account that "Jew" meant something completely different in France in 1850 than it does today.
may i ask simple questions, if communism have a great ideas to liberate human kind from opression why it's failed in the end? did marx (and engels) miss some points in their teachings ? marx was a genius yes no doubt about it but when his ideas failed in field of implementation (ussr, red china etc..etc) does it make no use? same as religions..religions are full of shit but people still follows it..just like marx said religion is an opium..people need to get high to their sorrow..
Communism didn't fail, it was defeated. It was called the Cold WAR after all. Sometimes we lose wars. Often the ideas were implemented just find in the countries you mentioned, but corruption and privilege brought forth a new ruling class. That is why we need cultural revolutions, a continuation of class struggle under socialism, if communism is to survive. When an airplane crashes, people don't assume flying isn't possible. They instead investigate why the airplane crashed....
thanks for your replay comrade...marx predict that capitalism will fade away because of its own nature...when worker class in whole world unite (is it possible ??) and take revolution to overthrow the capitalist and replace it with proletariate dictatorship..what's the meaning of this? one side he said the proletariate doesn't necessary need a revolution but other he said they must please explain this..cheeers
@IndoAtheist Capitalism won't just fade away, it's contradictions will help bring about it's own death. One of the contradictions is the one between workers and the rulers. Revolution is the solution to the contradictions. If they don't make some form of revolution, then either society will collapse or capitalism will remain.
thanks for your replay comrade...marx predict that capitalism will fade away because of its own nature...when worker class in whole world unite (is it possible ??) and take revolution to overthrow the capitalist and replace it with proletariate dictatorship (sort of)..please explain this..cheeers
And then make improvements to future airplane models so such things don't happen again. The same goes for politics and economics. Had the USA suffered a crippling embargo like the USSR and China, had the USA faced the same amount of destruction the Soviets did during WWII, then I think the US would have collapsed instead of the Soviet Bloc.
The downfall of communism doesn't have as much to do with theory as you think. It has to do with serious political attacks from the US.
mmm...mao did cultural revolution in the 60's but the result was totally chaotic so collectivism cannot be forced to the masses, because basically people is individual in nature..and to create happines they should make their own selves to be happy first..so fuck with other people happines..this is major problem to implement communism/marxism..
okay...here's my next argumentation people wants to be happy right???, people want to be equal (in certain things of course),people want to be free, etc..etc..so why is communism limiting these basic rights???...
Of course people have the right to religion. The constitution of the USSR during Stalin's era even called for freedom to believe in God.
Communism, the stateless and classless society, can only be reached after at least most of the world is taken over by the workers and peasants. Until then, proletarian states are in another phase called socialism. This is an important transition phases between capitalism and communism. This is what we saw in the past. Read the Manifesto.
I believe you've asked me this before gasdfw. The answer is yes. Sections of the Orthodox Church sided with the Bolsheviks, Stalin eased a lot of restrictions on religion during WWII, and Mao said the people have the right to "theism and atheism." James Connolly, another communist, was Catholic himself.
Because Trotskyism has an element of "market socialism" in it, which is more capitalist, or social-democratic, than Marxist. I have a video on why I don't like Trotsky. It's called "Leon Trotsky: A Biography". I'll send you a private message with the video.
You talk like a pussy. Your voice sounds like a homosexual, which Marx also hated. Marx hated Jews and cheered when Whites cremated the Mexican scum. He was against slavery because it was harmful to the White working class not because he thought we should have a multiracial one world based on equality between Whites and muds. Marx ends his attack "On the Jewish Question" by calling for them to no longer exist. He was right then and even more correct today. We need to rid Jews from the world.
If you watched the video, or muted it and read the words, then you'd know that everything you just said about Marx was wrong. Furthermore, there is no such thing as sounding gay. If you know so much about gay people, then you'd know that. Furthermore, what does anybody's sexuality have to do with anything said here? Nothing, that is what. You are just a pervert who can't help but inject sex into every conversation. You're just jealous that I have a better, northern accent than your fat ass.
Furthermore, Marx said that the Jews needed to be liberated from Judaism. He was just calling for an end to their religion, not for extermination. Marx hated religion.
No. I like to consider myself a Maoist, but I'm trying to get away from all of these dogmatic labels (like Trotskyist, Maoist, Titoist, etc) and learn from every experience. Let's face it, the past is dead. Trotsky is dead, Stalin is dead. Their good ideas should live, but their personality cults should vanish.
Are you that willfully ignorant? You're part of the Trotsky cult. Look at what you're saying here. This is the exact line that all Trotskyist parties advocate. That is what THEY want you to say. And yes, Trotsky did have a cult following. Maybe not in the USSR, but he had one all right. All leaders have them.
That is true to an extent for Trotsky but Lenin never wanted one. Stalin made a personality cult of Lenin to gain support. I remember Lenin's wife saying something like "please don't worship him it meaned so much little to him" I know i'm not exactly right on that quote but she did say something like that.
Stalin made a personality cult of Lenin? Stalin himself criticized his own personality cult, and he wasn't fond of the term Stalinism. All the crap you hear about Stalin is lies and over-exaggerations from the capitalist media. The Nazis originally made lies about the USSR. Then the US and friends used the lies. Hell, a media baron in the US during the pre-war era was a Nazi sympathizer. You don't trust them on anything else, why trust them about Stalin?
@orgthingy To say that a man is homophobic in the nineteenth century is easybut you can hardly attack him on this point as Homesexuality was generally disapproved in Europe until the twentieth century. Most people would not have even thought about homosexuality because unlike today you wouldn't hear about it every two seconds.
Well, I pretty much have the ability to know if it's a capitalist lie or not :-p anyhow, wikipedia the "Socialism_and_LGBT_rights" article and check the Engels part
Yeah, so do I. And Wikipedia is biased. I looked at the section you referred to. It's the same section of Engels' works that I mentioned in the video. The Wikipedia bastards just took his quotes out of context. Like I said in the video. It wasn't gays he was referring to, but rather about the division of power in social and sexual relations of ancient Greek society.
If you hate and fear Marxism . THINK. Just where did you learn to hate and fear it ? From a newspaper owned by a Rich person ? From Stalin`s psycho regime which crushed inner party democracy and installed a police state ? Who owns what you think ? That is a Marxist question.
help me out guys, people at school always ask me what is the incentive to work in a communist society. i say, why does a doctor work or a chemist? figuratively of course but that is not enough for them. help me out guys?'
In a communist society people work to receive. It's "from each according to ability, to each according to need" NOT "from ability to sit on your ass to need."
In a socialist society (the transition phase from capitalism to communism) it's "from each according to ability, to each according to work."
I hope that helps. Next time, instead of using a doctor or a chemist as an example, try the president. I hope all of this helps. :)
yeah that is a pet peeve of mine i hate it. if i even say that israel is guilty of at least some human rights violations and consequently needs to be investigated by an unbias party with the least amount of impediaments afforded by the situation. thats enough to be not only anti israeli and pro palestinian but a nazis and an anti semite even though palestinians are a semetic people and im supposed to be pro palestine
"Religion is the opium of the people" ~ Karl Marx.
This quote quite clearly shows that karl thought of relgion as something to help people keep there mind off of things in life, like people use drugs today. It doesn't say (Which people sometimes think) that is should be banned.
Great video comrade, good job at dispersing the lies.
Wow---I've never heard these accusations even from talking to Bushites!
On the issue of religion, though, the myth I've found more than that he wanted to "ban" religion was that he was actually devoutly religious, which is "supported" by a distortion taken from using "opiate of the masses" out of context (it was a painkiller. they were used to heal people!). They also fail to realize the implications of the Opium War, to which Marx was not blind.
Interesting. You'd be surprised by the bullshit I hear from Nazis, Cappies, and other screwballs. I've never heard that Marx was religious. The closest thing to that I've heard is the Nazi lies. Which are always "blah blah blah Zionist blah blah."
Good video.
