Hartman was actually a Greek who was recrutied by USA to fight the Germans and he used to pilot a P 51 at the latter part of the war he was piloting a starfighter jet.

Correct Hartman was a P 51 Mustang pilot and a pretty good one too I think he got 252 German assholes before the war ended.
