Many people have considered that Norman gets really no good ending. The best would be if he leave the FBI, but that means he lost his job. The second best are the hallucinations and maybe he did get therapy after that, who knows? You can choose between the two other endings which is worse, Norman dying or having to live forever in a the ARI, but with the satisfaction that Blake may suffer to.
The last ending of this video follows differently if you don't take the Triptocaine drug whenever the game is giving you the option to. (When he automatically takes it, that doesn't count) The scene where the tanks appear on his desk does not play in the game if you don't take the Triptocaine. So that is probably the best ending for Jayden, besides the "Reasignation" ending, but it kinda sucks that he doesn't fight Shelby or help save Shaun in that Ending. :P
@boyislaw Yeah considering I've beaten this game multiple times and nowhere on the internet does it say that not taking the drugs or not using the glasses cause a different ending. if you have proof than show me but as far as I know, taking tripto does not affect the ending.
@XxTheFinalDuelistxX Kinda, Like not taking it the first time results in a extended scene between Jayden and Ethan, no difference in Jayden Blues, not taking it in Mad Jack results a longer scene. Kinda just makes some scenes longer.
@Claren2030 I imagine Blake has been thinking a bit about Norman (Even if you hate someone, it's weird when they're gone) and feels slightly bad about the whole thing. When he puts on the glasses a projection of Norman comes from Blake's Subconscious. I imagine Blake will see Norman everywhere even without the glasses and go slightly mad.
@MetalMarioFist Or because the ending's called "Uploaded" it could mean Jayden's sub-conscious is imprinted in the glasses (Since it relies on the brain to work) so when Blake puts it on, Norman appears as being a part of the glasses.
@TheTimboektoe11 Norman saw the blue tanks due too everexposure to the ari (his glasses). He used them for song long and so often he now can't distinguish between reality and virtual reality. So that harmless game of wall ball in the glasses was hurting him.
I've never played this game, but I intend to because I hear nothing but good stuff from it. The reason why I want to play this game is because of this guy right here. He seems like a cool character to control.
I'm probably missing out on a lot of stuff, aren't I?
The glasses (ARI) allow Norman to search through crime scenes quickly and more effectively. They can also help him review files on crimes. The drug he is on is Triptocine, a drug that is like an insane painkiller. He has a high risk of ODing and it is extremely addictive. When he goes through withdrawals they are extremely painful and he is compelled to take the drug to stop the pain. If he chooses not to take it, he'll have to wait the pain out.
@killerassassin1198 When you wait to get your office in the police departament, the origami tanks were one of the minigames you could play with ARI glasses
:( my Norman died of an overdose because I took too long with the ARI files. Lol I noticed his face getting all bloody and then I was like WTF why is his face getting red - and then he...! (well you know). I was SO PISSED! XD I didn't even want him to take the trip!
@CardTrickRevolution When you wait to get your office in the police departament, the origami tanks were one of the minigames you could play with ARI glasses
I got the hallucination ending, I choose to believe that he got therapy and improved. The FBI pays good money to have psychologists on hand for that kind of thing.
Apparently you missed one, going through his journey without taking Triptocane (Have I spelled it right?). Basically the last ending without Tanks. Well I heard that from Johnny and Elliot from the SGB.
These endings...D: I'm happy with the one that I got, but with him dying the other two, or losing his job for the other endings. Jeeeeez. Poor fellow can't get a break.
It's a damn shame that they didn't write some better story endings for Jayden,as he's easily one of the best characters.I always play the last level (Providing the story went in his favour) over and over again just to watch him dive into action, which is probably one of the best parts in the game.
Is it wrong of me, that i think Normans quite fine...............
On a totally different note, try as i might. The endings i get for Jayden. ALWAYS SUCK. Ive had EVERY other ending except for the one where he resigns. Cant get this one for love, nor money.
teh last ending is my favourite. its like wow wtf are tanks doing here, better take off these glasses, then, wow wtf are these tanks doing here better take off these-oh shit
@SOMERANDOMGUYDOZ i think if you where those ARI too long it could make brain problems. i think if the tanks shot him the brain will go offline (brain attack) like the matrix
@dougd1015 You analyze the video of when you fight the man in the night club. If you pause the video at the right point, you fund he has a gold watch. Run a geoanalysis of the watch.
Man Jayden was my favorite character and I looked foward to his storyline more then the others lol. When I got his resignation the first time I was mad bcuz I wanted him to be a hero! I thought you needed Tripto & the glove to get them to work, but it looks like anyone can jump into magic-space by just putting on the fancy glasses >_> pfff !
@brikered Tripto's illegal.... Why do you think they give you the option of not taking it and it still works? And the glove is to interact with it. Use your brain.
The tanks are a symptom of his tripto withdrawl which i assume helps or enhances the ARI i really don't know much about what hes really addicted too The ARI or tripto and haven't found much to explain it
I have to agree with sumanoskae up above. Sure there was no back story. But his tech addiction and trouble with withdrawal seemed to me the most relatable for I am not a women, a mass murderer, or a father (yet). One of my favorite scenes was the part when he fought mad jack, for a lot of people got trapped in cars while handcuffed to their steering wheels, but his was the most memorable. And while I think Madison seemed to be the weakest character, he could still be improved.
@frank1993r It's a game from the ARI , you can notice it when he's waiting in the police station and he's choosing a game. He scrolls by a tank, something else, and chooses the baseball.
@Bottery actually he can flush the tripto dwn the toilet and not get brain damaged after if u dont take any triptocaine throughout the game (cutscenes dont count)
@Bottery actually he can flush the tripto dwn the toilet and not get brain damaged after if u dont take any triptocaine throughout the game cutscenes dont count but u have to refuse or fail to take it when u encounter mad jack
I thought the "seeing tanks" ending was always in the arbitrary best ending for Norman. The brain damage is speculated to have come from the augmented reality glasses he uses all the time, not the tripto. The tripto does make his nose bleed and kill him in a separate ending.
@Bottery actually he can flush the tripto dwn the toilet and not get brain damaged after if u dont take any triptocaine throughout the game cutscenes dont count
@Bottery Well technically, he doesn't lose his job, more like getting away from the ARI and gets his brain back on track. It's his desicion, not someone elses.
triptocaine is the drug that Norman uses, its a drug used to control over-exposure to the ARI. During the game, Norman also says it is used to take the pain away, so it can be used as some sort of pain killer.
this could mean that the ARI can cause depression/ pain
I felt really bad that I got the resignation ending for Norman Because I liked him,I thought it was bad ,but now seeing these other endings and 'good' ending I'm actually glad it turned out that way :)
@slylover123 True. The game gives you /so/ many chances to make up for mistakes...makes sense though. It would be frustrating if you could die just by making the tiniest wrong move.
@slylover123 I think it is emotionally really hard. You can pretty much put the controller down and watch your character get his ass kicked to death, you know, for trophies. A trophy called "so close" can be taken that way, but it is too painful to watch Ethan die... Sry for the spoiler though.
I really wonder if you can stop jayden from the ARI addiction too. Using too much ARI (taking too long to figure out the killer in the last office scene) makes his eyes bleed. Might be connection...
how do you get the ending where he resighns and if jayden goes to the warehouse is there any way blake wont come with him and bring a whole bunch of cops
My ending involved him staying alive and being branded a hero on a talk show. But in the end it shows him playing with ARI and when he takes it off, he sees ARI type tanks crawling over his desk and pointing the gunners on him. The screen then fades to black.......... DID HE DIED?
I wish they had delved deeper into Normans character, you don't really get an explanation for his personal issues, and the guilt he suffers from makes him seem a little thin skinned for an FBI agent. That's not a bad thing, but we never get any back story or coherent motivation for him, which is unfortunate because he seems to be the most troubled of the protagonists even though he's arguably the most detached and capable, and there was potential for a really complex and gripping character
@sumanoskae you know you are so correct.. Maybe .. and i mean MAYBE .. they might make another game kinda like heavy rain.. with a more intense plot with VERY realistic charecters like this one. ALL each complete
@sumanoskae I could've played the whole game as Norman, if I'd gotten the chance. That goes for all the characters, I guess, but Norm was my favorite to play.. :)
@BigUndertaker Totally agreed. Like the creators said, making a direct sequel would just be milking the series, but a spinoff game for Jayden would be awesome.
@sumanoskae Blame Sony, Quantum was going to make DLC for every character so you could learn more about them and their history but they were shut down in favor to create a Move patch for the game so they could bolster sales.
@ChadTheBad777 No, blame Quantum David Cage the director of the game wanted the DLC made, there were many plot holes in this game that would've been fixed by David, but Quantum wanted to do further projects after they intergrated the move
who else thought that the little tanks were cute? tho strange i thought it was random and cute!

Is it the video of the killer swinging the katana around or geoprofiling or what??
Please help.

@dougd1015 Analyse the video and pause it on the watch, or the gun, then geoprofile the option "the killer is a cop"

Thank you sooo much.
You really helped, I'll finally get to have Norman Jayden in the heat of things, insetad of quiting or getting an OD on the ARI glasses.

@dougd1015 I got the platinum last week :D

triptocaine is the drug that Norman uses, its a drug used to control over-exposure to the ARI. During the game, Norman also says it is used to take the pain away, so it can be used as some sort of pain killer.
this could mean that the ARI can cause depression/ pain

You know, if there was ever a situation where a good cop and a bad cop were needed, Jayden and Blake would be a great pick...

@Samaugsch there was a sequence of that in the game, two actually, one with the therapist and another with the jesus freak

I felt really bad that I got the resignation ending for Norman Because I liked him,I thought it was bad ,but now seeing these other endings and 'good' ending I'm actually glad it turned out that way :)

the only reason i got his bad ending was a sledgehammer to the face (twice), up until that moment i played almost perfectly with all lol

@98darkshadow It shows the background though. I doubt people can see that without glasses.

i found it so hard to die in this game
not just emotionally, but the actual gameplay didnt make it very easy to die.
slylover123 1 year ago
@slylover123 True. The game gives you /so/ many chances to make up for mistakes...makes sense though. It would be frustrating if you could die just by making the tiniest wrong move.
Sleyah 1 year ago
@Sleyah True. In fact, there are some trophies you can get by only "dieing" and making your way out of the second chance situation. E.g. Mad Jack.
slylover123 1 year ago
@slylover123 I think it is emotionally really hard. You can pretty much put the controller down and watch your character get his ass kicked to death, you know, for trophies. A trophy called "so close" can be taken that way, but it is too painful to watch Ethan die... Sry for the spoiler though.

I really wonder if you can stop jayden from the ARI addiction too. Using too much ARI (taking too long to figure out the killer in the last office scene) makes his eyes bleed. Might be connection...
Mick0Mania 1 year ago
@Mick0Mania there isnt
I managed to find all the clues before jayden's eye even began to bleed and I got ending 4

how do you get the ending where he resighns and if jayden goes to the warehouse is there any way blake wont come with him and bring a whole bunch of cops
sonicshooter15 1 year ago
My ending involved him staying alive and being branded a hero on a talk show. But in the end it shows him playing with ARI and when he takes it off, he sees ARI type tanks crawling over his desk and pointing the gunners on him. The screen then fades to black.......... DID HE DIED?
shaqqy88 1 year ago
@shaqqy88 he might have, though I prefer to think he just went crazy

did anyone notice in the second one he wasn't even wearing ari?
xxredlifexx 1 year ago
The one where he resigns isn't as bad as I first thought. He's a hero, a recent FBI agent. I'm sure he'll get a good job. 0_0

Can someone make a video with Norman Jayden being pulled by little "swarm bots"? It will be a cool ending... :)

Why did he say Normal Jayden? D: Doesn't he know that it's Nahman Jeden? Q A Q
Purufufuru 1 year ago
@best360gamer i think Norman's going mad from ARI and Tritocaine overdose
RandomDude372 1 year ago

@sumanoskae indeed its a kinda shame that it ended like a clif hanger

@sumanoskae The ide was to make DLC for Norman to make his story deeper.
Mylifeintechnicolor 11 months ago
@sumanoskae I could've played the whole game as Norman, if I'd gotten the chance. That goes for all the characters, I guess, but Norm was my favorite to play.. :)
Pinkaugust 10 months ago
@sumanoskae Norman should get his own game
BigUndertaker 10 months ago
@BigUndertaker Totally agreed. Like the creators said, making a direct sequel would just be milking the series, but a spinoff game for Jayden would be awesome.
Slightlybaka 10 months ago
@sumanoskae Blame Sony, Quantum was going to make DLC for every character so you could learn more about them and their history but they were shut down in favor to create a Move patch for the game so they could bolster sales.
ChadTheBad777 8 months ago
@ChadTheBad777 really? i've always liked sony but this and the new online passes are pissing me off
17921newaccount 8 months ago
@ChadTheBad777 No, blame Quantum David Cage the director of the game wanted the DLC made, there were many plot holes in this game that would've been fixed by David, but Quantum wanted to do further projects after they intergrated the move
