Remember listening to this song as a child (it is my mothers favourite song). Amazing song even better voice. R.I.P Billy and thank you for the memories
God takes all the legends! He wants them all to himself . . please god create another legend like this in the 2000s . . so it will be 'like he's never been gone' yeah, 'once upon a dream' 'a thousand stars in the sky' 1001 including Billy.. It will be 'halfway to Paradise' when we meet again
@Tazbo34 He was a mega star..He had the whole package, looks, charisma.etc.To a point it was billy that put liverpool on the map..The Beatles carried it through..He was a one off..I find it unbelievble that he never had a number 1 record..Halfway to paradise...Should have been the one..Your music lives on Billy you have a lot of fans down here..Rest in peace
@Tazbo34 He would have just been another dead elvis. And he is dead! They're Flesh & Blood, once you mix chemicals, they're just guine-pigs. Say what you want about Billy, but those that know: Know!"
@Grifiki Billy had rheumatic fever several times as a child from about 7. He didn't have drugs then, not even antibiotics which would have probably stopped him getting heart disease. He had Heart surgery in '71 and '76 and needed more, but couldn't face it. So he died. Try hard not to write tripe unless you know what you're talking about dear.
Truly agree he wrote his own songs from the early days before he was discovered something his idol Elvis never achieved, he was more Eddie Cochrane than Elvis though.
truely one of the best songs of all time

He was the man, it's a pity he didn't have Col. Tom Parker as his manager,he would have been a mega star, the late great Billy Fury!!!!!!!!

Sadly there are no singers around today to match his talent, persona and looks, thanks to the X -Factor crap that bombards our eardrums, eh???
