  • I was stage right with two of Steve Youngs sons for this performance, it was a magical world!! They laughed and buzzed with me as my mind got sufficiently blown, seeing Mother Goose for the first time. Hard to fault a band that takes the stage on lawnmowers!!

    So beautiful when Steves keyboard line gets us all emotional at around the 5 minute mark. Best band to make it out of Dunedin EVER!!!!

  • saw this great band many times in oz and still reckon when they hadpixie micheals doing front of house with six 4560s and 2 x2441 jblhorns a side was the best sound i ever heard even better than the double meyer.they still rock as ever.

  • Ashame they were more known for thier novelty songs. They have some guts still.

  • Mother Goose, used to play the Booragoon Hotel on a Friday Night, they were a brillinat band and always had verybody singing

  • must have watched this band at least 50 times at the playroom gold coast they are the best live band ive seen. did a ripping version of stairway to heaven and paint it black brings back lots of good memories thanks for posting

  • top band saw them at a moove concert in Perth WA in the early 80s

    and agian in Albany very tight band who put fun into rock. any idea where i can get cds?

  • they had two other cds.I believe this came from a cd I Believe In Fairy tales. cant remeber the other title . From what i believe Stuffed was the best of the three. I have seen Stuffed on cd i have it on lp and cd NZ bands dominated the oz rock scene during this period.

  • We, used to the play the same PUB and Club circuit each night as Moother Goose. (Had the same manager actually). They had top billing needless to say and marcelle rodeka. Have lots of footage on 8mm film when I get around to it I'll post it with the "Bands" permission.

  • I can't sing very well was released as a single only. You can buy it on vinyl from a site called musicstack. They'll send you the single and a copy burnt on a cd too! Mother Goose were awesome!

  • WOW. Thanks for posting this. Am I right in assuming this was a one off show?? I would love to see these guys in Oz again. Pretty good for a bunch of guys well into their 50s.
