Hi @ytcomposer .. you are right that there was no direct lead-in to the discussion on nukes by the young Iranian lady, but this is a panel of very astute and seasoned commentators and all Israeli/Palestine issues pale into insignificance when compared to the nuclear issue (which is the proverbial elephant in the room). The arab side of the feels that the world generally would be against them developing nukes, while the israeli nuclear program has gone on with some considerable external support.

Hi @ytcomposer .. you are right that there was no direct lead-in to the discussion on nukes by the young Iranian lady, but this is a panel of very astute and seasoned commentators and all Israeli/Palestine issues pale into insignificance when compared to the nuclear issue (which is the proverbial elephant in the room). The arab side of the feels that the world generally would be against them developing nukes, while the israeli nuclear program has gone on with some considerable external support.

He's a politics professor at a pretty good university in australia and is very good when it comes to his area of expertise. But if you've seen him in the other videos in his area of knowledge, you'd probably understand his reasoning. Once again, I do agree that in this session he does avoid the questions and does ramble.

I am talking about relevance. You want to compare murder rates in a systematic way? You should compare those of peaceful countries together, and those of countries at war together!
You cannot compare the number of people getting killed in Norway (for example), with the numbers of people getting killed in Iraq and then claim to be systematic! Iraq still hasn't recovered from the war of 2003!
