  • i had to say this even though im 2 minutes into this video, IS ANYONE GETTING FREAKED OUT BY THAT HALF NAKED GUY DOING THOSE STRAIGHT UP FREAKY MOVEMENTS WITH HIS BODIES????

    #FreakyShit

    *continues watching video*

  • Ignorant America. Everybody should see this video.

  • muslim mistaken for terrorist!

  • speak english or die get these foreign pieces of shit out of our country!

  • @TheHellbilly1986 well maybe you should leave then, none of the Natives spoke English in OUR Country

  • @TheHellbilly1986 I've got news for you, buddy. You weren't here first. Should the First Nations people be saying that to us who migrated from France and England? Should we then speak THEIR language because they were here first? We all share this earth: deal with it. The sooner we learn to love one another and appreciate the differences (appreciate doesn't mean we have to believe what they believe, but accept) the better chance we have at surviving on this earth without destroying the human race

  • @akaorilove I think he was quoting something from the video

  • i'm mexican and sometimes i have trouble to understand the poem so, would you be kind and put the whole poem?? thanks! i would like to publish it as well!!

  • 65% of all americans have grandparents the netherlands germany and england and all 65% are so stupid that the scream at foreingers go back to your own country, those 65% should do a check where their really from

  • Why are people so blind

  • I wouldn't give up my faith even if every man, woman and child was against me. Rather be hated for what I am, then loved for something I'm not.

"Be in the world like a traveller, or like a passer on, and reckon yourself as of the dead." Prophet Muhammad(pbuh).

  • This fills my heart with Anguish . Being Native American I can totally relate.

  • Keep up the good work. The world needs more people like you!!!!!

  • Wow MashaAllah good job! very powerful message!

  • Awesome video -- thanks for uploading!

  • This is one of the most powerful things I've ever watched. Wow.

  • Listen guys. Religious hate crimes occur all over the world. Regardless of my Muslim brothers or my Christian brothers or any other religion for that matter. Why r we having a war against who is being tortured the most. Stats can be manipulated. Media has and will always display based on ratings. An eye for "an eye will leave the whole world blind". This is believed by Hindus, and all the abrahamic religions. So why do we say we believe in the words but fail to practice it?

  • iSLAM NEEDS REFORMATION. WE ALL KNOW THAT. please stop telling us that islam is peace. No one believes that anymore.

If you are unhappy with the opinions of non=muslims about islam, look within islam for the cause, instead of shouting at the world.

  • Muslim mistaken for terrorist.

  • It's simple. Kill the white man.

  • best of the left indeed....but this goes beyond left vs right. everyone should agree with this

  • @elliisssee same for me

  • This makes so much more sense watching it in video! I heard it on the Best of the Left podcast, and while I agree that the crimes spoken of are terrible, but it just sounded like the insane rambling of a person that needs to be committed to a psych ward. I actually like the video!

  • This isn't actually true...

According to the FBI Unified Crime Report for 2008 (the last complete published report), there were

    105 anti-Islamic hate crimes.

During the same time period, there were 1,013 anti-Jewish hate crimes.

During the same period, there were 716 anti-white hate crimes.

So we're actually more tolerant of Islam than being white.

  • @SomethingQueer The events in the 1700% Project: Mistaken For Muslim were from true hate crimes. You can visit the website for citation. the link is - bit(dot)ly/1700percentcitation

  • @SomethingQueer If you look at the figures for the FBI Unified Crime Report for 2000 it says that there were 28 anti-islam hate crime incidents. The next year that number jumps to 481. Roughly a 1700% increase.

Those numbers do start going down after 2001 but its still 1000% more than it was in the 90s.

  • @hamalmang You are a liar. I have seen those figures, and the crimes against jews and christians outnumber those against muslims by 20 to 1

  • @foamulator That is bullshit. Maybe you can't read and do simple math.

Hate crime incidents against christians is about 110 a year on average over the last decade in the US. Islam is a little more than that but considering that there are about 50 times more christians than muslims that means that muslims are the victims about 50 times as much.

  • @foamulator While hate crimes against Jews often outnumber all other religious hate crimes, you can hardly say that hate crimes against Christians outnumber those against Muslims, when you have statistics like 38 Catholics and 35 Protestants facing hate crimes in one year, and 481 Muslims facing hate crimes in the same year.

  • @yayhistory I might also add that COUNTLESS cases of so-called "anti muslim crimes" , WERE ACTUALLY CHOREOGRAPHED BY THE MUSLIM "VICTIM", in order to push their cultural warfare agenda.

All muslims are liars. They lie to us, to the media, and mostly to themselves.

  • @foamulator I'm sorry, I was under the impression that you were sane. As this obviously isn't the case, and you're delusional, I'll just leave you to your imaginary world of conspiracy theories. I'll be over here in the real world, with facts and knowledge.

  • Don't hate on any race whatsoever. This is not a fight between whites and everyone else. Fight against idiocy, in all it's many creeds.

  • poetry + dance = beautiful.

  • I showed this to my dad and he said it inspired him to hate Muslims. But thats my dad, I think this is a great work and I wish my father understood our religion.

  • @andipoetic

Yeah b/c your Dad is *determined* to hate Muslims, no matter what. Everything makes him say that. Yeah, cause its totally OUR fault that people are attacked. We totally WANT to experience this level of discrimination. -.- *eyeroll*

  • @andipoetic

Wait? You are muslim and your dad is not? why would he hate your religion? if you are his son?

  • @MrStruggle2 I'm his daughter, lol, not his son. but he just does. I can't explain why because he won't really tell me himself but he won't let me practice where he can see. He honestly seems to think I'm going to blow something up. I wish I knew why.

  • And people think I'M the terrorist.

  • !Great Job @atomicshogun keep up the great work !

  • I cant understand half of the video. back up? .... mmkay

  • @sarabellagrace When she is citing a news report, she reiterates the most incredulous piece of that report, calling our attention to the extreme stupidity/hatred/hypocrisy by saying Back Up, and repeating what must not go by unheard. And un-felt.

  • @MarsCaulton thanks fr the reply. I understand it now. :)

  • Thank you for this. I'm so moved I can't even express how I feel. I can say am crying.

  • This video was so incredibly powerful and moving! That's so cool that shes Muslim Khmai, my dad back in Cambodia said he was friends with some Muslim Cambodian people before he had to leave the country. I am always glad to see anti prejudice action that helps create awareness. I really liked this video, it's just so amazing! :) and the Khmai dancer, Prumsodun Ok was amazing too

  • Wow.

  • This is incredible and I agree with rebelmars that this is what politically oriented media needs to start taking the shape of.

I drive cab for a living in a relatively large state university and I can't believe the level of racism and xenophobia I hear on a nightly basis coming from these college students regarding Muslims and people of color in general. I think were heading into grim times and hopefully artists like you can speak up and get a message of tolerance and understanding across.

  • I originally saw this on Link. I was moved to tears. Partially because I had to face my own prejudices. In my community it is the Hispanic. I found myself judging them at times when I didn't know them. Although the ones I have gotten to know I adore. I am learning. Your an amazing artist. Keep it up.

  • Anida, I am almost speechless... This is what is called for now, right now, in this world! Your stance. Your poetry. Your media. The beauty of so many people, the stories of so many people, the incredible synthesis of this and the dance, OMG, that DANCER ...

Anida, this work has raised the bar for ALL politically/socially-conscious art: the level of exposure, of soul, of beauty, of commitment, of anger, of dissent, of rebellion. Art like this reaches inside crevices no flyer can touch.
