@djlastrina Although I agree, that the 6 cylinder engines are very cool, I would not rule out the 4 cylinders engines so quickly and to say that they have no power is utter nonsense. The Valvetronic system contantly adjusts the valves opening giving you more power when accelerating. The sound of the engine when driving at 3500-4000 rpm is fantastic. All BMW engines are marvellous feats of engineering dispite the number of cylinders.
@djlastrina Ahaha, sorry dude. It's a bone stock. The stock exhaust pipe diameter is pretty large though. I haven't actually measured the pipe, but I think it's about 3".
The engine also has continuously variable valve lift system (Valvetronic), which makes it sound different at high RPMs.
you can scratch up your piston walls when revvin it when you first start it up when its cold, and when they get scratched up, it can take many thousands of miles of life off your engine, and revving an automatic vehicle like that when its cold can rip out a torque converter...my grandfather did it once with one of his automatics.
Don't worry. The engine was not cold. I just got back from a drive.
I thought it'd be cooler to include the engine start sequence into the video, although it apparently made some people misunderstood that it was a cold start. :)
Not very solid car... Terrible sound when closing the door!

This is no appropriate sound for a BMW 320i at my oppinion.
CrankshaftRotator 1 year ago
Does the 320i have enough power?
markus11chung 1 year ago
@markus11chung Enough for what? For a daily driver, 150 PS is just fine. It can do 180 km/h (110 mph) without much effort.

they should go back to 6 cylinder 2.0 engines the sound was great now it sounds like a hysteric 4 pot
masta500000 3 years ago
Agreed. But their 4-bangers sound quite good IMO, seconded only to Alfa Romeo's.
Krotchyminator 3 years ago
Not bad for a 4 cylinder even though i have a 320i e46 with inline 6 which is the best sound but this isnt bad

@L1ndja Yes, nothing beats 6-cylinder engine!
Krotchyminator 1 year ago
If you install the bluewave exhaust or any other type of sports exhaust, it will sound more wonderful, almost like a mini-V8 engine.
EmperorVerna 2 years ago
Yes, Bluewave exhaust system does sound very good. I'd want to but it's difficult to get one here. (Eisenmann and Arqray are a lot more common.)
Krotchyminator 2 years ago
Hmm, I think 2 liter is better off with 4-cyls, although a 6-cyl 2 liter is ver nice indeed. There's a reason why they switched, check it out.

no it will be fine
ilovenissan 3 years ago
your gonna rip your torque converter out if you keep revving it like that
GeoMetroMan91 3 years ago
How so? explain.
