What a debate - whether it is Johnny Cash or SSGT Barry Sadler singing this song. It doesn't quite sound like J.C., and it is slower than the released version of Barry Sadler's song. Don't forget that J.C. had a popular variety show in the late 60's; he was "the Man in Black".  He didn't approve of that stupid war, but he wasn't against the soldiers who went there. This could very well be a recording of SSGT Barry Sadler as a guest on the Johnny Cash TV Show.
